      • Weak Connection Edges Independent Discriminant of Rapid Spanning Tree Recommendation of Social Network Community

        Aiming at the problem of low accuracy and high computational complexity of the traditional social network community recommendation algorithm, a rapid spanning tree detection algorithm is proposed to independently discriminate social network community with the weak connected edge, in order to improve the accuracy of community recommendation and reduce the complexity of algorithm. Firstly, according to the characteristics of social network community recommendation, the maximum spanning tree algorithm is proposed, which is based on the edge weight distribution node similarity, to realize the effective detection of social network community. Secondly, for the proposed algorithm having the problems of repeated adding and deleting of weakly connected edges and the waste of computing resources, a rapid spanning tree detection algorithm based on the independent discrimination of weakly connected edge is proposed so as to further improve the calculation efficiency of the algorithm. Lastly, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparing the experimental results in the standard test database.

        Centrifuge Model Tests and Numerical Simulations of the Landslide Evolution Process

        Centrifuge model tests and numerical simulations were performed to study the landslide evolution process and failure mechanism. A TLJ-500 geotechnical centrifuge was used for the experiments and landslide deformation and stress was monitored using high-precision differential displacement sensors and earth pressure micro-sensors. Discrete element numerical simulations were performed using PFC2D based on the experimental results. The findings show that the landslide evolution process can be divided into three stages: 1) compaction and consolidation; 2) uniform deformation; and 3) accelerated deformation and failure. The numerical simulation results verify the distinct stage characteristics of the landslide evolution process. According to the migration of microscopic soil mass particles within the landslide, stage 3) can be further divided into a deformation development stage and instability and failure stage. The simulation displacement monitoring curves and displacement map show distinct deformation characteristics and displacement indicators from stages 2) to 3) and from the deformation development stage to the instability and failure stage. The experimental and numerical results reveal the landslide failure mechanism: the upper part of the landslide thrusts and slides; the middle part squeezes; the lower part collapses; and shear plane penetration leads to landslide failure.

      • The Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Active Immunization against GnRH (Immuno-Castration): using Rat as a Model

        The present study was aimed to investigate the molecular mechanisms of active immunization against GnRH by focusing on effects of active immunization against GnRH on hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis. Adult male rats (n=36) were randomly and equally allocated into three groups: control (no treatment), surgically castrated, or immunized against 50 ug D-Lys6-GnRH-tandem-dimer peptide conjugated to ovalbumin in Specol adjuvant at 12 weeks of age (with a booster 8 weeks later). Blood samples (for antibody titers and hormone concentrations) were collected at 2-week intervals until rats were killed at 20 weeks of age. At decapitation, testes weight /volume and pituitary weight were recorded. Hypothalamus, pituitary and testis were collected to detect the mRNA expressions of reproduction-related genes with real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR, and the hypothalamus and testes were excised for tissue GnRH detection and morphological observation, respectively. Compared to intact controls, immunocastration reduced (p<0.05) serum concentrations of testosterone, LH and FSH, and the GnRH content in the median eminence, reduced the weight of the hypohysis (p<0.01), and induced testicular atrophy (suppression of spermatogenesis). Furthermore, mRNA expression of GnRH in the hypothalamus, GnRH receptor, LH-β and FSH-β in the pituitary, LH receptor and FSH receptor in the testes, and genes in sex steroid feedback loops (androgen receptor (AR), kisspeptin encoded gene (Kiss-1) and kisspeptin receptor (GPR54) in the hypothalamus were decreased in immunocastrated rats compared to intact controls (p<0.05). Similarly, surgical castration reduced GnRH in the median eminence as well as mRNA expression of GnRH, AR, Kiss-1 and GPR54 in the hypothalamus (p<0.05). These results suggest that active immunization against GnRH reduces GnRH synthesis in the hypothalamus by decreasing androgen-androgen receptor-Kisspeptin-GPR54 signaling pathways and causes dysfunction of the pituitarytesticular axis. Both the loss of GnRH synthesis and dysfunction of the pituitary- testicular axis seem to be mechanisms underlying immunocastration.

        The precaution and treatment for cancer become inevitable with the rising of morbidity and mortality. In this article, a promising new methodology for cancer treatment, sono-dynamic therapy (SDT) was introduced. In addition, we extensively reviewed the molec-ular mechanisms of SDT killing cancer and summarized the classification of sonosensi-tizers. At the same time, research progress of SDT indicates that it is possible to become a developing field for cancer treatment in clinical application.

