Study of Base Segmenting Algorithm of Substation Equipment Based on 3D Point Cloud

        Pengshuai Wang,Pengshuai Wang,Weiying Guo 대한전기학회 2019 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.14 No.1

Segmenting affiliated facilities from the point cloud is the key of 3D identification of the equipment. This paper proposes a method to segment an equipment’s base from the equipment according to the change trend of the horizontally-projected areas of the layers formed by layering the equipment, thereby reducing the workload of manual segmentation of the base and improving the efficiency of intelligent identification of substation equipment. At the same time, the paper improves Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm by using ICP error to jump out early of the iteration process of ICP, to reduce the iteration steps and shorten the matching time. The experimental results show that the identification rate of substation equipment is greatly improved by the base segmenting algorithm. The improved ICP algorithm significantly shortens the identification time, and has little impact on the identification rate.

Circular RNA circ-4099 is induced by TNF-α and regulates ECM synthesis by blocking miR-616-5p inhibition of Sox9 in intervertebral disc degeneration

        Hua Wang,Peiheng He,Hehai Pan,Jun long,Jianru Wang,Zemin Li,Hui Liu,Weiying Jiang,Zhaomin Zheng 생화학분자생물학회 2018 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.50 No.-

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play important roles in the initiation and development of different diseases. Here, we detected their role in intervertebral disc (IVD) degeneration. An Arraystar human circular RNA microarray assay was used to detect circRNAs in normal and degenerated human IVD nucleus pulposus (NP) tissues. The role of circ-4099 in IVDD and its mechanism were evaluated by qRT-PCR and gain-of-function/loss-of-function studies. Interaction networks for competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), miRNAs, and miRNA target gene were detected by bioinformatics analysis, RNA immunoprecipitation and luciferase assay. Expression of seventy-two circRNAs were increased by more than twofold in degenerated NP tissues. qRT-PCR showed that the expression of circ-4099 in NP tissues was consistent with that of the array screening. Over-expression of circ-4099 increased the expression of Collagen II and Aggrecan and decreased the secretion of the pro-inflammatory factors IL-1β, TNF-α, and PGE2. TNF-α treatment increased circ-4099 expression in NP cells. NF-κB/MAPK inhibitors or shRNAs abolished the inductive effects of TNF-α on circ-4099 expression. We further demonstrated that circ-4099 was able to function as a “sponge” by competitively binding miR-616-5p, which reversed the suppression of Sox9 by miR-616-5p. We used DNA pull-down and spectrometry experiments to show that TNF-α can promote circ-4099 transcription through upregulation of GRP78. We provide the first evidence that shows circRNAs are differentially expressed in degenerated and normal NP tissues. Circ-4099 may play a role in a protective mechanism and be part of a compensatory response that maintains the synthesis and secretion of the extracellular matrix in NP cells and might be a protective factor in IVD degeneration as well as restore NP cell function.

Characteristics of selenium polysaccharide from sweet corncob and its effects on non‑enzymatic glycosylation in vivo

Wang Zhili,Wang Xin,Xiu Weiye,Ma Yongqiang 한국응용생명화학회 2022 Applied Biological Chemistry (Appl Biol Chem) Vol.65 No.1

Selenium polysaccharide is an organic selenium compound, which has attracted much attention because of its unique biological properties. In the current study, a new selenium polysaccharide (Se-SCP) was synthesised, and its structure and effects on non-enzymatic glycosylation in vivo were studied. The molecular weight of Se-SCP was 9.02 g/mol, and its molecule was mainly composed of Man, Gal, GluA, Ara, Glu, Fuc, Rha, GalA, and Xyl. Selenium was present both as C–O–Se and Se=O. Compared with non-selenised sweet corncob polysaccharide (SCP) treatment, the blood glucose level in mice decreased considerably after Se-SCP treatment. Additionally, it improved oral glucose tolerance (OGTT) and significantly reduced the production of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) (P < 0.05), compared with the model group. In addition, Se-SCP exhibited a positive effect on the morphology of the pancreas and liver. The current study elucidated the physiological and pharmacological effects of selenium polysaccharides and provided a basis for future studies on selenium polysaccharides.

Downlink Performance of Distributed Antenna Systems in MIMO Composite Fading Channel

( Weiye Xu ),( Qingyun Wang ),( Ying Wang ),( Binbin Wu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2014 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.8 No.10

In this paper, the capacity and BER performance of downlink distributed antenna systems (DAS) with transmit antenna selection and multiple receive antennas are investigated in MIMO composite channel, where path loss, Rayleigh fading and lognormal shadowing are all considered. Based on the performance analysis, using the probability density function (PDF) of the effective SNR and numerical integrations, tightly-approximate closed-form expressions of ergodic capacity and average BER of DAS are derived, respectively. These expressions have more accuracy than the existing expressions, and can match the simulation well. Besides, the outage capacity of DAS is also analyzed, and a tightly-approximate closed-form expression of outage capacity probability is derived. Moreover, a practical iterative algorithm based on Newton`s method for finding the outage capacity is proposed. To avoid iterative calculation, another approximate closed-form outage capacity is also derived by utilizing the Gaussian distribution approximation. With these theoretical expressions, the downlink capacity and BER performance of DAS can be effectively evaluated. Simulation results show that the theoretical analysis is valid, and consistent with the corresponding simulation.

