Facile Fabrication of Superhydrophobic Cellulose/Fe2O3-STA Film with Nanoflower Morphologies for Heavy Oil Removal

        Chang-Lian Xu,Shiyi Wang,Lu Zhou,Yiwen Bi,Gang Yang,Jun Wu,Xiaohong Zhang 한국섬유공학회 2022 Fibers and polymers Vol.23 No.10

Heavy oils induced water pollutions are difficult to be eliminated due to the oils located under water. Herein, wefabricated superhydrophobic cellulose film with nanoflower structures via a Facile method to eliminate heavy oil from water. Cellulose films were in-situ modified with Fe2O3 and stearic acid (STA) for superhydrophobic modification. Thecorresponding superhydrophobic cellulose/Fe2O3-STA film has water contact angle of 155.5 º and sliding angle of 5.5 º, andcan maintains its superhydrophobicity when it is immersed in water. The film exists excellent self-cleaning property, and thedusts on the film could be easily swept away by running water drops. The film was further applied to separate heavy oil/watermixture with separation efficiency of 99.37 %, and the separation efficiency was maintained after 20 separation cycles aswell. The film can also be utilized to absorb small heavy oil drops under water. Thus, we not only develop a simple way toproduce superhydrophobic cellulose based films, but also provide superhydrophobic materials to solve water pollutioncaused by heavy oil.

L-lysine and L-arginine inhibit the oxidation of lipids and proteins of emulsion sausage by chelating iron ion and scavenging radical

        Xu, Peng,Zheng, Yadong,Zhu, Xiaoxu,Li, Shiyi,Zhou, Cunliu Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2018 Animal Bioscience Vol.31 No.6

Objective: To evaluate the effects of L-lysine (Lys)/L-arginine (Arg) on lipid and protein oxidation of emulsion sausage during storage and its possible mechanism. Methods: Four samples were prepared based on the presence or absence of additional sodium isoascorbate, Lys, or Arg: sample A (control), sample B (0.05 g of sodium isoascorbate), sample C (0.4 g of Lys), and sample D (0.4 g of Arg). Peroxide value (POV), thiobarbituric reactive substances (TBARS), protein carbonyls and thiols were measured. 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and hydroxyl radical-scavenging, ferrous ion-chelating ability were also measured. Results: Compared with the control, the sample treated with sodium isoascorbate, Lys or Arg had significantly lower POV during the initial 20 days, TBARS during the initial 15 days. Protein carbonyls were significantly lower compared Sample B, C, and D with A during the later storage (10 to 25 days); basically, protein thiols became lower during storage when the samples were treated with sodium isoascorbate, Lys, or Arg. Both Lys and Arg had weak reducing power but strong ferrous ion-chelating activity and DPPH radical- and hydroxyl radical-scavenging activity. Conclusion: Both Lys and Arg effectively inhibited the oxidation of lipids and proteins in emulsion sausage by scavenging free radicals and chelating ferrous ions. The results obtained may be favorable for the prevention of lipid and protein oxidation during processing and storage of meat products.

      • Designs and Simulations of Multi-factor in Trust Evaluation

        Zhao Bin,He Jingsha,Huang Na,Zhang Yixuan,Zhou Shiyi,Ji Jie 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.8 No.1

Trust Model is an efficient way of resolving the trust problems in open networks in which trust evaluation is a key issue to be addressed in trust management. According to the design rules of trust models, the problem of the lack of dynamic adapt ability in trust evaluating, the lack of effective aggregation of trust and the lack of considerations to incentive mechanisms and so on, this paper introduced the bonus-penalty factor which shows how reliable is the direct trust of the recommend entities to the subject and evaluation reliability of the recommend entities which is used to decide whether the access object would adopt the recommendation of the recommend entities during the calculation of the recommend trust. The measurement of integrated trust solves the weight problem between direct trust and recommendatory trust by introducing balanced weight factor. Finally, we present designs of bonus-penalty function and balanced weight factor and simulations by Matlab software.
