        Performance of ring oscillators composed of gate-all-around FETs with varying numbers of nanowire channels using TCAD simulation

        <P>In this paper, we investigate the performance of ring oscillators composed of gate-all-around (GAA) silicon nanowire (NW) field-effect transistors (FETs) with four different numbers of NW channels, for sub-10-nm logic applications. Our simulations reveal that ring oscillators with double, triple, and quadruple NW channels exhibit improvements of up to 50%, 85%, and 97%, respectively, in the oscillation frequencies (f(osc)), compared to a ring oscillator with a single NW channel, due to the large drive current, in spite of the increased intrinsic capacitance of a given device. Moreover, our work shows that the f(osc) improvement ratio of the ring oscillators becomes saturated with triple NW channels with additional load capacitances of 0.1 fF and 0.01 fF, which are similar to, or less than the intrinsic device capacitance (similar to 0.1 fF). Thus, our study provides an insight for determining the capacitive load and optimal number of NW channels, for device development and circuit design of GAA NW FETs. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V.         A Study on a Landscape Management Plan for the Intensive Landscape Management Zone in Muju County

        This study on the intensive landscape management zone of Muju county in Korea was conducted for the purpose of first, developing landscape guidelines that take the current conditions of the landscape in the area and tourists’ requirements into account and second, exploring ways to implement them. The current conditions of the landscape resources in the area were analyzed by conducting a theoretical examination; a survey of the current status of the landscape; and a questionnaire survey of the local people, tourists, and public officials. Based on the result of those surveys, the guidelines for the landscape design of the intensive landscape management zone were set, and measures to implement them were explored. The results of this study are as follows: 1. For the building landscape of the Meeting plaza at Muju IC, a variable structure made of natural materials is suggested for the extended space in front of the mall, while an integrated design of street furniture and installation of a landmark and its design are suggested for the streetscape. 2. For the area of Bandi Land and Taekwondowon, improvement of the street structure for the main street and of the height of the buildings, taking the view of mountains into account, is suggested, and the design is also proposed. 3. For the Muju Resort and entrance to the Gucheondong valley of Muju, building planning that takes fine natural views into account, as well as reorganization of public and commercial signboards, are suggested, and the design is also proposed. 4. For the implementation of these plans, focus is placed on the current status of land use by zone. First, implementation of landscape projects and switching to a roundabout at the entrance are proposed for the Muju IC Meeting Plaza. Second, a district-unit plan is suggested for Bandi Land and Taekwondowon areas because new development projects are planned for them. Third, a landscape agreement is suggested for the Muju Resort and the area of entrance to the Gucheondong valley of Muju because those are already-developed areas where active commercial activities are performed.

        초고강도 강섬유보강 철근콘크리트의 인장강화 모델 및 적용

        이 논문에서는 초고강도 강섬유보강 철근콘크리트 구조물의 단조증가 하중에서 비선형 해석모델을 소개하고 있다. 일반콘크리트에 비해 압축강도와 인장강도가 증가한 초고강도 강섬유보강 콘크리트는 그 거동이 일반콘크리트와 다른 특성을 가지고 있다. 초고강도 강섬유보강 철근콘크리트 구조물에 대한 비선형 해석을 하기에 앞서 실험결과를 이용하여 압축영역에서 응력-변형률, 관계를 회귀분석을 통하여 유추하였고, 초고강도 강섬유보강 철근콘크리트 구조물 거동의 정확한 예측을 위하여 등가일축 응력-변형률 관계를 이용하였다. 또한 균열의 진전에 따른 균열각을 모사하기 위해 평면응력 요소를 이용하였고, 분산철근모델을 이용하여 해석에 적용하였다. 한편, 초고강도 강섬유보강 철근콘크리트의 인장영역에서 웅력-변형률 관계를 정의하기 위해 철근과 콘크리트의 부착응력-부착슬립 관계와 강섬유의 영향 등을 고려한 새로운 인장강화 모델을 제안하고 있다. 끝으로 제안된 알고리즘과 응력-변형률 관계 및 인장강화 모델을 한국건설기술연구원에서 실험한 초고강도 강섬유보강 철근콘크리트 부재에 대한 수치해석을 수행하여 실험결과와 비교, 평가하였다. A numerical model that can simulate the nonlinear behavior of ultra high strength fiber reinforced concrete (UHSFRC) structures subjected to monotonic loading is introduced. The material properties of UHSFRC, such as compressive and tensile strength or elastic modulus, are different from normal strength reinforced concrete. The uniaxial compressive stress-strain relationship of UHSFRC is designed on the basis of experimental result, and the equivalent uniaxial stress-strain relationship is introduced for proper estimation of UHSFRC structures. The steel is uniformly distributed over the concrete matrix with particular orientation angle. In advance, this paper introduces a numerical model that can simulate the tension-stiffening behavior of tension part of the axial member on the basis of the bond-slip relationship. The reaction of steel fiber is considered for the numerical model after cracks of the concrete matrix with steel fibers are formed. Finally, the introduced numerical model is validated by comparison with test results for idealized UHSFRC beams.
