Integration of two metallurgically distinct materials (bimetallic) is an inevitable advancement in the automotive andmarine field. In this context, this study investigates the fabrication, characterization, and properties of solid–liquid compoundcast aluminum alloy AA5052 and ferrous alloy (mild steel and galvanized iron) based bimetallic materials. Microstructuralevolution, microhardness, and tensile strength of the developed bimetallic material are investigated. The results show thatthe formation of cracks at the interface in AA5052/Mild Steel caused the joint failure in the course of preliminary testing. InAA5052/Galvanized Iron, the growth of intermetallics at the oxide-free steel surface results in a shear strength of 19.9 MPa. XRD analysis attests to the presence of brittle intermetallics and Al bond at the interface of AA5052/Galvanized Iron bimetallicmaterial, which in turn confirms the development of a metallurgical.
Vocal Fold Injection: Review of Indications, Techniques, and Materials for Augmentation
Pavan S. Mallur,Clark A. Rosen 대한이비인후과학회 2010 Clinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology Vol.3 No.4
Vocal fold injection is a procedure that has over a 100 year history but was rarely done as short as 20 years ago. A renaissance has occurred with respect to vocal fold injection due to new technologies (visualization and materials) and new injection approaches. Awake, un-sedated vocal fold injection offers many distinct advantages for the treatment of glottal insufficiency (vocal fold paralysis, vocal fold paresis, vocal fold atrophy and vocal fold scar). A review of materials available and different vocal fold injection approaches is performed. A comparison of vocal fold injection to laryngeal framework surgery is also undertaken. With proper patient and material selection, vocal fold injection now plays a major role in the treatment of many patients with dysphonia.
SOLAR WIND STRAHL BROADENING BY SELF-GENERATED PLASMA WAVES
Pavan, J.,Viñ,as, A. F.,Yoon, P. H.,Ziebell, L. F.,Gaelzer, R. IOP Publishing 2013 ASTROPHYSICAL JOURNAL LETTERS - Vol.769 No.2

This Letter reports on the results of numerical simulations which may provide a possible explanation for the strahl broadening during quiet solar conditions. The relevant processes involved in the broadening are due to kinetic quasi-linear wave-particle interaction. Making use of static analytical electron distribution in an inhomogeneous field, it is found that self-generated electrostatic waves at the plasma frequency, i.e., Langmuir waves, are capable of scattering the strahl component, resulting in energy and pitch-angle diffusion that broadens its velocity distribution significantly. The present theoretical results provide an alternative or complementary explanation to the usual whistler diffusion scenario, suggesting that self-induced electrostatic waves at the plasma frequency might play a key role in broadening the solar wind strahl during quiet solar conditions.

