Model-dependent Scheduling and H-infinity Control Co-design for Networked Control Systems

Shunli Zhao,Yuehui Ji 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2021 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.19 No.2

In this paper, a novel model-dependent scheduling scheme is proposed for the networked control systems with time-delay, disturbance, and medium access constraints. The scheduler calculates the error between the ideal dynamic and the real system, and selects the states that make the stability of the system better to access the network. In addition, two kinds of representative time-delays in the networked control systems, constant time-delay and random time-delay, are considered. A robust H-infinity and switched-system-based co-design strategy is introduced to deal with the disturbance in the system, and the system uncertainty introduced by the random time-delay as well. Finally, illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectivity of the proposed scheduling method and the co-design scheme.

Mobility Analysis of a 3-PUU Flexure-based Manipulator based on Screw Theory and Compliance Matrix Method

Shunli Xiao,Yangmin Li,Qiaoling Meng 한국정밀공학회 2013 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol. No.

This paper presents the mobility analysis of a 3-PUU flexure-based compliant parallel XYZ pure translational positioning stage. A 3-PUU positioning stage is constructed with a symmetric structure by employing three parallel PUU legs, a moving platform, and a fixed platform. Screw theory and compliance matrix method are utilized to analyze the three pure translational degrees of freedom (DOF) mechanism. The procedure is based on the screw theory deducted analytic equations that incorporate both the instaneous mobility at the initial position and the mobility during the whole working space. The kinematical and the dynamical modeling of this system are built by resorting to compliance characteristics analysis based on compliance matrix method. The analytical results also clarify effectively that the 3-PUU parallel positioning stage is with a pure translational mobility. Independent finite element simulation confirms that the motion of the stage is a pure translational positioning stage.

Conduction Mechanism in (La0.7Sr0.3MnO3)n(BiFeO3)n Multilayered Thin Films

        Huiwen Zhu,Shunli Wang,Ping Jiang,Jingqin Shen,Weihua Tang 한국물리학회 2010 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.57 No.2

(La0.7Sr0.3MnO3)n(BiFeO3)n multilayered thin films were deposited on (0 0 1) SrTiO3 substrates by using the RF magnetron sputtering method, and their conduction mechanisms in the temperature range between 150 K and 300 K were investigated using several common dielectric conduction models. The results indicate the current-voltage characterization of the as-fabricated thin films obey Ohm’s law at 300 K, but the space-charge-limited conduction mechanism becomes dominant in the as-fabricated thin films as the temperature is decreased.

Differences in parasitic ability of Beauveria bassiana (Moniliales: Moniliaceae) in relation to Pantana phyllostachysae (Lepidoptera: Lymantridae) when feeding on different Phyllostachys pubescens (Poales: Poaceae) leaves

        Jun Su,Shunli CHEN,Fei-ping ZHANG 한국곤충학회 2015 Entomological Research Vol.45 No.3

Differences in composition of on‐year, off‐year and new leaves in Phyllostachys pubescens (moso bamboo) forests will affect the resistance of Pantana phyllostachysae larvae and the parasitic ability of Beauveria bassiana. Pantana phyllostachysae fed on mixed leaves of on‐year, off‐year and new bamboo leaves. The activities of acetylcholine esterase (AChE) and glutathione S‐transferase (GSTs) in P. phyllostachysae larvae fed on mixed leaves were significantly higher, greatly reducing the pathogenicity of B. bassiana to P. phyllostachysae larvae compared with the treatments of off‐year and new bamboo leaves. The phenoloxidase (PO) activity in P. phyllostachysae larvae feeding on mixed leaves varied within three days after parasitization by B. bassiana, which indicated higher and less changeable PO activity compared with treatments of off‐year and new bamboo leaves. Inclusion of new leaves differed greatly due to its growth, in which, both AChE and GSTs activities were higher than the off‐year leaf treatment, leading to a lower pathogenicity of B. bassiana to P. phyllostachysae larvae feeding on new leaves compared with off‐year leaves. On the contrary, the pathogenicity of B. bassiana to P. phyllostachysae larvae feeding on on‐year leaves was lower than other treatments. AChE and GSTs activities in P. phyllostachysae larvae were lower and PO activity was less changeable, which might be related to the disadvantage of the larval surface structure to B. bassiana infection in the on‐year leaf treatment.

Design, Modeling, Control and Experiment for a 2-DOF Compliant Micro-Motion Stage

Yangmin Li,Shunli Xiao,Longquan Xi,Zhigang Wu 한국정밀공학회 2014 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol. No.

A new XY micro-motion stage is proposed with the double four-bar prismatic joints to transfer linear motions and mechanicaldisplacement amplifier. The compliance models of the amplifier, the prismatic joints, and the whole stage are established based onthe flexibility matrix method. The simulation is made by using finite element analysis ANSYS software. The output cross-talk is about2% and the parasitic motions of the input points in the other limbs are less than 1.8%, which shows a good decoupling property. Themechanical prototype is fabricated, the experimental results show that the input/output of the stage has a very good linearity, the ratioof output displacement to input displacement is 5.06 and the working range is 156 μm × 156 μm. To tackle for the serious hysteresisnonlinear problems of the stage, model reference adaptive PID controller is designed, the final resolution can reach ±0.2 μm.

