      • Multiple Constrained Dynamic Path Optimization based on Improved Ant Colony Algorithm

        Vehicle navigation system can effectively alleviate traffic congestion, reduce pollution, and reduce travel cost and other problems. As is known to all, the traditional ones are all just static path planning with problems of not only weak effectiveness but also lack of standard optimal path options. They usually provide only one path which represents the shortest time or shortest distance, and ignore the actual demands of the dirivers. Based on traffic data of the past, the upcoming traffic flows can be estimated. With the help of the improved ant colony algorithm, the dynamic optimal path planning results will meet the need of the travelers according with multiple actual constraints.

        Ethylene increases accumulation of compatible solutes and decreases oxidative stress to improve plant tolerance to water stress in Arabidopsis

        Ethylene (ET) plays an important role as signal transducer in plants in response to environmental stimuli. Under water deficient conditions, fine adjustment of osmosis and redox states through phytohormones is vital for plant resistance to drought. Here, physiological and cellular responses of ET insensitive mutants (ein2-5 and ein3-1) were analyzed under water deficiency stimulated by polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG-6000), and compared with wild type plants (Col-0) as controls. The accumulation of compatible solutes was higher in Col-0 than in ein2-5 and ein3-1. In Col-0 plants, water stress also increased transcription of P5CS1, which encoded a key rate-limiting enzyme in proline biosynthesis. These results suggested that ET signaling is involved in increasing the up-regulation of soluble sugar and proline accumulation to adjust to osmotic stress. In addition, oxidative stress was higher in ET defective mutants than in Col-0 wild-type plants. Meanwhile, increased activities of the reactive oxygen species (ROS)-scavenging enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) were observed in ET insensitive mutants, indicating aggravated oxidative stress in ET-defective plants under drought. In conclusion, ET signaling is involved in modulating plant oxidative stress under drought conditions.

        Safety analysis of marine nuclear reactor in severe accident with dynamic fault trees based on cut sequence method

        Dynamic fault tree (DFT) and its related research methods have received extensive attention in safety analysis and reliability engineering. DFT can perform reliability modelling for systems with sequential correlation, resource sharing, and cold and hot spare parts. A technical modelling method of DFT is proposed for modelling ship collision accidents and loss-of-coolant accidents (LOCAs). Qualitative and quantitative analyses of DFT were carried out using the cutting sequence (CS)/extended cutting sequence (ECS) method. The results show nine types of dynamic fault failure modes in ship collision accidents, describing the fault propagation process of a dynamic system and reflect the dynamic changes of the entire accident system. The probability of a ship collision accident is 2.378 109 by using CS. This failure mode cannot be expressed by a combination of basic events within the same event frame after an LOCA occurs in a marine nuclear reactor because the system contains warm spare parts. Therefore, the probability of losing reactor control was calculated as 8.125 106 using the ECS. Compared with CS, ECS is more efficient considering expression and processing capabilities, and has a significant advantage considering cost.