        예교의 현대 부흥

        “禮”에는 좁은 의미와 넓은 의미가 있다. 좁은 의미의 “예”는 禮儀를 가리켜서, 좁은 의미의 “禮敎”는 예의의 전승과 실천으로 “樂敎”와 함께 제시된다. 넓은 의미의 “예”는 禮樂을 가리켜서, 넓은 의미의 “禮敎”는 예악의 교육·교화를 가리킨다. 예교는 예악으로 사람에게 교육과 교화를 행하는 것이다. 중국 고대에는 六藝를 통한 교육이 있었는데, 예교는 그 중 하나이면서 가장 중요한 것이었다. 예교는 인간이 동물 세계와 구분됨을 자각하고 “남녀 간의 구별[別]”과 “겸양[讓]”을 깨달아 문명의 길로 나아가게 한다. 예교는 행위규범의 구축을 통해서 사회공공질서를 확립하고, 사회 각 방면에 대한 정합작용을 한다. 예교는 사회 기본 윤리를 유지하여 父子有親·君臣有義·夫婦有別·長幼有序·朋友有信이 실행되게 하고, 인간들이 인애·효경·겸양·도의를 깨닫도록 교화하여 각종 인륜관계가 잘 처리되게 한다. 예교는 오랜 역사 발전 과정 속에서 타자화[異化]를 당하기도 했다. 신문화운동 때 맹렬한 비판을 당했고 “문화대혁명”에 이르러서는 모든 예의가 제거되어, 중국인이 기본적인 문명의 禮貌를 결여하게 만들었다. 오늘날 예교의 현대적 부흥에는 윤리질서의 새로운 수립, 도덕정신의 재건, 문명적 소양의 고양, 생활수준의 제고, 사회풍조의 변혁, 미풍양속의 배양, 그리고 중화민족의 위대한 부흥인 “중국의 꿈” 실현을 견인할 것이 요구된다. "The LI" has a narrow sense and a broad sense, the narrow sense of the LI refers to the etiquette, the LI JIAO refers to the inheritance and the practice of etiquette, commonly mentioned with the music education by people. The broad sense of the LI refers to the rites and music. The broad sense of LI JIAO refers to the education and enlightenment of rites and music. The LI JIAO means use rites and music to cultivate people. There were six arts taught in ancient China and the LI JIAO is the most important one in those six arts. The LI JIAO make people apart from the animal kingdom and understand the "Difference" and the "comity", than make them embark on the road to civilization. The LI JIAO shaped people`s behavior through norms, established the social public order and played a role of integrated society in different aspects. People use the LI JIAO to maintain basic social ethics in order to make sure the parents and children were dear, leadership and subordinates were righteousness, husband and wife were different, older people and young people were sequential and friends had Integrity. The LI JIAO helped people to understand love, honor, respect, moral and how to deal with all sorts of human relations. The alienation occurred in the long historical development process of the LI JIAO. People criticized the LI JIAO so fiercely during the “new culture movement” that the "cultural revolution" swept away all the etiquette than cause the lack of basic civility of Chinese. During today`s modern renaissance of the LI JIAO, we have to rebuild the ethical order, reshape the moral spirit, enhance the literacy of the social civilization, improve the quality of life, change the general mood of society, foster a good social atmosphere, establish a harmonious society and promote the harmony of the world.

        Stress and strain behavior of cementitious composites with epoxy/urea-formaldehyde microcapsules under uniaxial tests

        The effects of different dosages of microcapsules, proportion of prepressing stress and curing days on the mechanicalproperties, pore structure and healing efficiency of the specimens were studied through uniaxial compression test and mercuryintrusion porosimetry (MIP) test. The results indicate that the uniaxial strength of the specimens decreased to a certain extentwith an increase of dosage of the microcapsules. Meanwhile, the pore structure parameters (pore volume; porosity; criticalpore size; capillary porosity), as well as the self-healing rate and recovery rate of the mechanical properties increased withincreasing the dosage of microcapsules. The microcapsules have a significant influence on the deformation characteristics ofthe specimens and may improve the brittleness characteristics and strengthen the ductility of the ordinary concrete.

