Wide band gap p-type hydrogenated amorphous silicon oxide (a-SiO:H) buffer layer has been used at the interface of transparent conductive oxide (TCO) and hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) p-type layer of a p-i-n type a-Si:H solar cell. Introduction of 5 nm thick buffer layer improves in blue response of the cell along with 0.5% enhancement of photovoltaic conversion efficiency (η). The cells with buffer layer show higher open circuit voltage (Voc), fill factor (FF), short circuit current density (Jsc) and improved blue response with respect to the cell without buffer layer.

<P>This study investigates the effect of hydrogen gas ratio [H-2/H-2+Ar] had on the structural, optical and electrical properties of ITO films for use in amorphous/crystalline silicon hetero-junction solar cells. The pulsed DC magnetron sputtered ITO films showed a higher optical transmittance for a hydrogen gas ratio of 3.2%. The lowest sheet resistance (43.12 Omega/square) and resistivity (3.25x10(-4) Omega.cm) were observed for ITO films where the hydrogen gas ratio was in the range from 1.31 to 3.22%. The Hall mobility of the ITO films decreased from 55.3 to 42.5 cm(2)/V.s with an increase in the hydrogen gas ratio from 1.31 to 3.2%. The surface morphology and crystallinity of films improved for the low hydrogen gas ratio while the characteristics of the ITO films deteriorated when the hydrogen ratio was higher than 3.2%. Then, we fabricated amorphous/crystalline silicon hetero-junction solar cells using ITO films for the front anti-reflection layer, and a hydrogen gas ratio of 3.22% resulted in a short circuit current density (J(sc)) of 38.17 mA/cm(2) and an efficiency of 19.02%.</P>
Atomic-scale mechanism of grain boundary motion in graphene

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Grain boundaries (GBs) in graphene can migrate when irradiated by electron beams from a transmission electron microscope (TEM). Here, we present an <I>ab initio</I> study on the atomic scale-mechanism for motion of GB with misorientation angle of ∼30° in graphene. From total energy calculations and energy barrier calculations, we find that a Stone–Wales (SW)-type transformation can occur more easily near GBs than in pristine graphene due to a reduced energy barrier of 7.23eV; thus, this transformation is responsible for the motion of GBs. More interestingly, we find that a mismatch in the crystalline orientation at GBs can drive the evaporation of a carbon dimer by greatly reducing the corresponding overall energy barrier to 11.38eV. After evaporation of the carbon dimer, the GBs can be stabilized through a series of SW-type transformations that result in GB motion. The GB motion induced by evaporation of the dimer is in excellent agreement with recent TEM experiments. Our findings elucidate the mechanism for the dynamics of GBs during TEM experiments and enhance the controllability of GBs in graphene.</P>
공공주택 주민의 수요 특성을 고려한 커뮤니티 프로그램 계획 방안 연구

아파트 중심 주거문화의 한계를 극복하기 위해 이웃관계 회복과 마을의 복원을 위한 커뮤니티 활성화가 주목을 받고 있다. 그러나 현대도시의 아파트 거주자들에게 공동체에 대한 자발적인 참여를 기대하는 것은 현실적으로 한계가 있으며 주민의 실제 요구를 파악함으로서 그들의 생활을 지원하고 입주자 입장에서 활용도가 높은 프로그램을 제공하는 노력이 선행되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 공공주택의 커뮤니티 활성화를 위해 주민 계층별로 커뮤니티 수요 특성을 파악하고 이를 통해 수요맞춤형 커뮤니티 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하는 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 연구결과로 공공주택의 커뮤니티 프로그램 개발을 위해 ‘주민화합’, ‘생활지원’, ‘능력개발’, ‘소득창출’, ‘공익실천’, ‘재능기부’의 6개 키워드를 도출하였으며 이를 토대로 커뮤니티 프로그램 개발 유형을 제시하였다. 사회소외계층이 거주자의 다수를 차지하는 공공주택의 특성을 고려할 때 커뮤니티 활성화를 주거복지 증진을 위한 방안으로 검토하여 종합적인 대책을 마련할 필요가 있으며 구체적인 프로그램을 개발하고 현장에 적용하기 위해서는 프로그램 적용 기준, 즉 공간 활용여건, 주민특성과 재원확보 등 운영, 관리 측면이 세심하게 고려되어야 할 것이다. It has been raised importance of the community activation base on town and neighborhoods relationship to solve the problem of apartment oriented dwelling culture. However it is not easy to induce self-directed community participation to apartment resident. Therefore it is demand to provide practical programs that resident can participate very easily, and support their life demand. This study will propose community program and management plan for public apartment designed by community’s specific demands. Six key words have found for developing community program of public housing resident; reconciliation of residents, life support, ability development, making money, promotion of public interests, talent donation. Considering character of the public housing that majority member of resident is neglected social group, it is necessary to find the comprehensive strategy should be evaluated as the part of housing welfare. Additionally, applicable criteria for the community program should be carefully considered within the framework of the condition of space utilization, community characteristics and management elements.
