A threshold voltage tunable circuit structure that can be operated with a very low power supply is presented. Use of floating gate MOS transistors as the basic circuit element makes it possible to obtain a very low voltage circuit because of the threshold voltage adjustability of the floating gate transistors. Good matching can also be achieved by tuning the threshold voltages. A two-step threshold voltage tuning scheme is presented. Due to the long term charge retention property of the floating gate transistors, the threshold voltage tuning does not have to be done frequently, and thus, near continuous-time operation can be achieved.
센서 네트워크를 이용한 교량 실시간관리를 위한 미들웨어 연구

센서 네트워크를 이용하여 교량을 실시간으로 관리하기 위하여 미들웨어를 사용한다. 그러나 현재 미들웨어는 단순히 센서 네트워크에서 수집한 자료를 처리하는 단순한 수준에 불과하다. 본 논문에서 실시간으로 센서로부터의 정보를 수집/가공하고 센서 노드들과 전용 애플리케이션 및 웹 브라우저 간의 중재 역할을 하는 미들웨어를 제안한다. 또 데이터베이스 고장이 발생하였을 경우 파일로 수집정보를 저장 하며 데이터베이스가 복구되었을 때 데이터베이스 부하를 줄이기 위하여 데이터베이스의 사용률이 적을 때 파일로 수집된 정보를 데이터베이스에 저장하는 기능을 제안한다. 그리고 실시간으로 교량 정보등을 감시하여 이상이 발생하였을 때 경고 메시지를 발생시켜 관리자가 교량의 비정상적인 상태에 대하여 빠르고 쉽게 인지할 수 있는 메커니즘을 제안한다.
Deep Learning-based Target Masking Scheme for Understanding Meaning of Newly Coined Words

최근 대량의 텍스트 분석을 위해 딥 러닝(Deep Learning)을 활용하는 연구들이 활발히 수행되고 있으며, 특히 대량의 텍스트에 대한 학습 결과를 특정 도메인 텍스트의 분석에 적용하는 사전 학습 언어 모델(Pre-trained Language Model)이 주목받고 있다. 다양한 사전 학습 언어 모델 중 BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) 기반 모델이 가장 널리 활용되고 있으며, 최근에는 BERT의 MLM(Masked Language Model)을 활용한 추가 사전 학습(Further Pre-training)을 통해 분석 성능을 향상시키기 위한 방안이 모색되고 있다. 하지만 전통적인 MLM 방식은 신조어와 같이 새로운 단어가 포함된 문장의 의미를 충분히 명확하게 파악하기 어렵다는 한계를 갖는다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존의 MLM을 보완하여 신조어에 대해서만 집중적으로 마스킹을 수행하는 신조어 표적 마스킹(NTM: Newly Coined Words Target Masking)을 새롭게 제안한다. 제안 방법론을 적용하여 포털 ‘N’사의 영화 리뷰 약 70만 건을 분석한 결과, 제안하는 신조어 표적 마스킹이 기존의 무작위 마스킹에 비해 감성 분석의 정확도 측면에서 우수한 성능을 보였다. Recently, studies using deep learning to analyze a large amount of text are being actively conducted. In particular, a pre-trained language model that applies the learning results of a large amount of text to the analysis of a specific domain text is attracting attention. Among various pre-trained language models, BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers)-based model is the most widely used. Recently, research to improve the performance of analysis is being conducted through further pre-training using BERT"s MLM(Masked Language Model). However, the traditional MLM has difficulties in clearly understands the meaning of sentences containing new words such as newly coined words. Therefore, in this study, we newly propose NTM(Newly coined words Target Masking), which performs masking only on new words. As a result of analyzing about 700,000 movie reviews of portal "N" by applying the proposed methodology, it was confirmed that the proposed NTM showed superior performance in terms of accuracy of sensitivity analysis compared to the existing random masking.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether or not GNB3 C825T gene polymorphism was associated with abdominal obesity and obesity-related metabolic syndrome markers in Korean women (N=l04) and whether or not GNB3 C825T gene polymorphism would modulate obesity and its metabolic syndrome markers' responses to 12 weeks of dance sports program in the same study population. The following results were found in this study: 1) at the baseline measurements, the GNB3 genotype was not significantly associated with any of the measured variables; 2) the GNB3 genotype was a significant modulator in determining some of the responses of the metabolic syndrome markers (i.e, cardiorespiratory fitness, TG, insulin and HOMAIR) to 12 weeks of dance sports programs; and 3) the GNB3 genotype didn't modulate blood pressures responses to 12 weeks of dance sports program. In conclusion, the current findings of the study suggest that GNB3 C825T gene polymorphism can partially be a genetic modulator of obesity and modulate related metabolic syndrome markers' responses to exercise training in this study population.

