      • Cloning of Phospholipase D from Grape Berry and Its Expression under Heat Acclimation

        Wan, Si-Bao,Wang, Wei,Wen, Peng-Fei,Chen, Jian-Ye,Kong, Wei-Fu,Pan, Qiu-Hong,Zhan, Ji-Cheng,Tian, Li,Liu, Hong-Tao,Huang, Wei-Dong Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biol 2007 Journal of biochemistry and molecular biology Vol.40 No.4

To investigate whether phospholipase D (PLD, EC 3.1.4.4) plays a role in adaptive response of post-harvest fruit to environment, a PLD gene was firstly cloned from grape berry (Vitis Vinifera L. cv. Chardonnay) using RT-PCR and 3'- and 5'-RACE. The deduced amino acid sequence (809 residues) showed 84.7% identity with that of PLD from Ricinus communis. The secondary structures of this protein showed the characteristic C2 domain and two active sites of a phospholipid-metabolizing enzyme. The PLD activity and its expression in response to heat acclimation were then assayed. The results indicated PLD was significantly activated at enzyme activity, as well as accumulation of PLD mRNA and synthesis of new PLD protein during the early of heat acclimation, primary suggesting that the grape berry PLD may be involved in the heat response in post-harvest grape berry. This work offers an important basis for further investigating the mechanism of post-harvest fruit adaptation to environmental stresses.

      • Software Defect Model Based on Similarity and Association Rule

Wan Jiang Han,He Yang Jiang,Tian Bo Lu,Xiao Yan Zhang,Weijian Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.7

In order to detect defects efficiently and improve the quality of products, this paper puts forward the concept about defect classification model and defect association model by a lot of defect data. The technology of similarity is applied to defect classification model, and the idea of Knowledge Discovery in Database is applied to defect association model. Defect classification model can analyze the defect efficiently and provides the basis of solving problems quickly while defect association model can be used to detect early and prevent problem, which can make effective improvements for testing and development. This paper summed up GUI defect model based on a large number of interface defects. The model is useful to improve the accuracy of forecast and be used for test planning and implementation through the practice of several projects.

        Co-precipitation synthesis and characterization of Bi3+, Eu3+ co-doped nanocrystal Gd2WO6 phosphors.

        Tian, Yue,Chen, Baojiu,Hua, Ruinian,Cheng, Lihong,Zhong, Haiyang,Sun, Jiashi,Wang, Bo,Wan, Jing,Lu, Weili,Jang, Kiwan American Scientific Publishers 2010 Journal of nanoscience and nanotechnology Vol.10 No.3

<P>Eu3+ single-doped and Bi3+/Eu3+ co-doped nanocrystal Gd2WO6 phosphors were successfully synthesized via a co-precipitation reaction. The structure and morphology of the phosphors were characterized by using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The influence of Bi(3+)-doping concentration on the excitation and emission spectra was studied. It was found that the introduction of Bi3+ can greatly affect the charge transfer band and the luminescence intensity of Eu3+ but does not cause a change in the profile of emission spectra of Eu3+.</P>

      • Aspartate Transaminase to Platelet Ratio Index (APRI) and Albumin-Bilirubin Grade (ALBI) Predict Postoperative Morbidity Following Hepatectomy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma A Multicenter Cohort Study

        ( Tian Yang ),( Li-yang Sun ),( Lei Liang ),( Ya-hao Zhou ),( Wei-min Gu ),( Hong Wang ),( Ting-hao Chen ),( Yong-yi Zeng ),( Wan Yee Lau ),( Meng-chao Wu ),( Feng Shen ) 대한간학회 2020 춘·추계 학술대회 (KASL) Vol.2020 No.1

