Classification of Imbalanced Data Based on MTS-CBPSO Method: A Case Study of Financial Distress Prediction

Yuping Gu,Longsheng Cheng,Zhipeng Chang 한국정보처리학회 2019 Journal of information processing systems Vol.15 No.3

The traditional classification methods mostly assume that the data for class distribution is balanced, whileimbalanced data is widely found in the real world. So it is important to solve the problem of classification withimbalanced data. In Mahalanobis-Taguchi system (MTS) algorithm, data classification model is constructedwith the reference space and measurement reference scale which is come from a single normal group, and thusit is suitable to handle the imbalanced data problem. In this paper, an improved method of MTS-CBPSO isconstructed by introducing the chaotic mapping and binary particle swarm optimization algorithm instead oforthogonal array and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to select the valid variables, in which G-means, F-measure,dimensionality reduction are regarded as the classification optimization target. This proposed method is alsoapplied to the financial distress prediction of Chinese listed companies. Compared with the traditional MTSand the common classification methods such as SVM, C4.5, k-NN, it is showed that the MTS-CBPSO methodhas better result of prediction accuracy and dimensionality reduction.

Novel Mutations in the UNC13D Gene Carried by a Chinese Neonate with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis

        Yuanyuan Chen,Zhujun Wang,Yuping Cheng,Yongmin Tang 연세대학교의과대학 2013 Yonsei medical journal Vol.54 No.4

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) in different ethnicities has been described in the literature, but few cases in patients of Chinese descent have been reported. Here, we describe the case of a Chinese neonate presenting with HLH carrying novel, compound heterozygous mutations of the UNC13D gene, including [c.2295_2298delGCAG, p.Glu765Aspfs*27] in exon 23, c.-250C>T, c.1+30G>A, c.279C>T, c.888G>C, c.18+36A>G, c.20-48T>C, c.1977C>T, c.2296C>T, c.24-46C>T, c.26-9_26-8insC, c.2599A>G, c.28+48C>T and c.3198A>G, some of which have not been reported in the literature. Cytokine profile analyses were performed in this patient, and the results were consistent with our previous findings in HLH patients. Cytokine profile monitoring may be helpful in differentiating among various clinical phases of HLH.

Coloration and Decoloration of Textiles Using a TiO2 Composite Pigment

        Xiao Wang,Yunzhe Xie,Cheng Huang,Yongzhu Cui,Lihua Lyu,Yuping Zhao,Ju Wei 한국섬유공학회 2018 Fibers and polymers Vol.19 No.7

A colorable pigment was prepared by dye adsorption onto titanium dioxide and subsequent silane coating. The effects of pH value, dye concentration, and adsorption times on dye adsorption were discussed. Large adsorption capacity of an anionic dye was obtained at pH value of 2 and the adsorption process was well described by the Langmuir isotherm model. Good dyeability and color fastness of pigment dyed fabric were achieved in the normal life cycle under sunlight. The decoloration of pigment was realized through photocatalytic degradation of dye molecules by titanium dioxide under ultraviolet irradiation when reusing the pigment dyed textiles after disposal. The new absorption peaks in the FTIR spectrum at 2924.95 cm-1, 1714.91 cm-1, 1461.17 cm-1, and 1289 cm-1 verified silane modification. Silane modification improved fixation of dyes onto the pigment and immobilization of pigments onto substrates. The close attachment of silane coating layer to titanium dioxide was conducive to photodegradation of dye molecules in the pigment.

Drying kinetics and physicochemical properties of kumquat under hot air and air-impingement jet dryings

        Si Tan,Yu Wang,Wenwen Fu,Yuping Luo,Shan Cheng,Wenfeng Li 한국식품과학회 2022 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.31 No.6

Kumquat is famous for its unique flavor and nutritional value. In this study, the drying kinetics, moisture effective diffusivity, phytochemical properties, and antioxidant capacities of kumquat dried by hot air drying (HAD) and air-impingement jet drying (AIJD) were comparatively investigated. The results showed that drying rate, moisture effective diffusivity, and nutrient retention under AIJD were better than those under HAD. Fourteen polyphenols were identified by UPLC-QqQ-MS/MS in kumquat slices. The content of limonoid was significantly increased after AIJD. It was also found that high temperature contributed to a higher drying rate. However, most of the polyphenol components decreased at high drying temperatures. Accordingly, AIJD 60 °C was regarded as the optimum condition for kumquat drying. This work contributed to a better understanding of the drying character of kumquat under AIJD and showed the bioactive compounds and antioxidant activities are affected by drying methods.