Background/Aims Most patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) report food-related aggravation of symptoms. Wheat/gluten is one of the most commonly incriminated. We studied the prevalence of self-reported wheat sensitivity in patients with IBS and in a healthy population from a region in India consuming mixed-cereal diets, correlated it with serological and human leukocyte antigen (HLA) markers of celiac disease, and evaluated the response to a wheat-free diet. Methods We surveyed 204 patients with IBS and 400 healthy persons for self-reported wheat sensitivity. Testing for IgA anti-tissue transglutaminase and HLA DQ2 or DQ8 was done in individuals who reported wheat sensitivity. Consenting persons with wheat sensitivity were put on wheat-free diet and monitored for symptom change. Results Twenty-three of 204 patients with IBS (11.3%) and none of the healthy subjects self-reported wheat sensitivity. Of 23 patients, 14 (60.9%) were positive for HLA DQ2 or DQ8 and none for anti-tissue transglutaminase antibody. After 6 weeks on wheat-free diet, all 19 participating patients reported clinical improvement; fewer patients had bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and easy fatigue. Conclusions Eleven percent of patients with IBS self-reported wheat sensitivity. None of them had positive celiac serology; 60.9% were positive for HLA DQ2 and DQ8, suggesting a possible genetic basis. All of them improved symptomatically on a wheat-free diet. Isolation and Characterization of Novel Lipase Gene LipHim1 from the DNA Isolated from Soil Samples
Pavan Kumar Pindi,Raja Srinath R.,Theetha L. Pavankumar 한국미생물학회 2014 The journal of microbiology Vol.52 No.5
Metagenomics is a magnificent tool to isolate genes fromunknown/uncharacterized species and also from organismsthat cannot be cultured. In this study, we constructed a metagenomiclibrary from isolated DNA of soil samples collectedfrom Palamuru University campus premises, in Mahabubnagardistrict of Andhra Pradesh, India. We isolated a novellipase gene LipHim1, which has an open reading frame of591 base pairs and encodes ~23 kDa protein consisting of196 amino acids. The Lipase LipHim1 showed maximum32% homology at the protein level with the extracellularAeromonas hydrophila lipase (Class II, GDSL family) and wassignificantly different from all other known lipases. Theisolated lipase catalyzed the hydrolysis of fatty acid esters ofpolyoxyethylene sorbitan such as Tween 60. Our results indicatethat the isolated lipase gene is novel.
Advanced Looping Broadcast Proxy Re-Encryption in Cloud computing
Pavan Yadav 사단법인 미래융합기술연구학회 2016 아시아태평양융합연구교류논문지 Vol.2 No.1
Recently, various augmented Proxy Re-Encryptions (PRE), e.g. Conditional (CPRE), identity-based PRE (IPRE) and broadcast PRE (BPRE), have been proposed for adaptable applications. By joining CPRE, IPRE and BPRE, this paper proposes an adaptable primitive alluded to as conditional identity-based broadcast PRE (CIBPRE) and formalizes its semantic security. CIBPRE permits a sender to scramble a message to numerous recipients by determining these collectors' personalities, and the sender can appoint a re-encryption key to an intermediary so he can change over the underlying ciphertext into another one to another arrangement of proposed beneficiaries. Additionally, the re-encryption key can be connected with a condition to such an extent that exclusive the coordinating ciphertexts can be re-encoded, which permits the first sender to authorize get to control over his remote ciphertexts in a fine-grained way. We propose a proficient CIBPRE plot with provable security. In the instantiated scheme, the initial ciphertext, the re-encrypted ciphertext and the re-encryption key are all in consistent size, and the parameters to create a re-encryption key are autonomous of the first beneficiaries of any underlying ciphertext. At last, we demonstrate an utilization of our CIBPRE to secure cloud email system invaluable over existing secure email systems in view of Pretty Good Privacy protocol or identity-based encryption.

( Pavan Kumar ),( Neelesh Sharma ),( Shubham Sharma ),( Nitin Mehta ),( Akhilesh Kumar Verma ),( S Chemmalar ),( Awis Qurni Sazili ) 한국축산학회 2021 한국축산학회지 Vol.63 No.4
The in-vitro meat is a novel concept in food biotechnology comprising field of tissue engineering and cellular agriculture. It involves production of edible biomass by in-vitro culture of stem cells harvested from the muscle of live animals by self-organizing or scaffolding methodology. It is considered as efficient, environmental friendly, better ensuring public safety and nutritional security, as well as ethical way of producing meat. Source of stem cells, media ingredients, supply of large size bioreactors, skilled manpower, sanitary requirements, production of products with similar sensory and textural attributes as of conventional meat, consumer acceptance, and proper set up of regulatory framework are challenges faced in commercialization and consumer acceptance of in-vitro meat. To realize any perceivable change in various socio-economic and environmental spheres, the technology should be commercialized and should be cost-effective as conventional meat and widely accepted among consumers. The new challenges of increasing demand of meat with the increasing population could be fulfill by the establishment of in-vitro meat production at large scale and its popularization. The adoption of in-vitro meat production at an industrial scale will lead to self-sufficiency in the developed world.
Analysis of uninterruptable power supply critical‑to‑quality factors
Pavan Mohan Neelamraju,Siva Yellampalli 전력전자학회 2023 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.23 No.12
The demand for a reliable power supply and electricity continues to increase, which has led to an increase in the production capacities of power generation units and regular utilization of the power transmission infrastructure. This in turn has resulted in significant stress on the system, which can cause issues such as sudden outages. To eliminate these problems, it is important to accurately evaluate the performance of electrical appliances. With this in mind, this paper investigates the power, runtime, and related quantities of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. This information can be used to understand the lifespan, safety, and efficiency of these systems. This study examines how various circuit parameters impact the runtime of a UPS system and analyzes the chronological variations of UPS system runtime using collected parametric data. It also maps the relationship between parameters, such as the temperature at the battery positive terminal, supply voltage, supply current, average power, and total energy stored in the battery with respect to the runtime of the system. Additionally, the future trends of system runtime are inferred using the stated parameters. This study also proposes new methods for assessing the effectiveness of power use and developing forecasting models with relatively small data sets. Overall, the current work offers new insights into UPS system performance and the factors contributing to chronological variations in runtime.