Aims: Postoperative morbidity following hepatectomy remains high, and understanding its risk factors is important to improve perioperative outcomes. We aimed to identify the role of two non-invasive markers - albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) and aspartate transaminase to platelet ratio index (APRI) - in predicting postoperative morbidity following hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: A multicenter data of patients undergoing hepatectomy for HCC at 8 centers were retrospectively analyzed. These patients were divided into normal and high groups according to preoperative ALBI and APRI scores. ALBI and APRI’s predictive accuracy of postoperative 30-day overall and major morbidity were evaluated by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) and compared with two conventional scores: Child-Pugh grade and model for end-stage liver disease (MELD). Results: In 2,301 patients, 866 (37.6%) and 400 (17.4%) were in the high ALBI and APRI groups, respectively. There were significant differences of postoperative overall morbidity between the normal and high ALBI groups (26.2% vs. 40.1%, P<0.001), as well as between the normal and high APRI groups (29.2% vs. 42.4%, P<0.001). The AUCs of the ALBI and APRI scores for predicting overall morbidity are greater than those of Child- Pugh grade and MELD score. Multivariable analyses revealed that ALBI and APRI were independent predictors of overall morbidity in both preoperative and postoperative prediction models. Similar results existed in predicting postoperative major morbidity. Conclusions: Preoperative ALBI and APRI could predict postoperative 30-day overall and major morbidity following hepatectomy for HCC before or after surgery.

      • Risk Factors, Patterns and Long-Term Prognosis of Early and Late Recurrence in Patients with Hepatitis B Virus-Associated Hepatocellular Carcinoma

        ( Tian Yang ),( Ming-da Wang ),( Chao Li ),( Lei Liang ),( Hao Xing ),( Li-yang Sun ),( Bing Quan ),( Han Wu ),( Xin-fei Xu ),( Timothy M ),( Pawlik ),( Wan Yee Lau ),( Feng Shen ) 대한간학회 2020 춘·추계 학술대회 (KASL) Vol.2020 No.1

Aims: Survival after liver resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains poor due to a high incidence of recurrence. We sought to investigate risk factors, patterns, and long-term prognosis among patients with early and late recurrence after liver resection for hepatitis B virus (HBV)-associated HCC. Methods: Data of consecutive patients undergoing curative resection for HBV-associated HCC were analyzed. According to the time to recurrence after surgery, recurrence was divided into early (≤ 2 years) and late recurrence (> 2 years). Characteristics, patterns of initial recurrence and post-recurrence survival (PRS) were compared between patients with early and late recurrence. Risk factors of early and late recurrence, and predictors of PRS were identified by univariable and multivariable Cox-regression analyses. Results: mong 894 patients, 322 (36.0%) and 282 (31.5%) developed early and late recurrence, respectively. On multivariable analyses preoperative HBV-DNA>104 copies/ml was associated with both early and late recurrence, while postoperative no/ irregular antiviral therapy was associated with late recurrence. Compared with patients with late recurrence, patients with early recurrence had a lower proportion of intrahepatic only recurrence (72.0% vs. 91.1%, P<0.001), as well as a lower chance of receiving potentially-curative treatments for recurrence (33.9% vs. 50.7%, P<0.001) and a worse median PRS (19.1 vs. 37.5 months, P<0.001). Multivariable analysis demonstrated that early recurrence was independently associated with worse PRS (HR 1.361, 95%CI 1.094-1.692, P=0.006). Conclusions: Although risk factors associated with early recurrence and late recurrence were different, a high preoperative HBV-DNA load was an independent hepatitis-related risk for both early and late recurrence. Early recurrence was associated with

      • Output Feedback Control for Local Power System Stability based on Sum of Square Programming

Yong Wan,Hongxing Tian 제어로봇시스템학회 2017 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2017 No.10

This paper studies local power system stability by proposing a sum of square (SOS)-based iterative algorithm which achieves both the Lyapunov function construction and the output feedback control design. This algorithm does not contain any linearization process and the original trigonometric nonlinearities are preserved. Further, only measurable relative speed is needed to design excitation controller. Simulation result verifies the effectiveness of the designed controller.

      • Trends in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Mortality in China, 1973-2005

        Huang, Tian-Ren,Zhang, Si-Wei,Chen, Wan-Qing,Deng, Wei,Zhang, Chun-Yan,Zhou, Xin-Juan,Zhai, Ri-Hong Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.6

