One hundred thirty-four putative Bacillus isolates were recovered from soybean rhizosphere soils of Nimar region to select effective zinc solubilizers for increased assimilation of zinc (Zn) in soybean seeds. These isolates were screened in vitro for zinc-solubilization ability on Tris-minimal agar medium supplemented separately with 0.1% zinc in the form of zinc oxide, zinc phosphate, and zinc carbonate. Of all, 9 isolates and a reference Bacillus cereus ATCC 13061 were characterized and identified as Bacillus species based on Gram-positive reaction, endospore-forming cells, and the presence of iso-C15:0 and anteiso-C15:0 as predominant fatty acids. On plate assay, two isolates KHBD-6 and KHBAR-1 showed a greater diameter of solubilization halo and colony diameter on all the three zinc compounds. The isolates KHBD-6, KHBAR-1, BDSD-2-2C, and KHTH-4-1 and the reference strain ATCC 13061 had higher soluble zinc concentration in liquid medium supplemented with zinc phosphate and zinc carbonate compounds as compared with the other isolates and uninoculated control. Evaluation under microcosm conditions showed that inoculation of isolates KHBD-6 (57.34 μg/g), KHBAR-1 (55.67 μg/g), and strain ATCC 13061 (53.10 μg/g) significantly increased the Zn concentration in soybean seeds as compared with the other isolates and uninoculated control (47.14 μg/g). This study suggests the occurrence of zinc-solubilizing Bacillus in soils of Nimar region and isolates KHBD-6 and KHBAR-1 were found to be promising zinc solubilizers for increased assimilation of Zn in soybean seeds.

There exist many measures of fuzzy directed divergence corresponding to the existing probabilistic measures. Some new measures of fuzzy divergence have been proposed which correspond to some well-known existing probabilistic measures. The essential properties of the proposed measures have been developed which contains many existing measures of fuzzy directed divergence.
Study of a novel phenolic-ester as antioxidant additive in lube, biodiesel and blended diesel

A novel phenolic-ester denoted as Bz–4–tBz was synthesized by esterification reaction between the1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid and 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenyl alcohol in N,N0-dimethyla-cetamide using N,N0-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as catalyst. The Bz–4–tBz was evaluated as antioxidantin polyol by the rotatory bomb oxidation test while the Rancimat test were also done for evaluating theantioxidant potential in the biodiesel (B100) and blended diesel (B20). The RBOT time of polyol wasobserved to be increased from 6.72 min to 17.42 min when blended 2000 mg/kg Bz–4–tBz in it. Theoxidation stability of biodiesel (B100) and blended diesel (B20) was also found to be increased.

Cellulose fatty esters with different fatty acids as lauric, myristic, palmitic, stearic and oleic acid having same degrees of substitution (DS 2.0) were prepared homogeneously using 1-butyl-3-methylimida- zolium chloride ([C4mim]+Cl). All samples were characterized by IR and NMR. The triboevaluation in terms of average friction coefficient was done by nanotribometer using 3000 ppm solution of each ester in polyol (pentaerythritol tetraoleate) which is taken as biolube reference fluid. The cellulose esters are found to show antifriction character in the order as myristate > palmitate > laurate > stearate > oleate.
