The effects of 6-aminonicotinamide (6-AN) on viability of IMR32 neuroblastoma cells in the presence of ATP or NAD+ have been investigated. 6-AN caused marked reduction in cell viability and similar observations were also made with cells treated with 6-AN+ATP. However, cells treated with 6-AN+NAD+ showed cell viability similar to untreated cells. Morphologically, 6-AN and 6-AN+ATP treated cells showed loss of neurites, polyhedric shapes, shrinkage of cell bodies and formation of lysed cells, while 6-AN+NAD+ cells did not show any such changes. The flow cytometry analysis demonstrated that 6-AN increased cell population in G0/G1 phase and decreased cell population in S and G2/M phase following a 72 h exposure. Western blot analysis showed that 6-AN stimulated a substantial increase in the level of the cdk inhibitor p27kip1, but lowered the levels of cdk2, cyclin E and p-Rb. However, cdc25A and p53R2 were not significantly affected. Immunofluorscence staining of p27kip1, cdk2, cyclin E and p-Rb revealed close correlation between the signal observed in the Western blot analysis. 6-AN+ATP treated cells showed similar results obtained with 6-AN treated cells in expression of cdk2, cyclin E, p-Rb proteins and p27kip1. 6-AN+NAD+cells showed greater expression of cdk2, cyclin E and p-Rb than those in 6-AN and 6-AN+ATP treated cells. The results suggest that 6-AN induced the G0/G1 phase arrest in IMR32 neuroblastoma cell lines through the increase of p27kip1 and the decrease of cdk2, cyclin E and p-Rb.
Robust and Reversible Image Watermarking Scheme Using Combined DCT-DWT-SVD Transforms
( Souad Bekkouch ),( Kamel Mohamed Faraoun ) 한국정보처리학회 2015 Journal of information processing systems Vol.11 No.3
We present a secure and robust image watermarking scheme that uses combined reversible DWT-DCT-SVD transformations to increase integrity, authentication, and confidentiality. The proposed scheme uses two different kinds of watermarking images: a reversible watermark, W1, which is used for verification (ensuring integrity and authentication aspects); and a second one, W2, which is defined by a logo image that provides confidentiality. Our proposed scheme is shown to be robust, while its performances are evaluated with respect to the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), normalized cross-correlation (NCC), and running time. The robustness of the scheme is also evaluated against different attacks, including a compression attack and Salt & Pepper attack.
Commutativity criteria of prime rings involving two endomorphisms
Souad Dakir,Abdellah Mamouni,Mohammed Tamekkante 대한수학회 2022 대한수학회논문집 Vol.37 No.3
This paper treats the commutativity of prime rings with involution over which elements satisfy some specific identities involving endomorphisms. The obtained results cover some well-known results. We show, by given examples, that the imposed hypotheses are necessary.
A simple analytical model for free vibration and buckling analysis of orthotropic rectangular plates
Souad Sellam,Kada Draiche,Youcef Tlidji,Farouk Yahia Addou,Abdelkader Benachour 국제구조공학회 2020 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.75 No.2
In the present paper, a simple analytical model is developed based on a new refined parabolic shear deformation theory (RPSDT) for free vibration and buckling analysis of orthotropic rectangular plates with simply supported boundary conditions. The displacement field is simpler than those of other higher-order theories since it is modeled with only two unknowns and accounts for a parabolic distribution of the transverse shear stress through the plate thickness. The governing differential equations related to the present theory are obtained from the principle of virtual work, while the solution of the eigenvalue problem is achieved by assuming a Navier technique in the form of a double trigonometric series that satisfy the edge boundary conditions of the plate. Numerical results are presented and compared with previously published results for orthotropic rectangular plates in order to verify the precision of the proposed analytical model and to assess the impacts of several parameters such as the modulus ratio, the side-to-thickness ratio and the geometric ratio on natural frequencies and critical buckling loads. From these results, it can be concluded that the present computations are in excellent agreement with the other higher-order theories.
Generalized derivations in ring with involution involving symmetric and skew symmetric elements
Souad Dakir,Hajar El Mir,Abdellah Mamouni 대한수학회 2024 대한수학회논문집 Vol.39 No.1
In this paper we will demonstrate some results on a prime ring with involution by introducing two generalized derivations acting on symmetric and skew symmetric elements. This approach allows us to generalize some well known results. Furthermore, we provide examples to show that various restrictions imposed in the hypotheses of our theorems are not superfluous.
WEAK HERZ-TYPE HARDY SPACES WITH VARIABLE EXPONENTS AND APPLICATIONS
Souad Ben Seghier Korean Mathematical Society 2023 대한수학회지 Vol.60 No.1
Let α ∈ (0, ∞), p ∈ (0, ∞) and q(·) : ℝn → [1, ∞) satisfy the globally log-Hölder continuity condition. We introduce the weak Herz-type Hardy spaces with variable exponents via the radial grand maximal operator and to give its maximal characterizations, we establish a version of the boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator M and the Fefferman-Stein vector-valued inequality on the weak Herz spaces with variable exponents. We also obtain the atomic and the molecular decompositions of the weak Herz-type Hardy spaces with variable exponents. As an application of the atomic decomposition we provide various equivalent characterizations of our spaces by means of the Lusin area function, the Littlewood-Paley g-function and the Littlewood-Paley $g^*_{\lambda}$-function.
