Web Inspection Algorithm for Low Contrast Paper Defects Based on Artificial Bee Colony Optimization

Traditional paper defect detection algorithms have the problems of low detection rate and poor anti-interference ability for low contrast paper defects such as cracks and folds. Considering these problems, an algorithm of low contrast paper defects based on artificial bee colony optimization was presented. Firstly, the Gabor filter was used to eliminate the texture elements and enhance the contrast. Then, the optimal segmentation threshold of 2-D OSTU was obtained by taking the trace of the dispersion matrix of the filtered paper disease image as the objective function of the artificial swarm optimization. Finally, according to the best segmentation threshold, the paper image was detected by 2-D OSTU method. The simulation results indicated that this algorithm has the advantages of high detection rate, accurate positioning and good anti-disturbance performance for low contrast paper defects.
Control Method for Grid-Connected/Islanding Switching of Hybrid AC/DC Microgrid

For hybrid AC/DC microgrid (HMG) under master–slave control strategy, DGs usually adopt constant power control (P control) in gird-connected mode and at least one DG adopts constant voltage control (V control) in islanding mode. However, when unplanned islanding happens, the voltage and current of the HMG will experience remarkable fluctuations, which affects the system’s stability. This paper presents a control method to achieve smooth switching from grid-connected to islanding mode by introducing state tracking control between P control and V control. The state tracking control can make the current reference signal of the V control track that of the P control in grid-connected mode. When unplanned islanding happens, the mutation of the current reference signal can be tuned into a smooth transition by the voltage loop’s PI controller, and the transient oscillations can be eliminated to realize smooth switching. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by simulation results using MATLAB/Simulink.

본문은 우선 상고시기의 魚部가 중고 시기까지 어떤 변화를 거쳤는지 또한 魚部와 관련된 운부 간의 변화를 같이 살펴보았다. 그리고 근대 시기의 魚韻과 模韻의 합류 및 대립 과정을 고찰하였다. 중고 시기의 魚韻이 근대 시기의 撮口呼까지 어떤 변화과정을 거쳤고 서양인과 조선 역관들이 기록한 문헌 중의 전사음, 만주어의 전사음을 통해 [y]의 생성 시기를 밝혔다. 마지막으로 현대 중국어 표준어 중의 [ye]의 생성과 근대 撮口呼 중 知章系(日母자 포함) 글자들이 [u]와의 合流 시기를 밝혔다. 撮口呼의 생성과 知章系(日母자 포함) 글자들의 변화 과정이 아주 복잡하여 본문은 시작 단계의 시도를 했을 뿐, 앞으로 이 문제들에 대해 계속 연구해 나가겠다.

Background: Renal-cell carcinoma (RCC) is resistant to almost all chemotherapeutics and radiation therapy. ${\beta}$-Elemene, a promising anticancer drug extracted from a traditional Chinese medicine, has been shown to be effective against various tumors. In the present study, anti-tumor effects on RCC cells and the involved mechanisms were investigated. Methods: Human RCC 786-0 cells were treated with different concentrations of ${\beta}$-elemene, and cell viability and apoptosis were measured by 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and flow cytometry, respectively. Protein expression was assayed by western blotting. Autophagy was evaluated by transmission electron microscopy. Results: ${\beta}$-Elemene inhibited the viability of 786-0 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner. The anti-tumor effect was associated with induction of apoptosis. Further study showed that ${\beta}$-elemene inhibited the MAPK/ERK as well as PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathways. Moreover, robust autophagy was observed in cells treated with ${\beta}$-elemene. Combined treatment of ${\beta}$-elemene with autophagy inhibitors 3-methyladenine or chlorochine significantly enhanced the anti-tumor effects. Conclusions: Our data provide first evidence that ${\beta}$-elemene can inhibit the proliferation of RCC 786-0 cells by inducing apoptosis as well as protective autophagy. The anti-tumor effect was associated with the inhibition of MAPK/ERK and PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathway. Inhibition of autophagy might be a useful way to enhance the anti-tumor effect of ${\beta}$-elemene on 786-0 cells.
