아우터 타이로드는 다른 차량 부품에 비해서 중량이 적지만, 차량 성능이 개선됨에 따라 부품의 수 및 중량 에 증가하는 추세에 있다. 그러므로 자동차 연비 향상을 위해서는 경량화가 필수적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전기 자동차용 아우터 타이로드의 경량화 설계를 위한 기초연구로서 구조성능을 검토하기 위한 유한요소해석을 수행하였 다. 개발되는 아우터 타이로드의 재질은 일반 강을 이용하였고 좌굴 및 내구 성능을 검토하였다. 조향계 및 현가계 부품의 개발 시 관성력하중, 충격하중, 좌굴하중 및 내구하중에 의한 강도를 검토하는 것이 일반적이지만, 본 연구에 서는 극악한 하중으로 알려진 좌굴특성과 내구특성 만을 검토하였다. 또한 아우터 타이로드의 단면형상을 결정하는 파라미터를 설계변수로 정의하고 메타모델기반 최적화 기법을 적용하여 최적설계를 제시하였다. 그 결과 초기제품의 중량보다 9 % 감소를 실현하였다. Outer tie rod is lighter than other, but there is the trend item weight and the number is increasing due to vehicle performance improvement. Thus, to improve vehicle fuel efficiency, weight lightening is essential. Therefore, this research performed the finite element analysis to investigate the structural performance of the outer tie rod for an electrical vehicle. This study was performed as the preliminary study for a lightweight design of the outer tie rod. The weight of outer tie rod was optimized by adopting the steel material and applying the trial and error method. The strengths due to durability and buckling should be considered in the structural design of an outer tie rod. Furthermore, the meta model-based optimization was applied to obtain its lightweight design, leading to 9 % weigh reduction.

Because of a radical change in demographic profile, Korean higher education system confronts an unprecedented challenge, the reduction of college applicants. To achieve a moderate shift as well as to enhance global competitiveness of higher education, Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology(KMEST) is implementing a structural reform by selective financial support to each college. One of important evaluation criteria is Student Faculty Ratio (Chung-One-Ryul). This research aims at studying the latest situation in faculty recruitment to provide with the basic data for national educational policy development. One data set was collected from recruitment advertisements loaded on hibrain.net, and the other was obtained by conducting a survey on the newly appointed faculty members at each college nation-widely. The non-tenure tract positions are shown to be rapidly increasing, presumably due to indiscriminate weight of tenure/non-tenure track positions on KMEST college evaluation. Based on our results we hereby present four suggestions to governmental authorities to help them develop reasonable college reform policies and protocols.
Growth Characteristics of Enterobacter sakazakii Used to Develop a Predictive Model

A mathematical model was developed for predicting the growth rate of Enterobacter sakazakii in tryptic soy broth medium as a function of the combined effects of temperature (5, 10, 20, 30, and 40℃), pH (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10), and the NaCl concentration (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10%). With all experimental variables, the primary models showed a good fit (R<sup>2</sup>=0.8965 to 0.9994) to a modified Gompertz equation to obtain growth rates. The secondary model was ‘ln specific growth rate= ?0.38116+(0.01281*Temp)+(0.07993*pH)+(0.00618*NaCl)+(-0.00018*Temp<sup>2</sup>)+(-0.00551*pH<sup>2</sup>)+(-0.00093*NaCl<sup>2</sup>)+(0.00013*Temp*pH)+(-0.00038*Temp*NaCl)+(-0.00023*pH*NaCl)’. This model is thought to be appropriate for predicting growth rates on the basis of a correlation coefficient (r) 0.9579, a coefficient of determination (R<sup>2</sup>) 0.91, a mean square error 0.026, a bias factor 1.03, and an accuracy factor 1.13. Our secondary model provided reliable predictions of growth rates for E. sakazakii in broth with the combined effects of temperature, NaCl concentration, and pH.
