hundred and twenty six Vietnamese traditional herbals belonging to 59 families were screened forof seven plants, including Euphorbia thymifolia (leaf), Gnetum montanum (stem), Heterosmilax erythrantha(root), Morus alba (leaf), Syzygium formosum (leaf), Jussiaea repens (aerial parts), and Camellia sinensis (leaf),exhibited significant antioxidant activities. All of these herbs showed remarkable free radical scavenging activitieswith IC50 values of 11.0, 14.5, 17.0, 13.6, 10.8, 7.7, and 8.5g/ml, respectively, and significant inhibitory effectsconcentration of 50g/ml.KeywordsVietnamese medicinal plants, antioxidant activity, free radical scavenging, lipid peroxidation

Plants contain a large number of phytochemical components, many of which are known as bioactive compounds and responsible for the expression of various pharmacological activities. The extract of Sonneratia caseolaris fruit collected in Vietnam was investigated for its total phenolic and total flavonoid contents using methanol solvent and different fractions of S. caseolaris fruits (hexane, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, and aqueous). GC–MS analysis was conducted to identify the bioactive chemical constituents occurring in the active extract. Further, the antibacterial activity was tested in vitro on bacterial isolates, namely Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis, using the disc diffusion method on tryptic soya agar (TSA) medium. The methanol extract showed high total flavonoid (82.3 ± 0.41 mg QE/g extract) and phenolic (41.0 ± 0.34 mg GAE/g extract) content. GC–MS of the methanol extract and different fractions of S. caseolaris fruits detected 20 compounds, principally fatty alcohols, fatty acids, phenols, lipids, terpenes derivatives, and carboxylic acids derivatives. A 50 mg/ml concentration of methanol extract had the strongest antibacterial activity on E. coli, S. aureus, and B. subtilis. Furthermore, ethyl acetate, aqueous, and n-butanol fractions inhibited S. aureus and B. subtilis the most. The results of the present study suggested that the fruits of S. caseolaris are rich sources of phenolic compounds that can contribute to safe and cost-effective treatments.

Several isoquinoline alkaloids (1 - 18), which have basic chemical structures as protoberberine and aporphine skeletones, were evaluated for their inhibitory activities on AChE and BuChE. Among them, compounds 3, 4, 6, 8 and 12 showed the potent AchE activity with the IC50 values ranging from 10.2 ? 0.5 mM to 24.5 ? 1.6 mM, meanwhile, compound 14 - 17 exhibited strong inhibitory activity with IC50 values from 2.1 ? 0.2 to 5.5 ? 0.3 mM. Compounds 14 - 17 exhibited selective inhibition for AChE compared with BuChE. The isoquinoline alkaloid possesses aromatic methylenedioxy groups and quaternary nitrogen atoms are crucial for the anti-cholinesterase inhibitory activity.

The main aim of this paper is to present some results related to asymptotic behavior of distribution functions of random variables of chi-square type [수식] with degrees of freedom N, where N is a positive integer-valued random variable independent on all standard normally distributed random variables Xi. Two ways for computing the distribution functions of chi-square type random variables with random degrees of freedom are considered. This paper proposes a novel fault-tolerant synchronous sliding mode control for a 4-DOF parallel manipulator against uncertainties such as modelling error and actuator faults. The proposed control is developed with the consensus approach, sliding mode control, and extended state observer to manage the tracking objective and guarantee the synchronous requirements. The consensus approach combines the tracking and synchronous errors, which helps to integrate both the tracking and synchronous requirements into cross-coupling errors. Firstly, the kinematics and dynamics of the parallel manipulator are described according to the geometric and Euler Lagrange approaches with the challenges. Secondly, the Lyapunov approach is implemented to verify the stability and robustness of the proposed control in theory. Then, some simulations are conducted in MATLAB Simulink with the robotic dynamics generated by converting the design model in SOLIDWORKs into SIMSCAPE. The comparisons between the proposed control and other controllers are made by creating simulations to evaluate the advantages of the proposed approach.

Currently, the application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to tackle the path planning tasks has proliferated and appeal interest in academic research, civil and military applications. In this paper we propose a deep Q network (DQN)-based solution framework, in which a single UAV act as a relay node establishing downlink transmission to all the mobile user in a cellular area. DQN-based trajectory planning algorithm is proposed, which effectively maximize the Signal to interference& noise ratio (SINR) by optimizing the flying path of the relay UAV.

The goal of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the use of multiple materials in plate-like structures structure and provide engineers and designers an appropriate view point of multi-material topology optimization when making decision and information in design. Element density distribution contours of mixing multiple material densities are linked to Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization (SIMP) as a design model. The mathematical formulation of multi-material topology optimization problem solving minimum structural compliance is an alternating active-phase algorithm with the Gauss-Seidel version as an optimization model of optimality criteria. Some numerical examples are considered to illustrate the reliability and accuracy of the present design method for multi-material topology optimization.

Let ${X_n,\;n\geq1}$ be a sequence of independent identically distributed (i.i.d.) random variables (r.vs.), defined on a probability space ($\Omega$,A,P), and let ${N_n,\;n\geq1}$ be a sequence of positive integer-valued r.vs., defined on the same probability space ($\Omega$,A,P). Furthermore, we assume that the r.vs. $N_n$, $n\geq1$ are independent of all r.vs. $X_n$, $n\geq1$. In present paper we are interested in asymptotic behaviors of the random sum $S_{N_n}=X_1+X_2+\cdots+X_{N_n}$, $S_0=0$, where the r.vs. $N_n$, $n\geq1$ obey some defined probability laws. Since the appearance of the Robbins's results in 1948 ([8]), the random sums $S_{N_n}$ have been investigated in the theory probability and stochastic processes for quite some time (see [1], [4], [2], [3], [5]). Recently, the random sum approach is used in some applied problems of stochastic processes, stochastic modeling, random walk, queue theory, theory of network or theory of estimation (see [10], [12]). The main aim of this paper is to establish some results related to the asymptotic behaviors of the random sum $S_{N_n}$, in cases when the $N_n$, $n\geq1$ are assumed to follow concrete probability laws as Poisson, Bernoulli, binomial or geometry.