Bioelectrochemical performance of microbial fuel cell powered electro-Fenton system (MFCⓅEFs) with composite PANI-Mn/CF anode

        Jiaqi Lv,Weiye Wang,Qingliang Zhao,Kun Wang 대한환경공학회 2023 Environmental Engineering Research Vol.28 No.4

Microbial fuel cell powered electro-Fenton system (MFCⓅEFs) is a self-sustainable energy conversion process to degrade refractory pollutants utilizing green biomass energy. Most previous works usually employed innovative cathode to minimize electron transfer losses but neglected the development of high-efficiency anode to enhance electron generation. The synergy of polyaniline (PANI) and MnO2 on electrode could improve charge accessibility and facilitate rapid electron transfer due to its superior conductivity and capacitance, which had not been applied to MFCⓅEFs as anode so far. In this study, a PANI-Mn/CF (carbon fiber loaded with polyaniline and MnO2) composite anode was introduced into MFCⓅEFs to enhance interface activity and realize more efficient electricity generation and pollutant degradation. Experimental results showed that a higher power density (5.49 times that of the original CF) and lower ohmic resistance (7.17 Ω) occurred in the MFCⓅEFs with PANI-Mn/CF anode, which consumed more sewage sludge (37.14% of TCOD removal), leading to achieving more effective pollutant degradation (93.03% of tetracycline hydrochloride removal). Overall, this study provided an innovative way of thinking and approach to efficient utilization of biomass waste and degradation of refractory pollutants with the merits of environmental sustainability.

Extraction of raspberry ketone from red raspberry and its intervention in the non‑alcoholic fatty liver disease

Ma Yongqiang,Xiu Weiye,Wang Xin,Yang Qiuhui 한국응용생명화학회 2022 Applied Biological Chemistry (Appl Biol Chem) Vol.65 No.6

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is characterized by diffused hepatocyte bullous fat in the liver, which is not caused by alcohol or drugs like amiodarone and tamoxifen. Presently, no drug is approved for NAFLD treatment. Therefore, it’s important to extract effective components from natural plants to alleviate NAFLD. In this study, we extracted and purified raspberry ketone, a natural phenolic compound from red raspberry ( Rubus ideaus L.) by an ultrasonic-assisted ethanol extraction method. The structure of red raspberry ketone (RRK) was determined using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and the purity of RRK was found as 80.06 ± 1.19%. After 28 days of intragastric administration of RRK, the bodyweight of NAFLD model rats decreased significantly (p < 0.05). Besides, the levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol, and total triglyceride (TG) decreased and the content of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in serum increased drastically. Moreover, the level of liver damage indicators (aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, and alkaline phosphatase) and the levels of glucose, insulin, free-fatty acid, tumor necrotic factor-α in the liver decreased distinctly. The levels of TG and malondialdehyde in the liver decreased, whereas the levels of superoxide dismutase, total glutathione, and glutathione peroxidase drastically increased. We also found that RRK reduced the uneven size of liver cells and blurred boundaries of hepatic lobules, and alleviated hepatic steatosis and inflammation caused by NAFLD. We inferred that RRK could relieve NAFLD progression by regulating glucose and lipid metabolism and alleviating oxidative stress in vivo. This study sheds new light on the use of RRK as a functional food for NAFLD prevention.

In vivo and in vitro evaluation of stability and antioxidant activity of lycopene-nanostructured lipid carriers

        Yongqiang Ma,Chenchen Li,Weiye Xiu,Xin Wang 한국식품과학회 2023 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.32 No.6

This study evaluates the stability of lycopene in the presence of the prepared nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) under different environments and food systems and the in vitro and in vivo antioxidant activity of the lycopene nanostructured lipid carriers (Lyco-NLCs) was studied. As observed in the stability experiment, Lyco-NLCs have good storage stability within 30 days. Food additives have little effect on its stability except for metal ions. Compared with free lycopene, Lyco-NLCs showed an improved antioxidant property. In in-vitro experiments, the DPPH radical scavenging rate, hydroxyl radical scavenging capacity, and ferric reducing capacity of Lyco-NLCs increased by 90.47%, 47.43%, and 45.12%, respectively. The animal experiments showed that the activities of catalase in the kidney, superoxide dismutase in the heart, and glutathione peroxidase in the liver increased by 31.48%, 42.50%, and 21.47%, respectively. The content of malondialdehyde in serum decreased by 14.13%. The results have some significance for the practical application of lycopene.

Development of fluorescent probes based on protection–deprotection of the key functional groups for biological imaging

        Tang, Yonghe,Lee, Dayoung,Wang, Jiaoliang,Li, Guanhan,Yu, Jinghua,Lin, Weiying,Yoon, Juyoung The Royal Society of Chemistry 2015 Chemical Society reviews Vol.44 No.15

<P>Recently, the strategy of protection-deprotection of functional groups has been widely employed to design fluorescent probes, as the protection-deprotection of functional groups often induces a marked change in electronic properties. Significant advances have been made in the development of analyte-responsive fluorescent probes based on the protection-deprotection strategy. In this tutorial review, we highlight the representative examples of small-molecule based fluorescent probes for bioimaging, which are operated via the protection-deprotection of key functional groups such as aldehyde, hydroxyl, and amino functional groups reported from 2010 to 2014. The discussion includes the general protection-deprotection methods for aldehyde, hydroxyl, or amino groups, as well as the design strategies, sensing mechanisms, and deprotection modes of the representative fluorescent imaging probes applied to bio-imaging.</P>
