        외상성 골낭에 관한 연구

        박원길,고재경,김영진,오경란 大韓口腔顎顔面放射線學會 1997 Imaging Science in Dentistry Vol.27 No.2

Traumatic bone cyst is a pathologic cavity that is not lined with epithelium. It is, therefore, not a true cyst. It may be a normal variant rather than a disease process. The etiology of the condition is unknown. This condition is occurred widely ranging ages(2 to 75years), however, most are found during the second decade of life. Radiographically, this condition is radiolucent lesion with well-defined outline, scalloping of superior margins. Cyst enucleation and curettage is the treatment of choice. The authors compared and analyzed the clinicoradiologic features of the five cases of traumatic bone cyst, diagnosed at the Dental college hospital in Chosun University, Kwangju, Korea., The five cases wear shown the followed results; 1. 3cases occurred in second decade of life & no significant sex differences (M:F, 2:3) All cases occurred in mandible. 2. Two patients complained symptoms, but three cases had no symptom with encountering during routine examination. 3. In 3 of 5cases, teeth vitality existed except one tooth and no checking of teeth vitality in two cases. 4. All cases didn't have any accurate trauma history, but one case was in orthodontic treatment, another case was postextraction site area. 5. Radiologically, "scalloping appearance" were evident in all cases; in 3 cases, multilocular tendency & only one case seen intact mandibular canal image. 6. Histologically, all section showed bone trabeculae with blastic activity, 2 cases showed no epithelial lining, and other 2 cases were seen innflammatory cell infiltration in edematous tissue. 7. Surgical intervention (curettage) was that treatment of choi

        혈관종에 관한 연구

박원길,김영일 大韓口腔顎顔面 放射線學會 1994 Imaging Science in Dentistry Vol.24 No.1

Hemangioma is a common tumor characterized by the proliferation of blood vessels. Some authorities believe that this lesion is not a true neoplasm, but rather a developmental anomaly or harmatoma. This lesion may be present at any age, but most cases are present at birth or arise at an early age, and the central hemangioma of the jaw is uncommon. The usual radiographic appearance of a hemangioma may have one or more of the following characteristics: a soap-bubble or honey-comb effect with multiloculated cyst like lesions having a fine fibrillar framework visible within them. The roots of teeth may or may not show resorption. The authors have experienced a case of hemangioma, that occured in anterior mouth floor and Mn.symphysis area cured by means of surgical excision without dysfunction and facial disfigurement.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the facial asymmetry of the patients with the craniomandibular disorder. In this study, 50 patients, who have joint clicking and pain, mouth opening limitation, and 40 dental students, Chosun University, who did not posses any restoration and orthodontic treatment, joint clicking and pain, mouth opening limitation, were selected as the control group. Both the control group and the patient group were takened skull P-A, submento-vertex radiogram by standized methods. After that, the deviation and facial asymmetry were measured and analyzed. The results of the this study were as follows: 1. In the Skull P-A radiogram, the width difference of control group and patient group measured that the △Cg-Co-Cl: control group were 3.35㎜, patient group were 4.51㎜(P<0.05), the △Cg-Zy-Go: control group were 1.83㎜, patient group were 3.27㎜(P<0.001). 2. In the Skull P-A radiogram, the height difference of control group and patient group measured that the △Cg-Co-Cl: control group were 131.85㎜, patient group were 188.45㎜(P<0.05), the △Cg-Zy-Go: control group were 1.58㎜, patient group were 2.68㎜(P<0.001). 3. In the Skull P-A radiogram, the area difference of control group and patient group measured that the △Cg-Co-Cl: control group were 120.76m㎡, patient group were 185.49m㎡(P<0.05), the △Cg-Zy-Go: control group were 2.29m㎡, patient group were 3.37m㎡(P<0.05). 4. In the submento-vertex radiogram, the width difference of control group and patient group measured that the △Mr-Cl-Ia: control group were 1.50㎜, patient group were 2.35㎜(P<0.05), the △Mr-Cm-Ia: control group were 1.75㎜, patient group were 3.17㎜(P<0.05), the △Mr-Go-Ia: control group were 1.96㎜, patient group were 3.24㎜(P<0.001), the △Mr-Cp-Co: control group were 1.74㎜, patient group were 2.73㎜(P<0.05). 5.In the submento-vertex radiogram, the height difference of control group and patient group measured that the △Mr-Cp-Ia: control group were 1.68㎜, patient group were 2.46㎜(P<0.05), the △Mr-Cl-Ia: control group were 2.38㎜, patient group were 3.74㎜(P<0.05), the △Mr-Go-Ia: control group were 1.63㎜, patient group were 2.80㎜(P<0.05), the △Mr-Cm-Ia: control group were 1.63㎜, patient group were 2.80㎜(P<0.05), the △Mr-Cm-Ia: control group were 1.45㎜, patient group were 3.12㎜(P<0.001). 6.In the submento-vertex radiogram, the area difference of control group and patient group measured that the △Mr-Cp-Ia: control group were 73.17m㎡, patient group were 110.16m㎡(P<0.05), the △Mr-Cl-Ia: control group were 105.09m㎡, patient group were 180.87m㎡(P<0.001), the △Mr-Go-Ia: control group were 103.31m㎡, patient group were 148.48mm(P<0.05), the △Mr-Cm-Ia: control group were 97.01m㎡, patient group were 167.83 m㎡(P<0.05), the △Mr-Cm-Ia: control group were 104.24m㎡, patient group were 205.90m㎡(P<0.05).

하악골 골염도의 정량적 평가에 관한 비교연구

김재덕,최의환,박원길 大韓口腔顎顔面 放射線學會 1999 Imaging Science in Dentistry Vol.29 No.1

This study was performed to compare the bone mineral densities measured at mandibular premolar area by copper-equivalent image and hydroxyapatite phantom with those measured at radius by dual energy absorptiometry and to evaluate the clinical usefulness of Digital system with slide scanner, copper-equivalent image, and hydroxyapatite phantom. For experiment, intraoral radiograms of 15 normal subjects ranged from 20 years old to 67 old were taken with copper-step wedge at mandibular premolar area and bone mineral densities calculated by conversion equation to bone mineral density of hydroxyapatite were compared with those measured at radius distal 1/3 area by Hologic QDR-1000. Obtained results as follows: 1) The conversion equation was Y=5.97X-0.25 and its determination coefficient was 0.9967. The coefficient of variation in the measurement of copper-equivalent value ranged from 4% to 8% and showed high reproducibility. 2) The coefficient of variation in the measurement of bone mineral density by the equation ranged from 7% to 8% and showed high reproducibility. 3) The bone mineral densities ranged from 0.35 to 0.79g/cm2 at mandibular premolar area. 4) The correlation coefficient between bone mineral densities at mandibular premolar area and those at radius distal 1/3 area was 0.8965. As summary, digital image analyzing system using copper-equivalent image and hydroxyapatite phantom appeared to be clinically useful to measure the bone mineral density at dental area.(J Korean Oral Maxillofac Radiol 1999:29:161-173)
