A Study on Usage Behavior of Influencers by College Students

        Sanghee Park(Sanghee Park),Kiyoon Kim(Kiyoon Kim) J-INSTITUTE 2022 Public Value Vol.7 No.2

Purpose: This study aims to explore the various influencing factors that influencer channel characteristics have on users, targeting university students who are the main users of various social media after the pandemic. Method: in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 college students to investigate their influencer usage behaviors, explore factors affecting their use, and develop a related research model. Results: First of all, in the early days of using content, they encountered content for reasons such as topicality, information, friend recommendation, and curiosity, and there was a tendency to select content based on similar tastes through algorithm and friend recommendation. In particular, the highly topical contents of influencers recommended by friends played an important role in forming peer culture with friends. It was found that sincerity and candor revealed in the content were important factors influencing the period when an influencer's channel was subscribed and used continuously and intimacy was formed. When they felt their sincerity and honesty, they realized that they were different from other influencers and continued to watch them. It was found that the interaction factor plays a decisive role in forming intimacy with influencers and contin-uously using the channel for more than 3 months, forming a fandom and recommending content to others. Conclusion: This usage behavior of college students has great implications for companies that want to pro-mote and market through the influencer channel. As the factors that affect users vary depending on when they use the influencer channel, a promotional strategy that reflects this is needed. In addition, as integrity and hon-esty are important factors in building users' trust, it should be given more important value than anything else in maintaining and managing channels.

      • Preoperative Evaluation of Living Donor Candidate for Liver Transplantation

        ( Sanghee Song ),( Ok Kyung Kim ),( Myung Eun Lee ),( Jin Yong Choi ),( Hyeyoung Kim ),( Sung-woo Ahn ),( Hyo-sin Kim ),( Kyung Chul Yoon ),( Suk Kyun Hong ),( Nam-joon Yi ),( Kwang-woong Lee ),( Kyun 대한간학회 2016 춘·추계 학술대회 (KASL) Vol.2016 No.1

The downside of living donor liver transplantation, of course, is the risk to the healthy donor. For the donor safety, preoperativeevaluation of donor is important and it should be included psychosocial and ethical issues as well as medical suitability. Here,we introduce a preoperative evaluation of living donor candidate for liver transplantation. Since 2011 our institution`s protocolwas introduced, this three-step evaluation protocol have been used in our center (Fig.1). At Step1, the medical examination ofcandidate for donor by interview includes the medical history, psychosocial circumstance and age; usually 16-60 years. The relationshipbetween the recipient and donor should be within the third degree of consanguinity or an intense emotional relationshipjudged by ethical board of local committee. At Step 2, potential donor undergoes tests two phase medical evaluation, ethicalevaluation and document process. First phase medical evaluation includes basic blood and urine profile, Liver CT scan forgraft/remnant volume of liver, ECG and chest X-ray. Second phase medical evaluation includes viral and neoplastic disease andimaging studies, especially primovist MRI and MRCP, for anatomy and quality of the liver include the degree of fatty change. If necessary, the invasive procedures including liver biopsy and additional consultations required to investigate the potential problemsdiscovered during phases 1 and 2 are done. At Step 3, the multidisciplinary team discuss about donor and decide thedonation. A preoperative liver biopsy was applied to the moderate steatosis from imaging studies. The presence of mild systemicdiseases (e.g., well-controlled hypertension or diabetes) cannot be a contraindication in our protocol. The donors are disciplinedto quit smoking and drinking. The remnant liver volume ≥ 30% of the whole liver is recommended. If macrovesicular steatosisis ≥ 10%, we do liver biopsy and recommend diet control. Donors with a GRWR > 0.8% were generally accepted. Usually minimalanantomical variation of the liver has been accepted. Only candidate who passed these all examination, can be a donor for livertransplantation. This detailed evaluation undoubtedly play a role in our successful living donor liver transplantation program, and there was no donor mortality and the overall donor morbidity was < 6.0%, including 0.9% of major complications (> gradeIII). In conclusion, meticulous donor evaluation is important for the successful LDLT.

Assessment of lower incisor alveolar bone width using cone-beam computed tomography images in skeletal Class III adults of different vertical patterns

        Sanghee Lee,Soonshin Hwang,Woowon Jang,Yoon Jeong Choi,Chooryung J Chung,Kyung-Ho Kim 대한치과교정학회 2018 대한치과교정학회지 Vol.48 No.6

