        The Kinetics of Anodic Dissolution and Repassivation on 316L Stainless Steel in Borate Buffer Solution Studied by Abrading Electrode Technique

        The capacity of passive metal to repassivate after film damage determines the development of local corrosion and the resistance to corrosion failures. In this work, the repassivation kinetics of 316L stainless steel (316LSS) was investigated in borate buffer solution (pH 9. 1) using a novel abrading electrode technique. The repassivation kinetics was analyzed in terms of the current density flowing from freshly bare 316L SS surface as measured by a potentiostatic method. During the early phase of decay (t < 2 s), according to the Avrami kinetics-based film growth model, the transient current was separated into anodic dissolution (idiss) and film formation (ifilm) components and analyzed individually. The film reformation rate and thickness were compared according to applied potential. Anodic dissolution initially dominated the repassivation for a short time, and the amount of dissolution increased with increasing applied potential in the passive region. Film growth at higher potentials occurred more rapidly compared to at lower potentials. Increasing the applied potential from 0 VSCE to 0. 8 VSCE resulted in a thicker passive film (0. 12 to 0. 52 nm). If the oxide monolayer covered the entire bare surface (θ=1), the electric field strength through the thin passive film reached 1. 6 × 107 V/cm.

        In this article, we deal with the uniqueness problems of meromorphic functions concerning differential polynomials and prove the following theorem. Let f and g be two nonconstant meromorphic functions, n ≥ 12 a positive integer. If f<sup>n</sup>(f<sup>3</sup> - 1)f′ and g<sup>n</sup>(g<sup>3</sup> - 1)g′ share (1, 2), f and g share ∞ IM, then f ≡ g. The results in this paper improve and generalize the results given by Meng (C. Meng, Uniqueness theorems for differential polynomials concerning fixed-point, Kyungpook Math. J. 48(2008), 25-35), I.         In this article, we deal with the uniqueness problems of meromorphic functions concerning differential polynomials and prove the following theorem.         A Novel Cross Channel Self-Attention based Approach for Facial Attribute Editing

        Although significant progress has been made in synthesizing visually realistic face images by Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), there still lacks effective approaches to provide fine-grained control over the generation process for semantic facial attribute editing. In this work, we propose a novel cross channel self-attention based generative adversarial network (CCA-GAN), which weights the importance of multiple channels of features and archives pixel-level feature alignment and conversion, to reduce the impact on irrelevant attributes while editing the target attributes. Evaluation results show that CCA-GAN outperforms state-of-the-art models on the CelebA dataset, reducing Fréchet Inception Distance (FID) and Kernel Inception Distance (KID) by 15~28% and 25~100%, respectively. Furthermore, visualization of generated samples confirms the effect of disentanglement of the proposed model.

        Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of Flower-like and Plate-like CuO Nanopowder and Their Photocatalytic Activity for Polluted Lake Water

        Flower-like and plate-like CuO nanopowder has been successfully synthesized using a facile microwave-assisted synthetic route. The morphology and size of the final products strongly depended on microwave power. The phase, structures and morphologies of the as-prepared products were investigated in detail by BET surface area analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In addition, the chemical oxygen demand of polluted lake water was employed for characterization of these new photocatalysts. The results showed correlations between the morphology of CuO micro-crystals and their catalytic properties.

        Polyhexamethylene Biguanide Functionalized Hyperbranched Polymers Enhance Their Antimicrobial Activities

        Hyperbranched antibacterials show much more potential performances than their small molecules due to unique structure. Polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) functionalized hyperbranched poly(amide-PHMB)s (DPBs) were prepared and their antibacterial properties were investigated using several techniques. The results showed that Gram-positive organisms were more susceptible than Gram-negative bacteria for DPBs, N¹, N³, N<SUP>5</SUP>-tris(2-aminoethyl)benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxamide (DT) and PHMB. DPBs had better comprehensive properties than DT and PHMB, and the best one was DPB1. SEM and AFM were utilized to investigate the interactions between DPB1 and bacterial membranes of E. coli. The mode of action of DPB1 was revealed by the morphological images, which was consistent with bactericidal mechanism of cationic antibacterial agents.

