      • A Study on Creative Engagement Model in Online Music Concert

        Zijian Zhu,Hyungsin Kim 한국HCI학회 2023 한국HCI학회 학술대회 Vol.2023 No.2

The evolution of technology has changed how audiences interact with concerts. The development of digital technology has provided a more personalized and refined engagement experience for users. This study analyzed the user engagement of virtual music concert/festival services. This study collects users perceived experiences during their participation in the virtual music concert through structured interviews. Meanwhile, this paper analyzes the influence of the users behavioral state, Perception of participation during the service. We find that users are more likely to participate in virtual concert formats on game platforms. We also improved the user engagement model based on Bilde’s engagement framework. Our study results can provide theoretical references and practical guidance for virtual concert managers and designers.

      • A Study on the Impacts of Generative AI on Diverse Categories of User-Generated Content (UGC) Creators

        Zijian Zhu,Pengyu Cai,Younghwan Pan 한국HCI학회 2024 한국HCI학회 학술대회 Vol.2024 No.1

This study aims to understand the unique characteristics and needs of different usergenerated content (UGC) groups, including unskilled, single-skilled and multi-skilled individuals using authoring tools. Using interviews, our research focuses on their psychological motivations and behavioral patterns when using AI-powered content creation. We explored the specific role of AI in the creative process of UGC and its wideranging impact on the ideation, design and implementation stages through field observations and in-depth interviews. Furthermore, we address the impact of generative AI on creatives of different skill levels and its influence on the quality, diversity, and innovativeness of content by exploring the changes and challenges that AI-human collaboration will bring across the creative ecosystem. This study highlights the subtle differences in the integrated application of AI across different creative fields and underscores the profound impact on a diverse population of creatives committed to providing comprehensive insight into the evolving process of UGC creation.

EID3 Promotes Glioma Cell Proliferation and Survival by Inactivating AMPKα1

        Xiang, Yaoxian,Zhu, Lei,He, Zijian,Xu, Lei,Mao, Yuhang,Jiang, Junjian,Xu, Jianguang The Korean Neurosurgical Society 2022 Journal of Korean neurosurgical society Vol.65 No.6

Objective : EID3 (EP300-interacting inhibitor of differentiation) was identified as a novel member of EID family and plays a pivotal role in colorectal cancer development. However, its role in glioma remained elusive. In current study, we identified EID3 as a novel oncogenic molecule in human glioma and is critical for glioma cell survival, proliferation and invasion. Methods : A total of five patients with glioma were recruited in present study and fresh glioma samples were removed from patients. Four weeks old male non-obese diabetic severe combined immune deficiency (NOD/SCID) mice were used as transplant recipient models. The subcutaneous tumor size was calculated and recorded every week with vernier caliper. EID3 and AMP-activated protein kinase α1 (AMPKα1) expression levels were confirmed by real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blot assays. Colony formation assays were performed to evaluate cell proliferation. Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assays were performed for cell viability assessment. Trypan blue staining approach was applied for cell death assessment. Cell Apoptosis DNA ELISA Detection Kit was used for apoptosis assessment. Results : EID3 was preferentially expressed in glioma tissues/cells, while undetectable in astrocytes, neuronal cells, or normal brain tissues. EID3 knocking down significantly hindered glioma cell proliferation and invasion, as well as induced reduction of cell viability, apoptosis and cell death. EID3 knocking down also greatly inhibited tumor growth in SCID mice. Knocking down of AMPKα1 could effectively rescue glioma cells from apoptosis and cell death caused by EID3 absence, indicating that AMPKα1 acted as a key downstream regulator of EID3 and mediated suppression effects caused by EID3 knocking down inhibition. These findings were confirmed in glioma cells generated patient-derived xenograft models. AMPKα1 protein levels were affected by MG132 treatment in glioma, which suggested EID3 might down regulate AMPKα1 through protein degradation. Conclusion : Collectively, our study demonstrated that EID3 promoted glioma cell proliferation and survival by inhibiting AMPKα1 expression. Targeting EID3 might represent a promising strategy for treating glioma.

      • A Survey of Remote Data Integrity Checking: Techniques and Verification Structures

Yu Chen,Feng Wang,Liehuang Zhu,Zijian Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.8 No.4

Cloud storage offers clients great convenience to relieve them from heavy burden of storage and management, so an increasing number of clients choose to outsource their data to remote cloud providers. However, for clients, this entails a sacrifice of actual control of these files. Remote servers may suffer from disk failure for uncertain reasons or even delete rarely accessed data to sell these storages to other clients. Therefore, there’s a great necessity for clients to make sure that their data are well stored in remote servers. Numbers of remote integrity checking (RIC) schemes are proposed to solve issues above, including following up work Provable Data Possession (PDP) and Proofs of Retrievability (PoR), which can be applied in cloud auditing. This paper presents state-of-the-art RIC schemes and makes a classification from the perspective of whether they support dynamic verifications, i.e., whether they can still be used to make verifications after clients modify, insert or delete files. In static verification schemes, we delve into the mechanisms and techniques used for integrity checking. For dynamic ones, we discuss the authentication structures that support dynamic operations. We also present several remarks to guide readers to a wide vision of data checking as conclusions and future work.