Hepatic Resection Provides Survival Benefit for Selected Intermediate-Stage (BCLC-B) Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients

        Zhang Zhaohui,Shen Shunli,Chen Bin,Li Shaoqiang,Hua Yunpeng,Kuang Ming,Liang Lijian,Peng Bao Gang 대한암학회 2019 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.51 No.1

Purpose The intermediate stage of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer [BCLC] B) comprises a highly heterogeneous population, and the treatment strategy is still controversial. Because of the heterogeneity, a subclassification of intermediate-stage HCCs was put forward by Bolondi according to the ‘beyond Milan and within up-to-7’ criteria and Child-Pugh score. In this study, we aim to analyze the prognosis of BCLC-B stage HCC patients who received hepatic resection according to the Bolondi’s subclassification. Materials and Methods One thousand and one hundred three patients diagnosed with HCC and treated with hepatic resection were enrolled in our hospital between 2006 and 2012. According to Bolondi’s subclassification, the BCLC-B patients were divided into four groups. Recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. Results According to Bolondi’s subclassification, the BCLC-B patients were divided into four groups: B1 (n=41, 18.7%), B2 (n=160, 73.1%), B3 (n=11, 5.0%), and B4 (n=7, 3.2%). Significant difference was observed between B1 and other groups (B1 vs. B2, p=0.022; B1 vs. B3, p < 0.001; B1 vs. B4, p < 0.001), but no difference for B2 vs. B4 (p=0.542) and B3 vs. B4 (p=0.542). In addition, no significant differences were observed between BCLC-A and BCLCB1 group for both RFS (p=0.087) and OS (p=0.643). In multivariate analysis, BCLC-B subclassification was not a risk factor for both OS (p=0.263) and RFS (p=0.892). Conclusion In our study, HCC patients at B1 stage were benefited from hepatic resection and had similar survival to BCLC-A stage patients. Our study provided rationality of hepatic resection for selected BCLC-B stage HCC patients instead of routine transarterial chemoembolization.

Establishment and application of a solid-phase blocking ELISA method for detection of antibodies against classical swine fever virus

        Yuying Cao,Li Yuan,Shunli Yang,Youjun Shang,Bin Yang,Zhizhong Jing,Hui-Chen Guo,Shuanghui Yin 대한수의학회 2022 Journal of Veterinary Science Vol.23 No.5

Background: Classical swine fever (CSF) is a severe infectious disease of pigs that causes significant economic losses to the swine industry. Objectives: This study developed a solid-phase blocking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (spbELISA) method for the specific detection of antibodies against the CSF virus (CSFV) in porcine serum samples. Methods: A spbELISA method was developed based on the recombinant E2 expressed in Escherichia coli. The specificity of this established spbELISA method was evaluated using reference serum samples positive for antibodies against other common infectious diseases. The stability and sensitivity were evaluated using an accelerated thermostability test. Results: The spbELISA successfully detected the antibody levels in swine vaccinated with the C-strain of CSFV. In addition, the detection ability of spbELISA for CSFV antibodies was compared with that of other commercial ELISA kits and validated using an indirect immunofluorescence assay. The results suggested that the spbELISA provides an alternative, stable, and rapid serological detection method suitable for the large-scale screening of CSFV serum antibodies. Conclusions: The spbELISA has practical applications in assessing the vaccination status of large pig herds.

Novel reduced-order modeling method combined with three-particle nonlinear transform unscented Kalman filtering for the battery state-of-charge estimation

Xu, Wenhua,Wang, Shunli,Fernandez, Carlos,Yu, Chunmei,Fan, Yongcun,Cao, Wen The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2020 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.20 No.6

Accurate estimation of the lithium-ion battery state of charge plays an important role in the real-time monitoring and safety control of batteries. In order to solve the problems that the real-time estimation of the lithium-ion battery is difficult and the estimation accuracy is not high under various working conditions, a lithium-ion battery is taken as a research object, and the working characteristics of the lithium-ion battery are studied under various working conditions. In order to reduce the computational complexity of the traditional unscented Kalman algorithm, an improved unscented Kalman algorithm is proposed. Considering the importance of accurately estimating the initial state of charge for later estimation, the initial estimation value is calibrated by using the open-circuit voltage method. Then, the improved unscented Kalman filter algorithm based on a reduced-order model is used for assessing and tracking to realize real-time high-precision estimation of the state of charge of the lithium-ion battery. A simulation model is built and combined with a variety of working conditions data for performance analysis. The experimental results show that the convergence speed and tracking effect are good and that the estimation error control is within 0.8%. It is verified that the reduced order of the three-particle nonlinear transform unscented Kalman results in higher accuracy in the state-of-charge estimation of lithium-ion batteries.

Novel strategy based on improved Kalman filter algorithm for state of health evaluation of hybrid electric vehicles Li-ion batteries during short- and longer term operating conditions

Ren, Pu,Wang, Shunli,He, Mingfang,Cao, Wen The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2021 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.21 No.8

To solve the problems in estimating the state of health (SOH) of Li-ion batteries due to real-time estimation difficulty and low precision under various operating conditions, the variations of the SOH caused by increases of the internal resistance have been analyzed. Based on the second-order RC equivalent circuit model, the short-term effect of the state of charge (SOC) on the internal resistance was considered, which was set under the discharge condition. In addition, the variation of the internal resistance was analyzed in two intervals of 0-1 s and 1-10 s. The extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm was improved to present a novel improved Kalman filter (IKF) algorithm to accurately predict the long-term internal resistance under different operating conditions. A computational formula based on the internal-resistance increasing was established and the SOH was estimated. The error of the calculated result when compared with the forgetting factor least square method based on the internal-resistance increasing was controlled to within 4.0% under the HPPC condition, 3.0% under the BBDST condition, and 6.0% under the DST condition. The proposed algorithm has good convergence, helps improve the SOH estimation, and encourages the application of Li-ion batteries.