        Remarkable impact of steam temperature on ginsenosides transformation from fresh ginseng to red ginseng

        Background: Temperature is an essential condition in red ginseng processing. The pharmacological activities of red ginseng under different steam temperatures are significantly different. Methods: In this study, an ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry was developed to distinguish the red ginseng products that were steamed at high and low temperatures. Multivariate statistical analyses such as principal component analysis and supervised orthogonal partial least squared discrimination analysis were used to determine the influential components of the different samples. Results: The results showed that different steamed red ginseng samples can be identified, and the characteristic components were 20-gluco-ginsenoside Rf, ginsenoside Re, ginsenoside Rg1, and malonyl-ginsenoside Rb1 in red ginseng steamed at low temperature. Meanwhile, the characteristic components in red ginseng steamed at high temperature were 20R-ginsenoside Rs3 and ginsenoside Rs4. Polar ginsenosides were abundant in red ginseng steamed at low temperature, whereas higher levels of less polar ginsenosides were detected in red ginseng steamed at high temperature. Conclusion: This study makes the first time that differences between red ginseng steamed under different temperatures and their ginsenosides transformation have been observed systematically at the chemistry level. The results suggested that the identified chemical markers can be used to illustrate the transformation of ginsenosides in red ginseng processing.

        Relationship between Immersion and Fun Perception of Leisure Sports Participants Leisure Attitude

        The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of leisure sports participants' leisure attitudes on immersion and fun perception. As of 2021, the subject of this study was set as a population of adult males and females aged 20 and over who participate in leisure sports in Gwangju and the South, and then the cluster random sampling method was used. A total of 300 people, 150 boys and 150 women, were collected. A questionnaire was used as a survey tool, and a questionnaire whose validity and reliability were recognized in previous studies was modified and secured according to this study. In addition, all questionnaires were constructed on a 5-point scale. The statistical analysis used for data analysis was frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Windows 21.0 Version. The conclusions obtained in this study through data analysis by such methods and procedures are as follows. First, it was found that leisure sports participants' leisure attitudes partially affect immersion. Second, leisure sports participants' leisure attitudes were found to have a partial effect on their perception of fun. Third, it was found that the immersion of leisure sports participants partially affects the perception of fun.

      • Expression of RECK and MMPs in Hepatoblastoma and Neuroblastoma and Comparative Analysis on the Tumor Metastasis

        Objective: To explore the expression of RECK and relevant matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in hepatoblastoma (HB) and neuroblastoma (NB) and their clinical significance in the tumor metastasis. Materials and Methods: Forty-five wax-stone samples of HB and 43 wax-stone samples of NB removed by surgical resection and confirmed by pathology in Linyi Yishui Central Hospital were selected. According to presence and absence of metastasis, both NB and HB samples were divided into metastatic group and non-metastatic group, namely NB metastatic group (n=28), NB non-metastatic group (n=15), HB metastatic group (n=15) and HB non-metastatic group (n=30). The expression of RECK, membrane type-1 matrix metalloproteinase (MT1-MMP) in HB tissue and RECK, MMP-14 in NB tissue was detected using immunohistochemical method, and the correlation between RECK and MT1-MMP, MMP-14 was analyzed. Results: The metastatic rate of NB was dramatically higher than that of HB, with statistical significance (P=0.003). The positive rate of RECK expression in NB group (30.2%) was slightly lower than in HB group (40.0%), but no significant difference was presented (P=0.338). The positive rate of MMPs expression in NB metastatic group was evidently higher than in HB metastatic group (P=0.024). The results of Spearman correlation analysis revealed that the expression of RECK in HB and NB tissues had a significantly-negative correlation with MT1-MMP and MMP-14, respectively (r=-0.499, P=0.012; r=-0.636, P=0.000). Conclusions: In HB and NB tissues, RECK is expressed lowly, while relevant MMPs highly, and RECK inhibits the tumor invasion and metastasis through negative regulation of relevant MMPs.
