Background: The ligand for CD137 (CD137L; also called 4-1BBL) is mainly expressed on activated APCs such as dendritic cells, B cells and macrophages. Even though CD137L functions as a trigger of the CD137 signaling pathway for T cell activation and expansion, engagement of CD137L can deliver a signal leading to the production of proinflammatory cytokines in macrophages. Methods: We generated cell-permeable TAT-CD137L cytoplasmic domain fusion protein (TAT-CD137Lct) and examined its ability to initiate the CD137L reverse signaling pathway. Results: Treatment of TAT-CD137Lct induced the production of high levels of IL-6 and TNF-${\alpha}$ mRNAs and proteins in peritoneal macrophages. TAT-CD137Lct increased phosphorylation of Erk, p38 MAPK and Jnk, and activated transcription factors C/EBP and CREB. However, TAT-CD137Lct did not visibly affect the degradation of the inhibitor of NF-${\kappa}B$ ($IkB{\alpha}$). We further demonstrated that JNK activation was required for TAT-CD137Lct-induced production of TNF-${\alpha}$, while activation of Erk and p38 MAPK were involved in IL-6 and TNF-${\alpha}$ production. Conclusion: Our results suggest that TATCD137Lct is an effective activator for the CD137L reverse signaling pathway.

<P>A honeycomb-like NiMoO4 nanoporous network electrode was synthesized on nickel foam using an electrodeposition method and used for the fabrication of asymmetric supercapacitors (ASCs). The growth process of the NiMoO4 nanostructure was controlled by varying the number of electrochemical cycles. The evolution of the NiMoO4 nanoflakes with the electrochemical cycles was confirmed by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The supercapacitive properties of NiMoO4 nanostructure were measured by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The well-grown NiMoO4 nanoporous network exhibited a highest specific capacitance of 1475 F g−1 at a current density of 1 A g−1 in an aqueous KOH electrolyte with a good rate capability of 72.8% when the current density was increased 20 fold. The nanoporous network also exhibited a capacitive retention of 87.9% after 5000 charge-discharge cycles at a fixed current density of 20 A g−1. A NiMoO4//reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-based solid state ASC was fabricated using a poly(vinyl alcohol)-KOH gel electrolyte. The NiMoO4//rGO ASC delivered a maximum energy density of 45 W h kg−1 and a power density of 14.5 kW kg−1 as well as an electrochemical stability of 84% after 5000 cycles, highlighting the potential of NiMoO4//rGO ASCs for portable electronic applications.</P>
Oxidize Graphene by UV-Ozone Treatment in Vacuum Chamber

<P>As changing graphene properties is vital to promote it as electronic device, we developed graphene modified method with epoxy group by two simple methods: ultraviolet irradiation with various partial oxygen pressures and ultraviolet irradiation under rich oxygen condition with various temperatures. By Hall measurement, the electric mobility in graphene was decreased with increasing temperature during UV-ozone treatment at 50 degrees C, 80 degrees C, 100 degrees C and 120 degrees C. At low partial oxygen pressure (less than 160 Torr) the oxidation degree is not significant. Additionally, Raman spectroscopy showed the disrupted pi-pi structure in graphene. Based on the above identification we supposed that epoxy group might establish on graphene surface.</P>
A multi-core compound droplet passing through a diffuser channel
Dang T. Bui,Hung V. Vu,Quang D. Nguyen,Truong V. Vu 대한기계학회 2021 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.35 No.11
This study‘s aim is to improve the understanding of the dynamical behavior of a multi-core compound droplet traveling in an axisymmetric channel consisting of a diffuser element. The compound droplet typically consisting of two inner droplets distributed one after another is initially located at a certain distance from the entrance of the channel. A front-tracking method is used to handle the movement and deformation of the droplet. The numerical simulation results show that the compound droplet is stretched in the channel, and it takes a certain time,“the transit time”, to pass through the diffuser. The compound droplet has the largest deformation in the diffuser region and tends to return to its nearly original shape after leaving the diffuser. The deformation and transit time of the compound droplet are affected by some typical parameters, such as the capillary number and the diffuser angle. For small capillary numbers, the leading inner droplet takes a shorter transit time than the rear one does. The transit time also increases with an increase in the diffuser angle and the number of inner droplets enclosed in the compound droplet.
Vietnamese Health Care Providers' Preferences Regarding Recommendation of HPV Vaccines

Physician recommendation is an important predictor of HPV vaccine acceptance; however, physician willingness and preferences regarding HPV vaccination may be influenced by factors including patient age, vaccine type, and cost. A cross-sectional survey was administered to a convenience sample of health care providers in Da Nang, Vietnam, to evaluate awareness, perceptions about HPV and HPV vaccines, and willingness to vaccinate a female patient. Willingness to vaccinate was evaluated using a full-factorial presentation of scenarios featuring the following factors: vaccine cost (free vs 1,000,000 VND), patient age (12, 16, or 22 years), and HPV vaccine type (bivalent vs quadrivalent). Responses from 244 providers were analyzed; providers had a mean age of $34{\pm}11.9$ years; a majority were female, married, and had children of their own. Thirty-six percent specialized in obstetrics/gynecology and 24% were providers in family medicine. Of the three factors considered in conjoint analysis, vaccine cost was the most important factor in willingness to vaccinate, followed by patient age, and vaccine type. The most favorable scenario for vaccinating a female patient was when the vaccine was free, the patient was 22 years of age, and the HPV4 vaccine was described. In multivariable analysis, older age, being a physician, being married, and having children were all associated with increased willingness to recommend HPV vaccination (p<0.05). Provider willingness is an important aspect of successful HPV vaccination programs; identifying preferences and biases in recommendation patterns will highlight potential areas for education and intervention.
