Maize hybrids were planted on April 1, April 25, May 20 and June 15 in 2012, 2013 at the experimental paddy and upland fields in Suwon city , respectively to know changes of growth stage and yield according to different planting time. Maize planting on April 1 was not recommended because total growing days at planting on April 1 was not different with that at planting on April 25 due to many days from planting to emergence over 20 days at planting on April 1. Total growing days were not much different among three planting time after April 25 because days from silking to maturity was lengthened though days from planting to silking was shortened at later planting time. Stalk weight was decreased as planting time was delayed, particularly at planting times after May 20 at paddy field by excess water injury during early growth stage. But, grain yield was not low as in May and June. It is needed to introduce early maturity maize variety as Yanganok at late planting for higher grain yield and enough time for soil preparation for next winter crops
白信愛 小說 硏究 : 女性리얼리즘의 樣相 Aspects of Female Realism
徐正子 숙명여자대학교 대학원원우회 1984 원우논총 Vol.2 No.-
Shin Ac Paik produced works in (the 1930's,) and her novels have an important meaning in the intellectual history of woman: Her works were written in the age when writing was the sole area for woman's intellectual activity and with enough temporal distance from the present days to understand the modern era. Different from the other female writers of her time, Paik had not experienced much of new education and studied mainly on the traditional Chinese literature, but paradoxically enough, she chose as her own the opposite of the traditional life of woman. Namely, she frequently went away from home for adventurous life in the new world, that is, in Siberia, Japan, and Shanghai She also participated in the movement of woman's enlightenment. She was a misogamist and underwent a divorce, too. Such biographical facts are helpful to understand her literary world, centering the search for realities of woman's life and its entailing problems. Her works show characteristics of female writers, consciousness of woman in the era transferring to the modern. There are aspects of female realism and the dialectic of tradition and revolt. Recognition on the present and aspects of female realism through woman's ambivalence are summarized as follows: 1. Paik showed tragic conception of the traditional woman's life and indicated that woman's tragic destiny was deeply rooted in the marriage system within the male dominant society. In "Bok Sun Ee," "So Dok Boo (Little Vampire)," "Kwang In Il Ki (Diary of the Mad)," and "Sik Kon (Langor)," she issued questions against woman's life decided by the condition of the husband. 2. While the traditional woman resigned themselves to the given life, the new women, to make firm self-consciousness, resisted against "defeatism" and advanced toward the open world. Here the point is that what the heroines were seeking for was not money nor profession but the realization on the present condition of Korea under colonialism, and the longing for chances to fulfill their dream, to receive further new education. "Na Eui Eomuni (My Mother)," "Keoraiee (Korean)," "Nag Oh (Defeat)," and "Hon Myung Eh Seo (In the Darkness)" are works of the theme. 3. Delineating woman's life, the author saw through woman's ambivalence, and with acute sensibilities portrayed the inner world of woman. The heroine of "Jeog Bin (Destitution)" is one example of the mother of the Korean tradition, and Soonhee. the heroine of "Al. Reum Da Eun Noh Eu (Beautifull Sunset)," and her human declaration as a woman is another instant of revolt against the traditional discipline focusing on the mother. These straight-forward(revelation) of the ambivalence of feminism and maternity was a very bold approach in the literary level of her age, and it is si ill evaluated audacious even now. As summaried above, Shin Ae Paik showed through her works some aspects of female realism. For her concentrated concern on the woman's predicaments, the epithet of Professor Chul Paik that she was an immature writer as "her passionate character was beyond the capacity of literature" is not proper. "Destitution" and "Beautiful Sunset" are excellent works to be included in the main stream of our literary history. In the Thesis, Shin Ae Paik is shown as a writer to take a prominent position in the history of woman's literature. If she had lived a little longer, she could have developed wider and characteristic literature. It is regretful that she should die young.
