Seungjun Baek,Hyunjin Ahn,Hyunsik Ryu,Ilku Nam,Deokgi An,Doo-Hyouk Choi,Mun-Sub Byun,Minsu Jeong,Bo-Eun Kim,Ockgoo Lee 한국전자파학회JEES 2017 Journal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science Vol.17 No.1
A fully integrated dual-band CMOS power amplifier (PA) is developed for 802.11n WLAN applications using wafer-level package (WLP) technology. This paper presents a detailed design for the optimal impedance of dual-band PA (2 GHz/5 GHz PA) output transformers with low loss, which is provided by using 2:2 and 2:1 output transformers for the 2 GHz PA and the 5 GHz PA, respectively. In addition, several design issues in the dual-band PA design using WLP technology are addressed, and a design method is proposed. All considerations for the design of dual-band WLP PA are fully reflected in the design procedure. The 2 GHz WLP CMOS PA produces a saturated power of 26.3 dBm with a peak power-added efficiency (PAE) of 32.9%. The 5 GHz WLP CMOS PA produces a saturated power of 24.7 dBm with a PAE of 22.2%. The PA is tested using an 802.11n signal, which satisfies the stringent error vector magnitude (EVM) and mask requirements. It achieved an EVM of -28 dB at an output power of 19.5 dBm with a PAE of 13.1% at 2.45 GHz and an EVM of -28 dB at an output power of 18.1 dBm with a PAE of 8.9% at 5.8 GHz.

This study suggests an alternative for solving quality-of-life problems of an aging workforce by seeking ways to utilize an aging workforce in corporations and society. This research empirically analyzed data from the 6th panel data of aging. Study results are as follows. First, it was confirmed that job satisfaction of aging manpower plays a mediating role in the relationship between quality of life and the job characteristics of an aging workforce. Second, it was found that the wage level of regular workers had a significant effect on job satisfaction and quality of life, and the job satisfaction of regular workers was mediated between wage level and quality of life. On the other hand, the wage level of non-regular workers did not have any effect on job satisfaction and quality of life. The results of this study suggest the necessity for companies to recognize the use of an aging workforce to improve social value. Furthermore, our results provide implications for domestic firms and government policymakers on how to use a domestic aging workforce and how to utilize regular and non-regular workers.

Macrophages are versatile immune cells that play crucial roles in tissue repair, immune defense, and the regulation of immune responses. In the context of skeletal muscle, they are vital for maintaining muscle homeostasis but macrophage-induced chronic inflammation can lead to muscle dysfunction, resulting in skeletal muscle atrophy characterized by reduced muscle mass and impaired insulin regulation and glucose uptake. Although the involvement of macrophage-secreted factors in inflammation-induced muscle atrophy is well-established, the precise intracellular signaling pathways and secretion factors affecting skeletal muscle homeostasis require further investigation. This study aimed to explore the regulation of macrophage-secreted factors and their impact on muscle atrophy and glucose metabolism. By employing RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) and proteome array, we uncovered that factors secreted by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated macrophages upregulated markers of muscle atrophy and pro-inflammatory cytokines, while concurrently reducing glucose uptake in muscle cells. The RNA-seq analysis identified alterations in gene expression patterns associated with immune system pathways and nutrient metabolism. The utilization of gene ontology (GO) analysis and proteome array with macrophage-conditioned media revealed the involvement of macrophage-secreted cytokines and chemokines associated with muscle atrophy. These findings offer valuable insights into the regulatory mechanisms of macrophage-secreted factors and their contributions to muscle-related diseases.
A Linear InGaP/GaAs HBT Power Amplifier Using Parallel-Combined Transistors With IMD3 Cancellation
Baek, Seungjun,Ahn, Hyunjin,Nam, Ilku,Ryu, Namsik,Lee, Hui Dong,Park, Bonghyuk,Lee, Ockgoo THE INSTITUTE OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS 2016 IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters Vol. No.
<P>In this letter, we present a linear InGaP/GaAs HBT power amplifier (PA) with parallel-combined transistors for small-cell applications. Ballast resistors with bypass resistors and capacitors are employed in parallel-combined transistors. When the resistors and capacitors are set to appropriate values, IMD3 components of the parallel-combined transistors are found to be out of phase with each other by 180. and are canceled out at the output. The experimental results show that the proposed HBT PA with parallel-combined transistors produces a saturated output power of 33.5 dBm at 0.88 GHz, with a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 46.1% at a 5-V supply voltage. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed HBT PA for linearity improvement, the implemented PA is also tested with a long-term evolution (LTE) signal (8.1-dB PAPR with 10-MHz bandwidth). The proposed PA achieves an adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) below -45 dBc at an average power of 25.6 dBm with a PAE of 18.8% without applying predistortion.</P>

Seo Kwanghyun,Ryu Seungjun,Jeong Saebomi,Kang Hee-Tae,Kim Sung-Kyung,Koh Sang-Baek,Jeong Kyoung Sook,Oh Sung-Soo 대한직업환경의학회 2023 대한직업환경의학회지 Vol.35 No.1
Background: Work-Family Conflict means that the demands of work and family roles cannot be met simultaneously, so one cannot concentrate on one’s work or family role. This conflict can negatively affect mental health and cause insomnia symptoms. Methods: This study was conducted on 20,442 subjects. Insomnia symptoms were assessed using the Minimal Insomnia Symptom Scale, and other variables were assessed using the questionnaire method. Logistic regression analyses were performed to evaluate the effect of Work-Family Conflict on insomnia symptoms, and subgroup logistic regression analyses were also performed. Results: The number of people with insomnia symptoms was 4,322 (15.1%). Compared with Low Work-Family Conflict, the odds ratios (ORs) for the risk of insomnia symptoms were 1.84 (95% confidence interval: 1.56–2.16) in High work-to-family conflict, 1.16 (1.02–1.32) in High family-to-work conflict, and 3.19 (2.87–3.55) in High Work-Family Conflict. The ORs were higher for men than women in High WFC but higher for women than men in High Work-Family Conflict. Conclusions: The risk of insomnia symptoms was highest in High Work-Family Conflict.

Although typically classified as AIS 1, whiplash injuries continue to represent a substantial social problem with associated costs estimated at over $1 billion annually. The primary objective of this study was to determine the effects of seat positions(seatback angle, headrest height) on risk for whiplash injury in low speed(ΔV=4~10㎞/h) rear-end impact. To accomplish this, rear impact seat carriage tests and simulations were conducted using the BioRID-Ⅱ dummy seated in a mass production seat, which allowed for the adjustment of seatback angle and headrest height. Neck injury criteria(NIC, N㎞) were then compared for different ΔV and seat positions.
