아동성폭력 예방을 위한 행동기술훈련의 효과에 관한 연구
손승아(Seung Ah Son) 한국아동학회 1992 아동학회지 Vol.13 No.2
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching personal safety skills for prevention of potential child sexual abuse in Korean society. The subjects of this study were 80 first grade female students, sampled from elementary schools in Seoul. The instruments of this study were the Personal Safety Questionnaire (PSQ) and `What if` Situations Test (WIST) modified by the present researcher. The t-test and Pearson`s correlation coefficient were applied to analyze the data of this study. The results of the analysis were (1) after the Behavioral Skills Training, the children of the training group showed a higher level of knowledge about child sexual abuse than the control group. (2) After the Behavioral Skills Training, the children of the training group showed more adequate self-defensive skills than the control group when they faced situations of possible child sexual abuse. (3) The higher the level of knowledge about child sexual abuse, the more adequate self-defensive skills in situations of child sexual abuse. These results supported the effectiveness of Behavioral Skills Training as preventive education on potential child sexual abuse.

Abstract

Chorea-ballism is a rare form of movement disorder complicated by severe hyperglycaemia and in association with a contralateral basal ganglia lesion. We analysed the clinical characteristics of 25 Korean patients with chorea-ballism associated with nonketotic hyperglycaemia or diabetic ketoacidosis. Possible mechanisms of disease are also discussed.

개와 쥐 심실의 β - Adrenergic receptor 의 성질에 관한 연구
손승아,이정수 한국위생과학회 2001 한국위생과학회지 Vol.7 No.1
To characterize the β-adrenergic receptors in dog and rat hearts, receptor binding assays using [³H]dihydroalprenolol(DHA) (β-adrenergic receptor) was performed in the sarcolemma fraction prepared from dog and rat ventricles. [³H]ouabain binding sites enriched about 45-fold(dog) and 10-fold(rat) in the sarcolemma fraction relative to the starting homogenate. For [³H] DHA binding to dog cardiac sarcolemma, the association rate constant was (75.0 ± 6.5) × 10-3M-1min-1 and the dissociation rate constant was (842.2 ± 105.0) × 10-3min-1. The K_D calculated from the ratio of those two values was about 11nM. The kinetic K_D determined for [³H] DHA binding to rat cardiac sarcolemma was about 1.6nM. The association and dissociation from receptor in dog hearts was slower and faster, respectively, than those in rat hearts. Scatchard analysis of [³H] DHA binding to dog and rat heart gave a K_D value of about 8 and 1.6 nM with binding capacity of about 2.3 and 0.45 pmol/mg protein, repectively. These results suggest that the decrease in affinity of [³H] DHA to β-adrenergic receptor in dog ventricle is mainly due to fast dissociation from the receptor.
Social Inequities in the Survival of Liver Cancer: A Nationwide Cohort Study in Korea, 2007–2017

Background: To analyze the effects of socioeconomic status (type of insurance and income level) and cancer stage on the survival of patients with liver cancer in Korea. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was constructed using data from the Healthcare Big Data Platform project in Korea between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2017. A total of 143,511 patients in Korea diagnosed with liver cancer (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision [ICD-10] codes C22, C220, and C221) were followed for an average of 11 years. Of these, 110,443 died. The patient’s insurance type and income level were used as indicators of socioeconomic status. Unadjusted and adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using a Cox proportional hazards regression model to analyze the relationship between the effects of sex, age, and cancer stage at first diagnosis (Surveillance, Epidemiology, and the End Results; SEER), type of insurance, and income level on the survival of patients with liver cancer. The interactive effects of the type of insurance, income level, and cancer stage on liver cancer death were also analyzed. Results: The lowest income group (medical aid) showed a higher risk for mortality (HR (95% CI); 1.37 (1.27–1.47) for all patients, 1.44 (1.32–1.57) for men, and 1.16 (1.01–1.34) for women) compared to the highest income group (1–6) among liver cancer (ICD-10 code C22) patients. The risk of liver cancer death was also higher in the lowest income group with a distant cancer stage (SEER = 7) diagnosis than for any other group. Conclusion: Liver cancer patients with lower socioeconomic status and more severe cancer stages were at greater risk of death. Reducing social inequalities is needed to improve mortality rates among patients in lower social class groups who present with advanced cancer.

Acteoside is a phenylpropanoid glycoside extracted from the leaves of Rehmannia glutinosa that displays various biological activities. In this study, we tested the effects of acteoside on tyrosinase activity and melanin biosynthesis in B16F10 melanoma cells. We also explored molecular mechanisms for the inhibition of melanogenesis observed, focusing on the signalling pathway of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK).