Oxy-coal combustion is one of the key technologies for CO2 capture in coal power plants. In this study, flame stability of an oxy-puverized coal flame was investigated in two burners: a 300 ㎾ pulverized coal burner in KITECH and a 1 ㎿MW pulverized coal burner in KEPRI. Flame attachment characteristics were observed visually for air and oxy-fuel conditions, and effect of various ratios of primary and secondary oxidants was also investigated. We found that the operating conditions of oxy-PC flame should be determined more carefully than those of air-PC flame, observing characteristics of the flame attachment in various conditions. Based on the information, stable flame could be achieved for various oxygen concentrations in the oxdizer stream. However, more investigation should be performed for design of a real-scale oxy-PC burner.
Concurrent NBTI and Hot-Carrier Degradation in p-Channel MuGFETs

<P>The experimental investigations on the concurrent negative-bias temperature instability (NBTI) and hot-carrier (HC) degradation in p-channel MuGFETs have been performed with different side-surface orientations and fin widths. The observed result of the enhanced HC degradation at elevated temperature is due to the interaction between NBTI and HC degradations. The enhanced concurrent effects for 0° rotated fin body, which has (100) of top surface and (110) of side surface, could be explained by NBTI induced HC degradation. The enhanced concurrent effects with an increase of fin width could be explained by self-heating-induced the enhanced NBTI degradation.</P>
Device Characterization and Design Guideline of Amorphous InGaZnO Junctionless Thin-Film Transistor

<P>Amorphous InGaZnO junctionless thin-film transistors (a-IGZO JL-TFTs) with different active layer thicknesses and thermal treatments were fabricated. The unique feature of a-IGZO JL-TFTs is that all of the active layer and source/drain (S/D) electrodes are realized by the deposition of the InGaZnO thin film. A quantitative analysis to completely deplete the active layer when the device is turned OFF has been performed according to the active layer thickness. The impact of active layer thickness and thermal treatment on the performance of a-IGZO JL-TFTs has been investigated. With the increase in active layer thickness and annealing temperature, the transfer curves shifted to the negative direction. From the effects of S/D series resistance on the performance of a-IGZO JL-TFTs, the series resistance cannot be a serious problem when the contact size is small enough and the active layer is thick enough. To completely deplete the active layer, the impacts of the key device design parameters such as gate oxide thickness, gate workfunction, and high-kappa dielectrics on the device performance have been investigated using device simulation.</P>

In this paper, a full-wave rectifier (FWR) with a simple vibration detector is presented for vibrational energy harvesting systems. Conventional output-powered active FWRs consume power from the harvested energy even when the system is not harvesting any energy. To overcome the problem, a technique using a simple vibration detector consisting of a peak detector and a level converter is proposed. The vibration detector detects whether vibrational energy exists in the input terminal and disables the FWR when there is no vibrational energy. The proposed FWR with the vibration detector is designed using a 0.35-μm CMOS process. The measurement results show that the proposed FWR rectifies input signals with amplitudes in the range of 1.4-3.3 V with a maximum power efficiency of 97% and voltage efficiency over 99%. The rectifier can operate with input signals in the frequency range of 5 Hz-10 kHz. Compared with the rectifier without the vibration detector, a decrease in leakage current by approximately 20 times can be achieved by using the proposed vibration detector. The proposed rectifier does not require any off-chip components to enable full chip integration, and the die area of the proposed circuit is 338 μm × 460 μm without pads.
