      • Simulation Analysis on Hysteretic Performance of Cross-type Rigid Node for Steel Frame Based on Abaqus

        In order to study the cross-type rigid steel frame node hysteretic behavior of components, the axial compression ratio, H type steel column web thickness, girder section and stiffener as design parameters, 8 steel frame cross-type rigid joints and a T-type rigid joint are designed. Based on simplified mechanical model and constitutive relations of material, using ABAQUS software the corresponding finite element model is established and the hysteretic performance analysis is carried out. Through comparison between given T-type node test results and analysis results, both are in good agreement, thus the rationality of the finite element model established in this paper is verified. Simulation analysis of cross-type node is developed in further, load -displacement hysteretic curve of nodes, skeleton curve, envelope figure and the stress nephogram are extracted and comparative analysis is conducted, influence regularity of four parameters on the seismic behavior of the joints is obtained. The corresponding design suggestion for the axial compression ratio and column web and flange thickness ratio is proposed, design limit value of axial compression ratio of column should be taken as 0.5 and limit value of column web and flange thickness ratio is taken as 0.75,and these can provide reference for actual engineering design.

      • Fuzzy Fractional Order Sliding Mode Control for Automatic Clutch of Vehicle AMT

        The automatic clutch driving system of vehicle automated manual transmission (AMT) is a typical nonlinear system. A fast and accurate position control is difficult to achieve because of the nonlinearity of the load changes caused by the clutch diaphragm spring, the cushion spring, and other nonlinear components and because of the uncertainty of the load changes caused by the cushion spring deformation in the clutch engagement process at varying temperatures on the friction surface. In this paper, based on the theory of fractional calculus and traditional sliding mode control, the method of fuzzy fractional order sliding mode control (FFOSMC) is proposed for clutch control. By selecting the fractional order sliding surface, the laws of control are designed; and self-tuning of the switch gain is realized with the fuzzy controller. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation revealed that compared with the traditional fuzzy integer order sliding mode controller, FFOSMC achieves better dynamic performance in position control and better robustness against load disturbance and other uncertain factors.

        Incorporating additive manufacturing constraints into magneto-structural topology optimization

        The sequential using of topology optimization and AM (additive manufacturing) can generate and fabricate superior-performance yet lightweight magneto-structural components. In this paper, a magneto-structural topology optimization method is proposed considering AM constraints to improve the design manufacturability of optimized designs. The design problem is formulated with the weighted combination of magnetic compliance and mechanical compliance as a single objective subjected to two types of manufacturing constraints and the volume fraction constraint. Two important AM constraints are in a sequential manner incorporated into the topology optimization model, in which the overhang angle constraint is followed by the maximum length scale constraint. Corresponding sensitivities of the objective and constraints are derived, and the optimization problem is solved by the method of moving asymptotes. Two numerical examples and a practical conceptual design of linear motor rotor structure are systematically investigated to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

        Host Species as a Strong Determinant of the Intestinal Microbiota of Fish Larvae

        We investigated the influence of host species on intestinal microbiota by comparing the gut bacterial community structure of four cohabitating freshwater fish larvae, silver carp, grass carp, bighead carp, and blunt snout bream, using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) of the amplified 16S and 18S rRNA genes. Similarity clustering indicated that the intestinal microbiota derived from these four fish species could be divided into four groups based on 16S rRNA gene similarity, whereas the eukaryotic 18S rRNA genes showed no distinct groups. The water sample from the shared environment contained microbiota of an independent group as indicated by both 16S and 18S rRNA genes segments. The bacterial community structures were visualized using rank-abundance plots fitted with linear regression models. Results showed that the intestinal bacterial evenness was significantly different between species (P<0.05) and between species and the water sample (P<0.01). Thirty-five relatively dominant bands in DGGE patterns were sequenced and grouped into five major taxa: Proteobacteria (26), Actinobacteria (5), Bacteroidetes (1), Firmicutes (2), and Cyanobacterial (1). Six eukaryotes were detected by sequencing 18S rRNA genes segments. The present study suggests that the intestines of the four fish larvae, although reared in the same environment, contained distinct bacterial populations, while intestinal eukaryotic microorganisms were almost identical.

