      • An Applicative Approach for Collecting and Fortifying History of Data in Cloud Environment

        Today cloud computing has been the buzzword among many communities. Many users are using the cloud to ensure cost effectiveness towards their hardware resources. As cloud may seem tempting there are many security issues relating to the cloud. One the issue is the activities performed on the data, which are monitored by logs. These logs are used as evidence to the forensic investigators. But due to the emerging technologies the hackers are able to modify the log data. When the hackers modify the data, it is a painful task for the forensic investigators to rebuild the evidence. So to address this issue we are developing a mechanism to generate the log files, ensure security to log files and making the log files interoperable to the Cloud Service Provider (CSP).

        Robust image hashing using SIFT feature points and DWT approximation coefficients

        This study proposes a robust hashing method using scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) features points and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) approximation coefficients for image authentication. Initially, the invariant feature points are computed using SIFT from the component of color image. Next, n distinct SIFT feature points are utilized to extract image content from the component. Then, DWT is applied to extracted content in order to compute approximation coefficients. Finally, the approximation coefficients are normalized to form a binary hash. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust to various content-preserving operations such as compression, scaling, filtering, additive noise, brightness, and contrast adjustment. In addition, the performance of the proposed method is compared to existing methods using a receiver operating characteristics curve. The comparison results show that the proposed method performs better than the existing methods.

        In-vitro and pharmacodynamic characterization of solidified self microemulsified system of quetiapine fumarate

        Quetiapine fumarate has possessed low solubility and extremely poor bioavailability, which restricts its oral administration. In order to address this concern, microemulsification technique was envisaged. Solubility of quetiapine was assessed in various liquid vehicles (oils, surfactants and cosurfactants) for the selection of carriers in self microemulsifying drug delivery system (SMEDDS) formulation. Microemulsion region was identified from the pseudoternary phase diagram. Quetiapine was loaded in preconcetrates of the predetermined microemulsion region. Quetiapine loaded SMEDDS were characterized for FTIR, pH, viscosity, zeta potential, and evaluated for drug content, in-vitro dissolution, in-vitro diffusion, and ex-vivo permeation. Optimized liquid SMEDDS were renewed into S-SMEDDS by adsorption and melt granulation technique. Formulated S-SMEDDS were characterized for micromeritics, DSC, SEM, and evaluated for drug content, reconstitution time, drug release, stability and anti-psychotic activity in animals for amphetamine induced stereotypy and swimming normalization test. The formulations of O11, O13, C6 and C10 liquid SMEDDS had shown drug release of 92, 94.16, 68.59 and 55.03% respectively at the end of 1 h. S-SMEDDS exhibited good micromeritics with a drug content of 80 to 90% and released drug up to 96%. AO13 of S-SMEDDS had 1.2 years of shelf life and exhibited better anti-psychotic activity owing to enhanced biomembrane permeation in the presence of tweens as surfactants. The spontaneous formation of microemulsion from adsorption based S-SMEDDS resulted in hasty drug release. Thus the results of the study indicated that self microemulsification of quetiapine and subsequent solidification is the better alternative in affording optimal pharmacotherapy of psychosis.

        <P><B>Purpose</B></P><P>To describe the stroke-related Twitter network through analysis of the #Stroke hashtag.</P><P><B>Materials and methods</B></P><P>621 653 tweets containing the #Stroke hashtag were analyzed from 20 March 2012 to 31 January 2018. Twitter activity metrics, engagement, user characteristics, content analysis, and network analysis were obtained using the healthcare social media analytics platform, Symplur Signals.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>The number of users, the number of impressions, and the number of tweets containing the #Stroke hashtag increased by an annual average of 64.9%, 87.7%, and 89.2% over the past 6 years from 20 March 2012 to 31January 2018. 69 371 tweets (11.2%) contained novel content and 48 568 tweets (7.8%) related to patient care. 181 120 (29.1%) tweets contained at least one image and 436 132 tweets (70.2%) contained links to outside resources. Stroke prevention, diabetes, and atrial fibrillation were commonly discussed topics. With regard to engagement, there were 259 438 retweets (41.7%), 366 561 mentions (59.0%), and 8549 replies (1.4%). Physicians and patients authored 52 197 (8.4%) and 41 822 (6.7%) tweets, respectively. Advocate organizations, patients, and non-healthcare individuals most frequently used the #Stroke hashtag on Twitter.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>The use of the #Stroke hashtag on Twitter has grown significantly over the 6-year study period. The majority of the discussions were held between stroke support groups and non-healthcare-related individuals, with discussion content centering around stroke prevention, stroke symptoms, associated medical conditions, and treatment options.</P>