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a disease with distinct ethnic and geographic distribution. The incidence of NPC in Chinese residing in Asia has declined over the last few decades, but NPC mortality trends in the entire Chinese population over time have not been systematically evaluated. In this study, we examined NPC mortality at the national level in China between 1973-2005. Mortality rates were derived from the databases of national retrospective surveys on cancer mortality conducted in the periods of 1973-1975, 1990-1992, and 2004-2005, respectively. NPC was classified according to the International classification of diseases. Age-adjusted mortality rates were calculated by direct standardization according to the world standard population. Trends in rates were evaluated by age, gender, geographic areas, and socioeconomic status. From 1973 to 2005, there was a general trend of decrease in NPC mortality in China, with higher rates in the south on a downward trend in the north. The age-standardized NPC mortality rates were 2.60 per 100,000 in 1973-1975, 1.94 per 100,000 in 1990-1992, and 1.30 per 100,000 in 2004-2005, respectively. The trend was similar in both men and women, in both urban and rural areas, but the declining rates in females were more remarkable than in males. The mortality rates were higher for the age groups above 50 years than those less than 50 years of age, both showing downward trend over 30-year period. In summary, the overall NPC mortality has consistently decreased in China over the past three decades, particularly in women and in old adults.

ZnO/Cu2O-decorated rGO: Heterojunction photoelectrode with improved solar water splitting performance

        Hou, Tian-Feng,Shanmugasundaram, Arunkumar,Hassan, Mostafa Afifi,Johar, Muhammad Ali,Ryu, Sang-Wan,Lee, Dong-Weon Pergamon Press 2019 International journal of hydrogen energy Vol.44 No.35

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In present work, we report a facile fabrication process to improve the photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance of ZnO-based photoelectrodes. In order to achieve that, the Cu2O nanocubes are cathodic-deposited on the as-prepared ZnO nanorods. Then rGO nanosheets are electrodeposited on the ZnO/Cu2O heterostructures. The fabricated photoelectrodes are systematically studied in detail by different characterization techniques such as powder X-ray diffraction, micro-Raman, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ultraviolet diffused reflectance spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy analysis. Morphologies of the fabricated photoelectrodes are investigated through electron microscopy in scanning and transmission mode. To evaluate the PEC performance of the fabricated photoelectrodes, the line scan voltammetry (LSV) measurement is performed using a three-electrode system in 0.5-M Na2SO4 electrolyte solution under stimulated light illumination at 100 mW/cm2 from a 300-W Xenon Arc lamp coupled with an AM 1.5G filter using a three-electrode system. The photocurrent measurement demonstrates that the photoelectrodes based on ZnO/Cu2O/rGO possess enhanced PEC performance compared to the pristine ZnO and ZnO/Cu2O photoelectrodes. The photocurrent density of ZnO/Cu2O/rGO-15 photoelectrode (10.11 mA/cm2) is ∼9 and ∼3 times higher than the photoelectrodes based on pristine ZnO (1.06 mA/cm2) and ZnO/Cu2O (3.22 mA/cm2). The enhanced PEC performance of ZnO/Cu2O/rGO photoelectrode is attributed to the excellent light absorption properties of Cu2O and excellent catalytic and charge transport properties of rGO. In‑Situ Observation of Martensitic Transformation in a Fe–C–Mn–Si Bainitic Steel During Austempering

        Junyu Tian,Guang Xu,Zhengyi Jiang,Haijiang Hu,Qing Yuan,Xiangliang Wan 대한금속·재료학회 2020 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.26 No.7

The martensitic transformation in a Fe–C–Mn–Si bainitic steel was examined by in situ high-temperature laser scanningconfocal microscopy (LSCM) and dilatometry. The phenomenon of continuous martensitic transformation during austemperingwas firstly dynamically observed by LSCM. Differing from the commonly accepted viewpoint on martensite formationin bainitic steels, the martensitic transformation in the conventional medium-carbon bainitic steel was not instantaneous andproceeded gradually when the sample was austempered below martensite starting temperature (MS). It can be attributed tothe generation of internal stresses, thermal activation, stimulating nucleation, and the segregation of Mn. In addition, apartfrom the continuous martensitic transformation, the bainitic transformation was also directly observed by LSCM duringaustempering below MS. Moreover, it was clear from the results of dilatation during austempering that the inflection point inthe dilatation curve against time was not the demarcation point between martensitic and bainitic transformation, and in situobservations confirmed that martensite was still formed after the inflection point. Therefore, the obtained results could be anexcellent reference to further understand the mechanism of bainitic and martensitic transformations in Fe–C–Mn–Si bainiticsteel during austempering below MS.
