Characteristics of Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance of Nanostructured Au Patterns for Biosensing

<P>Periodic arrays of pseudotetrahedal-shaped gold nanoparticles were fabricated using nanosphere lithography (NSL) and examined for localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). The dependence of the LSPR on particle size of the periodic gold nanostructures was explored for potential application as a new biosensor. With increasing size and height of the Au nanoparticles, the absorption peak of the LSPR shifts to the longer wavelength and becomes relatively sharper. With thinner metal deposition or finer Au nanostructure, the absorption signal varies more sensitively for the changes in the Au particle size. The binding affinity study for biotin-streptavidine system on the Au nanopatterns resulted in blue-shifted absorption signal, opening up the possibility of the nanostructured Au pattern as a new LSPR biosensor.</P>

Gelatin from yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) dorsal skin was optimized for adhesive strength to plywood using surface response methodology of a central composite design with a dependent variable of adhesive strength (Y, kgf/cm2) and two independent variables of gelatin concentration (X1, %) and hardening time (X2, hrs). From the above design, a maximum adhesive strength of 49.84 kgf/cm2 was obtained under the optimal treatment condition of 15.85% gelatin concentration and 25.68 hr hardening time. The adhesive strength under optimum conditions was 50.93 kgf/cm2. The adhesive strength of the tuna gelatin was shown to be superior to that of bovine and porcine gelatins which had adhesive strengths of 34.75 and 34.9 kgf/cm2, respectively

This thesis is reseach object to verify rational and systematical expression through visual perception of our enterprise symbol type. The sphere of research is based on diagram trademark registered in Patent Attorney`s Office Korean. The method of classification is analyzed into expression through visual perception. It is applied of the times and each types of industry that the classification by expression. Acceding to the analysis of symbol expression type, flowing conclusion was discoverd: First, the methods of expression through visual perception were introduced negative into mould of typical diagram 1950`s. We knew symbol was made of varied type in the second half of 1980`s. Second, we found ability of amusements in the symbol type. According to the experiment result, they felt friendship that expression can recognize in many meaning from one type. And they reply that it is impressive and interesting. Synthetically speaking, the expression of symbol is changing over. By reviewing its possibility of the formative element on the basis of figure and ground relationship expressed on the symbol, it is my wish to be of any help to the more scientific and effective study.
