      • On a Proxy-Based Control as Multiple Controllers with Feedback Interconnections

        Auralius Manurung,Sigit Santoso,Nur Uddin,Lisa Kristiana 제어로봇시스템학회 2021 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2021 No.10

A proxy-based control, in its core, is two controllers combined in series. This paper presents the fundamental aspects of such a unique control technique. We first establish the main features of a proxy-based control. These features are mainly related to the stability of a controlled system. Additionally, we propose a simple form of a proxy-based control and implement it into a test device for proof of concept. The simple proxy-based control that we propose in this paper is composed of two constant gains (proportional terms) and one integral term to remove the steady-state error. This integral term must be attached to the controller with the lower impedance. We also explore another feature of a proxy-based control during this hardware implementation: how we use one control gain to perform fine-tuning while using the other control gain to maintain system stability. We demonstrate this by adding an adaptation law also to the controller with the lower impedance. All obtained results align with the presented theory.

Physicochemical Properties of Gelatin Extracted from Buffalo Hide Pretreated with Different Acids

        Sri Mulyani,Francis.M.C,Sigit Setyabudi,Yudi Pranoto,Umar Santoso 한국축산식품학회 2017 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.37 No.5

The acid pretreatment of collagen molecules disrupts their crosslinks and assists in the release of acid-soluble proteins, fats, and other components. Generally, to achieve optimum extraction efficiency, strong acids may be used at a lower acid concentration compared to weak acids. This study aimed to determine the yield and physicochemical properties of gelatins extracted from buffalo hides pretreated with different acids. Hides were extracted with hydrochloric, citric, and acetic acids at concentrations of 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, and 1.5 M. A completely randomized design and the least significant difference test were used in the experimental design, and all measurements were performed in triplicate. The highest yield (29.17%) was obtained from pretreatment with 0.9 M HCl. The gel strength did not differ significantly (p>0.05) according to acid type (280.26-259.62 g Bloom), and the highest viscosity was obtained from the 0.6 M citric acid pretreatment. All the gelatins contained α- and β-chain components and several degraded peptides (24-66 kDa). The color and Fourier-transform infrared spectrum of the gelatin extracted using 0.9 M HCl were similar to those of commercial bovine skin gelatin. In general, the physicochemical properties of the gelatin complied with the industry standard set by the Gelatin Manufacturers Institute of America, revealing that buffalo hide could serve as a potential alternative source of gelatin.

Cervical cancer prevention program in Jakarta, Indonesia: See and Treat model in developing country

        Laila Nuranna,Mohamad Farid Aziz,Santoso Cornain,Gatot Purwoto,Sigit Purbadi,Setyawati Budiningsih,Budiningsih Siregar,Alexander Arnold Willem Peters 대한부인종양학회 2012 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.23 No.3

Objective: The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of single visit approach or See-visual inspection of the cervix with acetic acid (VIA)-and Treat-immediate cryotherapy in the VIA positive cases-model for the cervical cancer prevention in Jakarta, Indonesia. Methods: An observational study in community setting for See and Treat program was conducted in Jakarta from 2007 until 2010. The program used a proactive and coordinative with VIA and cryotherapy (Proactive-VO) model with comprehensive approach that consists of five pillars 1) area preparation, 2) training, 3) awareness, 4) VIA and cryotherapy, and 5) referral. Results: There were 2,216 people trained, consist of 641 general practitioners, 678 midwives, 610 public health cadres and 287 key people from the society. They were trained for five days followed by refreshing and evaluation program to ensure the quality of the test providers. In total, 22,989 women had been screened. The VIA test-positive rate was 4.21% (970/22,989). In this positive group, immediate cryotherapy was performed in 654 women (67.4%). Conclusion: See and Treat program was successfully implemented in Jakarta area. The Proactive-VO model is a promising way to screen and treat precancerous lesions in low resource setting.
