LIE ALGEBRA AND OPERATIONAL TECHNIQUES ON THREE-VARIABLE HERMITE POLYNOMIALS
M.J.S. Shahwan,Maged G. Bin-Saad 한국수학교육학회 2017 純粹 및 應用數學 Vol.24 No.1
The present paper aims at harnessing the technique of Lie Algebra and operational methods to derive and interpret generating relations for the three- variable Hermite Polynomials Hn(x; y; z) introduced recently in [2]. Certain gener- ating relations for the polynomials related to Hn(x; y; z) are also obtained as special cases.
On Extended Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta Function
Mohannad Jamal Said Shahwan,Maged Gumman Bin-Saad,Mohammed Ahmed Pathan 경북대학교 자연과학대학 수학과 2023 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.63 No.3
This paper investigates an extended form Hurwitz-Lerch zeta function, as well as related integral images, ordinary and fractional derivatives, and series expan sions, using the term extended beta function. In addition, we establish a connection between the extended Hurwitz-Lerch zeta function and the Laguerre polynomials. Fur thermore, we present a probability distribution application of the extended Hurwitz-Lerch zeta functionζδ,µν,λ. Several (known and new) results are shown to follow as special cases of our findings.
Removal of aqueous rare earth elements (REEs) using nano-iron based materials
S. Unal Yesiller,T. Shahwan,A.E. Erog˘lu 한국공업화학회 2013 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.19 No.3
The uptake of REEs was investigated using nano-zero valent iron (nZVI) and alumina-supported nZVI (AlnZVI). The results indicated fast uptake, with saturation approached within 10 min of contact between solutions and solids. Upon using nZVI, the uptake of REEs seemed to be quantitative over the studied range of concentration; 1.0–100.0 mg Lˉ1. When Al-nZVI was used, complete removal was achieved within the range of 1.0–10.0 mg Lˉ1. The solids demonstrated stable performance beyond pH of 2.0, up to neutral pH conditions. Fractionation of REEs on Al-nZVI was observed. The REE ions seem to be fixed to oxide and oxyhydroxide surface groups.
Muath Nairat,Talal Shahwan,Ahmet E. Erog˘lu,Harald Fuchs 한국공업화학회 2015 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.21 No.1
This study reports the preparation of composite sorbents of iron nanoparticles (nZVI) and clinoptilolite atvarious iron/clinoptilolite ratios. The composites were characterized using various characterizationtechniques. The material was used for the removal of methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) asmodel cationic and anionic dyes. The experiments investigated the effects of time, loading, initial pH,reusability, and temperature on the removal process. According to the results, Cl-nZVI showed fast andquantitative removal over a wide range of concentrations. The removal process was endothermic innature, and the composite demonstrated reusability for several trials.
Some Theorems on Generating Functions
Pathan, Mahmood Ahmad,Shahwan, Mohannad Jamal S. Department of Mathematics 2007 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.47 No.3
In this paper, we derive some generating relations involving Konhauser polynomials, Gauss, Humbert, Appell and Kamp$\acute{e}$ de F$\acute{e}$riet hypergeometric functions with the help of four general theorems on generating functions (partly unilateral and partly bilateral) of one and two variables.

A survey was conducted to determine the status of Lucerne transient streak virus (LTSV) in three high-yielding alfalfa regions in central Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Qassim, and Hail) during 2014. Three hundred and eight symptomatic alfalfa, and seven Sonchus oleraceus samples were collected. DAS-ELISA indicated that 59 of these samples were positive to LTSV. Two isolates of LTSV from each region were selected for molecular studies. RT-PCR confirmed the presence of LTSV in the selected samples using a specific primer pair. Percentage identity and homology tree comparisons revealed that all Saudi isolates were more closely related to each other but also closely related to the Canadian isolate-JQ782213 (97.1-97.6%) and the New Zealand isolate-U31286 (95.8-97.1%). Comparing Saudi isolates of LTSV with ten other sobemoviruses based on the coat protein gene sequences confirmed the distant relationship between them. Eleven out of fourteen plant species used in host range study were positive to LTSV. This is the first time to document that Trifolium alexandrinum, Nicotiana occidentalis, Chenopodium glaucum, and Lathyrus sativus are new host plant species for LTSV and that N. occidentalis being a good propagative host for it.
Representation Theory of the Lie Group T3 and Three Index Bessel Functions
Pathan, Mahmood Ahmad,Shahwan, Mohannad Jamal Said Department of Mathematics 2013 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.53 No.1
The theory of generalized Bessel functions is reformulated within the framework of an operational formalism using the multiplier representation of the Lie group $T_3$ as suggested by Miller. This point of view provides more efficient tools which allow the derivation of generating functions of generalized Bessel functions. A few special cases of interest are also discussed.

During the spring season of 2014, a total of 148 melon and watermelon leaf samples were collected from symptomatic and asymptomatic plants in the western and southwestern regions of Saudi Arabia and were tested for the presence of Watermelon chlorotic stunt virus (WmCSV) and other suspected cucurbit viruses by double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. Ninety-eight samples were found to be positive for the presence of WmCSV, nine samples were positive for the presence of Cucurbit yellow stunting disorder virus (CYSDV), and 22 showed a mixed infection with both WmCSV and CYSDV. No other cucurbit viruses were detected in any of the samples. Host range experiments revealed that eight out of fourteen tested plant species were susceptible to WmCSV. PCR products of approximately 1.2 kb were obtained after amplification using primers specifically targeting the coat protein region of WmCSV. Positive PCR results were confirmed by dot blot hybridization. Coat protein gene sequences from eleven WmCSV isolates indicated that the highest identity was between the 104WMA-SA isolate from the Wadi Baish location and a previously reported isolate from the AL-Lith location in Saudi Arabia. The lowest identity was observed between the 42WMA-SA isolate and an isolate from Palestine.