        Overexpression of Chalcone Isomerase (CHI) Increases Resistance Against Phytophthora sojae in Soybean

        Chalcone isomerase (CHI) is a key enzyme ofthe flavonoid pathway that plays crucial roles in plant responsesto various pathogens. Our previous study using comparativetranscriptome analysis of soybean inoculated with or withoutPhytophthora sojae revealed Glyma.20G241500, a homologof CHI1A in Arabidopsis thaliana, to be induced by P.sojaein soybean. In the present study, we isolated the gene fromsoybean cultivar Nannong 10-1, designating it GmCHI1A. GmCHI1A transcripts were detected in soybean roots, stemsand leaves, with the highest levels in roots. Interestingly,GmCHI1A localizes to the cortical endoplasmic reticulum(ER). GmCHI1A was overexpressed in hairy roots to furtheruncover the roles of CHIs in soybean. Compared to emptyvector-expressing hairy roots (EV) infected with P. sojae,hairy roots overexpressing GmCHI1A (OE) exhibited decreasedP. sojae biomass accumulation, shortened the lesion lengthsand reduced zoospores germination. These results demonstratethat GmCHI1A plays positive roles in the response ofsoybean to P. sojae.

      • Risk Factors, Patterns, and Outcomes of Late Recurrence after Liver Resection for Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (Analysis of a Multicenter Cohort over 15 Years)

        Aims: Late recurrence (> 2 years) after liver resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is usually considered as multi-centric tumors or de novo cancer formation. We aimed to investigate risk factors, patterns and outcomes of late recurrence after HCC resection. Methods: From a multicenter database from 2001 to 2015, 734 patients who were alive and recurrence-free at 2 years after curative resection of initial HCC were enrolled into this retrospective study. Univariate and multivariate Cox-regression analysis were used to identify independent risk factors of late recurrence. Patterns, treatments and outcomes of late recurrence were investigated and analyzed. Results: During a median follow-up of 78.0 months after surgery, 303 patients (41.3%) developed late recurrence. Multivariate analysis revealed that cirrhosis, macroscopic vascular invasion, satellites, and tumor size > 5cm were independent risk factors of late recurrence. Among them, 273 (90.1%) were sole intrahepatic recurrence, 30 (9.9%) were concurrent intrahepatic and extrahepatic recurrence, and none of them was sole extrahepatic recurrence; 165 (54.4%) patients received curative treatments for recurrent HCC, including re-resection, transplantation and local ablation. Multivariate analysis showed regular postoperative surveillance and receiving curative treatments were two independent protective factors of prolonging survival for those patients with late recurrence. Conclusions: Late recurrence is correlated with cirrhosis and certain tumor-related characteristics of initial HCC. The patterns of late recurrence suggest that postoperative surveillance after 2 years of surgery could be adjusted and more targeted. Regular postoperative surveillance improves the probability to receive curative treatments again, yielding to better outcomes for patients with late recurrence.

        Over-expression of GmHAL3 modulates salt stresses tolerance in transgenic arabidopsis

        The halotolerance protein HAL3, also known as SIS2, is a yeast protein that regulates the cell cycle and tolerance to salt stress through inhibition of the Ppz1 type 1 protein phosphatase. Although the roles of HAL3 have been demonstrated during the growth, development, and stress adaptation of Arabidopsis thaliana and Nicotiana tabacum, the function of HAL3 in other plant species, including soybean (Glycine max), has not been elucidated. In this study, GmHAL3a and GmHAL3b were isolated from Glycine max, and their roles were analyzed. GmHAL3a and GmHAL3b transcripts were detected in the roots, stems, leaves and seeds, with higher levels in the roots, and were induced by sodium chloride (NaCl), lithium chloride (LiCl), sorbitol, cold and ABA treatment. Overexpression of GmHAL3a or GmHAL3b in Arabidopsis accelerated the onset of flowering and resulted in more vigorous seed germination and increased tolerance to NaCl, LiCl, and sorbitol stress in seedlings, compared with wild type (WT) and empty vector control (VC) plants. Transgenic Arabidopsis plants accumulated proline and eliminated superoxide radical (O2 −) in response to the stress. In addition, transcription levels of the stress-related genes RD22 and P5CS1 were substantially higher in transgenic Arabidopsis than in WT and VC plants. Taken together, the data indicate that GmHAL functions as a positive regulator of the response to salt, lithium cations and sorbitol stress.
