Phosphoric acid and pH sensors based on polyaniline films

Polyaniline (PANI)-chemically coated the electrode of quartz-crystal microbalance (QCM) has been developed for the determination of phosphoric acid (H3PO4) in the liquid phase. The sensing mechanism is based on the fact that the QCM devices produce a change in the oscillating frequency when the PANI coating the electrode of QCM interacts with different concentration of the acid. This was made during the subsequent redoping.dedoping processes of the PANI film in acid and ammonia solutions, respectively. Also,this was made during the successive redoping in different acid solutions. The QCM sensor demonstrated a rapid response to the acid with an excellent reversibility. A linear response of the sensor for different concentrations of H3PO4 was found in region of ≤1 M. The conductivity at different concentration of the acid was also determined. Finally, pH dependence on the electronic absorption of PANI phosphate film was studied which indicates that the film can be used as a sensor over a wider pH range of 3.12. This is in comparison to a PANI-sulphate film which shows limited pH absorption dependence (5.8).

This study aimed at comparing the performance of statistically downscaling Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) 3B43 Version 7 and Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) 3IMERGM Version 6 precipitation data from 25 km and 10 km resolutions, respectively, to 1 km resolution using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) MOD13A3 Version 6 Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data. Simple linear regression (SLR) and geographically weighted regression (GWR) were applied in a typical semi-arid to arid country—Jordan—using data for the year 2015. It was observed that all statistically downscaled outputs exhibited almost similar spatial distribution patterns. These patterns captured the typical decreasing behavior of precipitation in the country from northwest to south and east. They also provided more spatial detail of precipitation information than their raw counterparts. Unscaled and scaled validation measures of bias, precision, and accuracy relied on precipitation data for the year 2015 obtained from 137 rain gauges distributed all over the country revealed that: (1) GWR produced better results than SLR, (2) statistically downscaling GPM 3IMERGM Version 6 precipitation data outperformed statistically downscaling TRMM 3B43 Version 7 precipitation data, and (3) although, all statistically downscaled precipitation outputs overestimated rain gauge precipitation data, this overestimation was larger in the statistically downscaled TRMM 3B43 Version 7 precipitation outputs than in the statistically downscaled GPM 3IMERGM Version 6 precipitation outputs.

The photoelectric efects on the instability of the current-driven dust ion-acoustic (DIA) waves in a collisional and streaming dusty plasmas are theoretically investigated using fuid model with dust charge fuctuation considering dust grains as negatively charged. It is found that the photoelectric efects through dust charge fuctuation give the growth of the DIA waves beside the damping efects of collision and streaming of the plasma species. Growth rate of the DIA waves are numerically investigated using the values of appropriate plasma parameters.

In this paper, we consider a new class of generalized mixed vector equilibrium-like problems in Banach spaces. By using Fan-KKM Theorem and Nadler's Theorem, we prove the existence theorem of solution for this class of generalized mixed vector equilibrium-like problems.