李善熙 小說 硏究 : 人物의 三角構造와 象徵을 中心으로 Centering on Symbols and Triangular Structure of Characters
徐正子 숙명여자대학교 대학원원우회 1985 원우논총 Vol.3 No.-
Lee Sun-Hee (1911-1949?) was a female writer who made her debut in the later years of the 1930's and produced works till the 1940's. Beginning her literary career as a magazine reporter, Lee produced 16 novels and 40 essays and miscellanies, but there still has been no serious studies on her literary world. Just some fragmentary records are found of her life with no detailed description, and the year of her death is not yet identified. With the growth of pure literature under the social and literary conditions of the 1930's, Lee developed her literary world in the position of pure literature. Her literary achievement deserves an important position in the history of Korean literature for her characteristics of sensitivity and aestheticism; in fact, however, being a female writer, she is not yet regarded as a major writer worthy of serious research. This thesis tries to analyse her world view through examining the structure and symbol of her works. Theories of mythological criticism, psychological criticism, and principles of symbol and image are employed for the analysis. The following are the conclusions of the approach. 1. The structure of characters in Lee Sun-Hee's novels is triangular. It is the repetitive representation of the structure of Whan-woong, Woong-nye (Bear-woman), and Ho (Tiger) of the Dan-Kun myth. 2. Woong-nye is an archetype of adaptation, perseverance, sincerity, and restored self-identity, making a good contrast with the negative, dissipated, and insincere tiger-type which fails to resume its self-identity. 3. The characters of Lee's novels reveals the confrontation of these two archetypal characters through the oppositional structure, in which the tiger-type women are the protagonists. 4. It is one of Lee's literary features that, contrary to the old novels with the Woong-nye type women-protagonists as good characters, the characters are round-characters of the tiger-type. 5. It is remarkable that female characters of the tiger-type represent so-called New Women, and it can also be understood as a reflexion of the consciousness (and the characteristic) of the time. 6. The Woong-nye type women are Old Women (antagonists) and they suffer hardships and make their home their sole world. The tiger-type women, the New Women (Protagonists), regard home as a place of repression and conflicts and escape from it like tigers. 7. It is to the sea and darkness that the tiger-type women get coming out of their home. The sea and darkness symbolize death, which means that their attempt to escape from home cannot overcome the moral limit of the age. Here is revealed the tragic vision of the literary world of Lee Sun-Hee.
姜敬愛硏究 : 새로운 評價를 위한 試考 A Revaluational Approach to her Works

The writer Kang-Kyung Ae started her writing in this literary environment. In almost all the studies of her works, great emphasis has been placed on the aspect of her technique of attaining realism and social characteristics. However, I think the very substance of her works lies in her concern in humanism. This article attempts to illuminate the theme of her works from the standpoint of humanism, resulting in the following conclusions; 1) Her literature on poverty is radically different from the others, i.e, her works are based on the spirit of humanism, while those of Choi Seo Hae are not. 2) The works of the latter have tendency to Marxian Ideology. As she criticized the blind following of the Marxian world view prevailing among her contemporaries, we cannot conclude that her works belong to Tendency Literature. But a sort of sturdiness is implicit in these works, which has resulted from her imitation of "Methodology on writing" (創作方法論) of proletarian Literature. 3) But this sturdiness became diluted and disappeard when she began to unfold humanism, it means that collective unconsciousness of rescuring her contemporary society, which had been her matter of concern in literature, was replaced by individual consciousness of relieving human nature. It is through this replacement that her literature reached its peak of sublimation. 4) She described realistically the tragedy of the up-rooted who lost their homes and were compelled to leave for Kan-do(間島). I regard a revaluation of her literary works, proper and objective, as a needed task given to us.

2 week study was conducted to investigate the effects of Interferential Current(IC) and Kaltenborn-Evjenth Orthopedic Manual Therapy(KEOMT) on functional constipation. Interventions were applied to spinal segments between T9-L2 which provides innerva˗ tions to the gastrointestinal tract. Subjects(n=24) were randomly allo˗ cated to two treatment groups: the IC group or the KEOMT group. Results for the IC therapy demonstrated significant decrease with the colonic transit time(CTT) as well as scores on the constipation assessment scale(CAS). The frequency of defecations per week had increased significantly(p<0.05). The KEOMT displayed decreased CTT in the left colon region. The scores on the CAS were reduced and frequency of defecations per week had increased significantly (p<0.05). This study not only showed that both modes of therapy improved symptoms of constipation, but also optimized gastrointesti˗ nal content movement, eventuating in a more normalized CTT. In conclusion, both the IC therapy and the Kaltenborn-Evjenth Orthopedic Manual Therapy have shown to be effective interventions for improving functional constipation.