        Analyzing the Deformation of Multilayered Saturated Sandy Soils under Large Building Foundation

        The generalized plasticity theory has been subject of much research in geomechanics. The Pastor-Zienkiewicz model and its modified versions are among these. For large foundations resting on multilayered soils the actual loading is often non-linear. In this study we developed a new mathematical model which can apply non-linear loading using the subfield of planar mesh method. A sensitivity study was first performed to evaluate the contribution of deformation from various model parameters. It is found that the plastic modulus parameters only have marginal contributions. An engineering case study was used to valid the proposed model and it is evident from measured stresses that the loading of the foundation is non-linear. The deformations calculated by the proposed model agreed well with the monitored deformations. It is also found that the maximum deformation point is not necessarily in the centre of foundation and it does not coincide with the maximum loading point either. The distance between the maximum deformation point and the maximum loading point can be as far as 15.59 m for the bottom layer soil from this case. This research proves the necessity of using non-linear loading to calculate the foundation deformations for large foundations with multilayered saturated soils.

        Inhibition of MicroRNA-15a/16 Expression Alleviates Neuropathic Pain Development through Upregulation of G Protein-Coupled Receptor Kinase 2

        There is accumulating evidence that microRNAs are emerging as pivotal regulators in the development and progression of neuropathic pain. MicroRNA-15a/16 (miR-15a/16) have been reported to play an important role in various diseases and inflammation response processes. However, whether miR-15a/16 participates in the regulation of neuroinflammation and neuropathic pain development remains unknown. In this study, we established a mouse model of neuropathic pain by chronic constriction injury (CCI) of the sciatic nerves. Our results showed that both miR-15a and miR-16 expression was significantly upregulated in the spinal cord of CCI rats. Downregulation of the expression of miR-15a and miR-16 by intrathecal injection of a specific inhibitor significantly attenuated the mechanical allodynia and thermal hyperalgesia of CCI rats. Furthermore, inhibition of miR-15a and miR-16 downregulated the expression of interleukin-1β and tumor-necrosis factor-αin the spinal cord of CCI rats. Bioinformatic analysis predicted that G protein-coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2), an important regulator in neuropathic pain and inflammation, was a potential target gene of miR-15a and miR-16. Inhibition of miR-15a and miR-16 markedly increased the expression of GRK2 while downregulating the activation of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase and NF-κB in CCI rats. Notably, the silencing of GRK2 significantly reversed the inhibitory effects of miR-15a/16 inhibition in neuropathic pain. In conclusion, our results suggest that inhibition of miR-15a/16 expression alleviates neuropathic pain development by targeting GRK2. These findings provide novel insights into the molecular pathogenesis of neuropathic pain and suggest potential therapeutic targets for preventing neuropathic pain development.

        Robust Observer-based Sensor Fault Reconstruction for Discrete-time Systems via a Descriptor System Approach

        This paper addresses the problem of observer-based sensor fault reconstruction for discrete-time systems subject to external disturbances via a descriptor system approach. First, an augmented descriptor system is formulated by letting the sensor fault term be an auxiliary state vector; then a discrete-time descriptor state observer is constructed to achieve concurrent reconstructions of original system states and sensor faults. Sufficient and necessary conditions for the asymptotic stability of the proposed observer are explicitly provided. To broaden its application scope, less restrictive existence conditions are further discussed. Further, sufficient conditions for the robust stability of the proposed observer are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) that can be conveniently solved using LMI optimization techniques. After that, an extension of the proposed linear approach to discrete-time nonlinear systems with Lipschitz constraint is investigated. At last, two illustrative examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

        Under the background of Chengdu Chongqing double city economic circle, through the analysis of the current situation and problems of the ideological and political construction and development of Chengdu Chongqing universities, combined with the advantages of Sichuan and Chongqing universities, this paper seeks measures to improve the ideological and political construction and development of Chengdu Chongqing universities. It is found that the ideological and political construction and development of colleges and universities in Chengdu and Chongqing can be improved mainly by strengthening the ideological and political education model and reforming and innovating, integrating and optimizing relevant educational resources; Specific measures include integrating online media, strengthening practical teaching, optimizing teachers and improving infrastructure construction.
