In recent years, FinTech has become a new force in the financial industry. The development of FinTech is undoubtedly an improvement in both financial product and services. New technologies such as P2P finance, blockchain and mobile payment are gradually approaching daily life, and the increasing demand of users also test the innovation and competitiveness of FinTech companies. Innovation efficiency directly affects the development of finance and also affects economic development. Therefore, from the perspective of innovation efficiency and government supervision of China s FinTech, this paper analyzes the strategic choices among financial technology enterprises and governments by means of game theory model, and discusses the interaction between innovation efficiency of Chinese FinTech and government supervision. In summary, to improve the innovation efficiency of China s FinTech enterprises, we need to start from two aspects, one is the financial technology enterprise itself, and the other is the government. As the financial market is in a constantly changing environment, financial technology companies and governments should also change from time to time and make corresponding adjustments in a timely manner. Therefore, the level of China s financial technology innovation efficiency and regulatory issues are the core issues of China s financial technology development.
Frequency polygon estimation of density function for dependent samples
Xin Yang 한국통계학회 2015 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.44 No.4
The frequency polygon, which is a density estimator based on histogram technique, has the advantages of computational simplicity and is widely used in many fields. The purpose of this article is to further investigate the uniform strong consistency of frequency polygon under strong mixing samples. Our conclusions make the conditions on mixing coefficient and bin width are more simplified and weaker than those of Carbon et al. (1997).
Self-tuning PID Controller Designs for Multivariable Systems
Xin Yang,Yasuki Kansha,Min-Sen Chiu 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.8
In this paper, a self-tuning decentralized PID controller is developed to multivariable and nonlinear systems, using just-in-time learning (JITL) technique. From the online process data, JITL provides a set of linear models, by which the parameters of PID controllers are adjusted by a self-tuning algorithm derived from the Lyapunov method such that the predicted tracking error converges asymptotically. Simulation results illustrate the performances of the proposed self-tuning PID controller and a comparison with its conventional counterparts is made.
A Kinetic Energy Based Potential Field Method for the Local Obstacle Avoidance of Mobile Robots
Xin Yang,Keigo Watanabe,Kiyotaka Izumi,Kazuo Kiguchi 한국과학기술원 인간친화 복지 로봇 시스템 연구센터 2003 International Journal of Assistive Robotics and Me Vol.4 No.1
In this paper, a kinetic energy based potential field method (KEPFM) is proposed for the local obstacle avoidance of mobile robots. The magnitude of the artificial potential force is calculated by the kinetic energy of a robot relative to an obstacle or goal. Combining with a high-level path planner, this method makes the mobile robot be able to move in a dynamic environment and need not adjust any parameters related to the artificial potential force in a new environment, as required in the conventional potential field method (PFM). Two mobile robots cooperatively transporting a long object in a narrow space are introduced as an application of the KEPFM. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Opportunities of China’s Robo-advisor in the Context of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data
Xin YANG 한국유통과학회 2018 KODISA ICBE (International Conference on Business Vol.2018 No.-
The development of artificial intelligence and big data technology has spawned the emergence of robo-advisor. Although prospect of robo-advisor is promising, the development path will be more tortuous. This article analysed the development potential of robo-advisor in China and indicated the shortcomings and barriers by comparing China s largest intelligent investment platform- ‘Machine Gene Investment’ of China Merchant Bank-with the more mature robo-advisor platforms in the United States. It is concluded that robo-advisor has enormous opportunities in China is of no doubt; but to seize opportunities, the robo-advisor still depends on the improvement of capital market in China and the further advancement of artificial intelligent technology. Thanks to the rapid growth of China s wealth management sector, the future of robo-advisor market is promising, but also face some difficulties and challenges. The low-cost strategy of robo-advisor is not a remarkable advantage due to the undeveloped ETFs market in China. However, as the market of asset management products has gradually matured and diversified, and the degree of internationalization of China s financial market has gradually increased, the resolution of the lacking of the investment vehicles is only a matter of time.

Motor imagery classification in electroencephalography (EEG)-based brain-computer interface (BCI) systems is an important research area. To simplify the complexity of the classification, selected power bands and electrode channels have been widely used to extract and select features from raw EEG signals, but there is still a loss in classification accuracy in the state-of-the-art approaches. To solve this problem, we propose a discriminative feature extraction algorithm based on power bands with principle component analysis (PCA). First, the raw EEG signals from the motor cortex area were filtered using a bandpass filter with μ and β bands. This research considered the power bands within a 0.4 second epoch to select the optimal feature space region. Next, the total feature dimensions were reduced by PCA and transformed into a final feature vector set. The selected features were classified by applying a support vector machine (SVM). The proposed method was compared with a state-of-art power band feature and shown to improve classification accuracy.

In order to improve aerodynamic performance of multi-stage axial flow turbines used in aircraft engines, a one-dimensional aerodynamic design and optimization framework is constructed. In the method, flow path is generated by solving mass continuation and energy conservation with loss computed by the Craig & Cox model; Also real gas properties has been taken into consideration. To obtain an optimal result, a multi-objective genetic algorithm is used to optimize the efficiencies and determine values of various design variables; Final design can be selected from obtained Pareto optimal solution sets. A three-stage axial turbine is used to verify the effectiveness of the developed optimization framework, and designs are checked by three-dimensional CFD simulation. Results show that the aerodynamic performance of the optimized turbine has been significantly improved at design point, with the total-to-total efficiency increased by 1.17% and the total-to-static efficiency increased by 1.48%. As for the off-design performance, the optimized one is improved at all working points except those at small mass flow.

To minimize fluid leakage and flow induced force of traditional Labyrinth seals (LS), a new kind of Radial embedded seal (RES) ispresented. The structure and the sealing principle of the RES are analyzed. Compared with the traditional labyrinth seal, the fluid leakagedirection is altered from the axial to the radial direction. Special cavities are designed on seal disk to consider rotor axial shift under differentoperation conditions. By this new design, rotor vibration direction is perpendicular to seal clearance direction. Rotor to seal rub isavoided and seal clearance can be reduced to the minimum value. CFD Simulation results show that large vortexes and turbulence withthe enhanced flow resistance occur in the RES. In the simulation example, the mass flow rate of the RES is about 18% lower than that ofthe LS. Simulation results also show that the spiral flow along shaft axis, which is the main factor of flow induced force of LS, is cut offby the specially designed disk of RES. The tangential force of the RES is much smaller than that of LS, especially for high rotating speedcase. Besides, the tangential force of the RES is less sensitive to eccentricity. It is concluded that the RES is superior to LS consideringboth the leakage and flow induced force. For the safety operation of the seal, stress and deformation of the seal was calculated at differentconditions.