Objective: This study was performed to investigate the alveolar bone of lower incisors in skeletal Class III adults of different vertical facial patterns and to compare it with that of Class I adults using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. Methods: CBCT images of 90 skeletal Class III and 29 Class I patients were evaluated. Class III subjects were divided by mandibular plane angle: high (SN-MP 〉 38.0°), normal (30.0° 〈 SN-MP 〈 37.0°), and low (SN- MP 〈 28.0°) groups. Buccolingual alveolar bone thickness was measured using CBCT images of mandibular incisors at alveolar crest and 3, 6, and 9 mm apical levels. Linear mixed model, Bonferroni post-hoc test, and Pearson correlation analysis were used for statistical significance. Results: Buccolingual alveolar bone in Class III high, normal and low angle subjects was not significantly different at alveolar crest and 3 mm apical level while lingual bone was thicker at 6 and 9 mm apical levels than on buccal side. Class III high angle group had thinner alveolar bone at all levels except at buccal alveolar crest and 9 mm apical level on lingual side compared to the Class I group. Class III high angle group showed thinner alveolar bone than the Class III normal or low angle groups in most regions. Mandibular plane angle showed negative correlations with mandibular anterior alveolar bone thickness. Conclusions: Skeletal Class III subjects with high mandibular plane angles showed thinner mandibular alveolar bone in most areas compared to normal or low angle subjects. Mandibular plane angle was negatively correlated with buccolingual alveolar bone thickness.

Sanghee Lee,Kang-Hyun Jo 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2021 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.19 No.1

This work introduces a novel approach to extract meaningful content information from video by collaborative integration of image understanding and natural language processing. We developed a person browser systemthat associates faces and overlaid name texts in videos. This approach takes news videos as a knowledge source, then automatically extracts face and assoicated name text as content information. The proposed framework consistsof the text detection module, the face detection module, and the person indexing database module. The successfulresults of person extraction reveal that the proposed methodology of integrated use of image understanding techniques and natural language processing technique is headed in the right direction to achieve our goal of accessingreal content of multimedia information

      • Cyber risk measurement via loss distribution approach and GARCH model

Sanghee Kim,Seongjoo Song 한국통계학회 2023 Communications for statistical applications and me Vol.30 No.1

The growing trend of cyber risk has put forward the importance of cyber risk management. Cyber risk is defined as an accidental or intentional risk related to information and technology assets. Although cyber risk is a subset of operational risk, it is reported to be handled differently from operational risk due to its different features of the loss distribution. In this study, we aim to detect the characteristics of cyber loss and find a suitable model by measuring value at risk (VaR). We use the loss distribution approach (LDA) and the time series model to describe cyber losses of financial and non-financial business sectors, provided in SAS® OpRisk Global Data. Peaks over threshold (POT) method is also incorporated to improve the risk measurement. For the financial sector, the LDA and GARCH model with POT perform better than those without POT, respectively. The same result is obtained for the non-financial sector, although the differences are not significant. We also build a two-dimensional model reflecting the dependence structure between financial and non-financial sectors through a bivariate copula and check the model adequacy through VaR.

Occupational stress and related factors among surgical residents in Korea

Sanghee Kang,Hye Sung Jo,Yoon Jung Boo,Ji Sung Lee,Chong Suk Kim 대한외과학회 2015 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.89 No.5

Purpose: The application rate for surgical residents in Korea has continuously decreased over the past few years. The demanding workload and the occupational stress of surgical training are likely causes of this problem. The aim of this study was to investigate occupational stress and its related factors in Korean surgical residents. Methods: With the support of the Korean Surgical Society, we conducted an electronic survey of Korean surgical residents related to occupational stress. We used the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) to measure occupational stress. We analyzed the data focused on the stress level and the factors associated with occupational stress. Results: The mean KOSS score of the surgical residents was 55.39, which was significantly higher than that of practicing surgeons (48.16, P < 0.001) and the average score of specialized professionals (46.03, P < 0.001). Exercise was the only factor found to be significantly associated with KOSS score (P = 0.001) in univariate analysis. However, in multiple linear regression analysis, the mean number of assigned patients, resident occupation rate and exercise were all significantly associated with KOSS score. Conclusion: Surgical residents have high occupational stress compared to practicing surgeons and other professionals. Their mean number of assigned patients, resident recruitment rate and exercise were all significantly associated with occupational stress for surgical residents.

The Effects of Task Repetition on Korean High School Students’ Acquisition of Formulaic Sequences

        ( Sanghee Kang ) 글로벌영어교육학회(구 호남영어교육학회) 2017 Studies in English education Vol.22 No.4

This study attempts to explore the effects of task repetition on English language learners’ acquisition of formulaic sequences (FSs) in written production by taking a pretest-posttest design. To this end, three intact classes (n=82) participated in the study and each class was randomly assigned one of three groups: one control group and two experimental groups (i.e., procedural repetition and task repetition). All participants took a pretest and a posttest and received twenty-minute explicit instruction on 27 predetermined FSs after the pretest. The task repetition group completed the identical writing task twice and the procedural repetition group repeated two writing tasks with different topics. Production of the predetermined FSs in participants’ writings from the pretest and the posttest were analyzed in terms of complexity, accuracy, and fluency. Findings suggest that the procedural group produced more accurate FSs and the task repetition group did not. While both the task repetition and the procedural repetition groups demonstrated significant increase in the number of supplied FSs (i.e., fluency), neither group benefitted from task repetition treatment in terms of complexity. The pedagogical implications and the role of task repetition are discussed in terms of instruction of FSs.
