        Data-driven prognostics method for turbofan engine degradation using hybrid deep neural network

        Powerful sequence modeling capability for massive multi-sensor data enables deep-learning-based methods to obtain accurate remaining useful life (RUL) estimations. Hybrid neural networks, with learned representations based on various networks, have enhanced the prognostics accuracies than single networks. However, assembly strategies that are limited to either parallel or serial, and insufficient utilization of single networks restrict the development of hybrid networks for more complex problems. This paper proposes a datadriven method using hybrid multi-scale convolutional neural network (MSCNN) and bidirectional long short-term memory (BLSTM) network (namely HMCB network) for RUL estimation. The framework of the network includes two parallel paths. One is composed of MSCNN and BLSTM in serial and the other is a BLSTM path. The HMCB network integrates the merits of multi-scale spatial feature extraction of MSCNN and sequence learning capacity of BLSTM. Validated by C-MAPSS dataset, the HMCB network demonstrates noticeably higher prognostic accuracy than other state-of-the-art methods.

        禮樂文化的歷史考察

        본 논문은 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 논문은 예악문화의 역사과정, 전설중의 선왕의 즐거움에서 서주의 예약교화에 이루는 역사과정을 계통적으로 고찰해 보는 것이다. 이것은 예악교화시기, 정치, 도덕, 교육, 사회실천과 문화의심이 혼재하여 구분할 수 없다. 둘째, 서주 말기와 춘추 초기에 예악교화의 조짐이 이미 드러났으며, 경대부卿大夫에서 악사樂師에 이르기까지의 예악을 논하면서 중국학술사상이 등장하였음을 고찰하였다. 셋째, 공자와 유가는 예악교화를 전면적으로 회복하고자 하였으나, 이것은 실제로 정치상에서 불가능한 일이다. 그러나 교육과 학술상에서 공자를 비롯한 유가는 예악을 교학과목과 연구대상으로 삼아 인재를 배양하고 예악문화를 순수문화로 변화시켜 오랫동안 전하게 하였음을 논술하였다. The purpose of this paper is to describe the historical process of the culture of ritual and music. To describe the historical process of the development of education of ritual and music is the main part of this paper. Confucius and his disciples contributed very much to education of ritual and music.

        Weakly almost periodic points and chaotic dynamics of discrete amenable group actions

        The aim of this paper is to introduce the notions of (quasi) weakly almost periodic point, measure center and minimal center of attraction of amenable group actions, explore the connections of levels of the orbit's topological structure of (quasi) weakly almost periodic points and study chaotic dynamics of transitive systems with full measure centers. Actually, we showed that weakly almost periodic points and quasi-weakly almost periodic points have distinct orbit's topological structure and proved that there exists at least countable Li-Yorke pairs if the system contains a proper (quasi) weakly almost periodic point and that a transitive but not minimal system with a full measure center is strongly ergodically chaotic.

        EFFECT OF HEAVY-DUTY DIESEL ENGINE OPERATING PARAMETERS ON PARTICLE NUMBER AND SIZE DISTRIBUTION AT LOW SPEED CONDITION

        Experiments and simulations were used to investigate the effect of a range of engine operating parameters and fuel characteristics on the particle size and particle number (PN) concentration at low speed and idle speed condition. The occurrence, size, and concentration of particles were tested against a range of parameters including start of injection (SOI), common rail pressure, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) ratio and load. The results showed that the homogeneity of the mixture had the greatest impact on particle size and number concentration. The performance of particle is different at different levels of load. The particle were of nucleation mode at idle condition, and the cold idle particles had a slightly larger diameter than those produced at hot idle. By using the diesel and under high load, at EGR ratios of less than 20 %, most particles were of nucleation mode. At EGR ratios exceeding 20 %, nucleation-mode particles were gradually replaced by accumulation-mode particles. At EGR ratios above 30 %, most particles were of the accumulation mode. Under the same load, gasoline compression ignition produced particles of smaller size and reduced particulate mass (PM). The use of gasoline extended ignition delay, as the high volatility and octane number of the fuel improved the homogeneity of the mixture. Finally, a linear relationship was found between PM and PN. The relative contribution of the different factors to the formation of nucleationor accumulation-mode particles was investigated.

        Preparation and Gene Delivery of Alkaline Amino Acids-Based Cationic Liposomes

        Cationic lipids 1, 2, and 3, based on hydrophobic cholesterol linked to L-lysine, L-histidine or Larginine, respectively, were designed and tested as gene delivery vectors. Physicochemical and biological properties of all liposomes and lipoplexes were evaluated, including lipid-DNA interactions, size, morphology, zeta potential, acid-base buffering capability, protection of DNA from DNase I digestion, and cytotoxity. The efficiency of luciferase gene transfection of lipoplexes 1-3 was compared with that of commercial dioleoyl-trimethylammonium propane (DOTAP) and polyethyleneimine (PEI) in 293T cells and HepG2 cells with or without poly(ethylene glycol) PEG stabilizer. The complexation and protection of DNA of liposome 3 was the strongest among the three liposomes. The efficiency of gene transfection of liposomes 1-3 was two-to threefold higher than that of PEI and/or DOTAP in 293T cells. Liposomes 1 and 3 in PEG as stabilizer showed sixfold higher transfection efficiency than that of PEI and/or DOTAP, whereas liposome 2 showed very low transfection efficiency. In HepG2 cells, the transfection efficiency of all the cationic liposomes was much lower than that of DOTAP. In conclusion, lipids 1-3 were efficient and non-toxic gene vectors; the headgroup of cationic lipids and the stabilizer of liposome formulation had an important influence on gene transfection.

        Sensitive Colorimetric Sensor for Lead Ions and VOCs Based on Histidine-Functionalized Polydiacetylene

        Due to the high toxicity of lead ions (Pb2+) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to human health and the environment, increasing attention has been paid by scientists to the development of simple, flexible and sensitive sensors or methods that are capable of tracing Pb2+ ions or VOCs with colorimetric visualization. In this study, the fabrication of colorimetric sensors based on histidine-functionalized diacetylene (His-DA), chromatic π-conjugated liposomes, for tracing Pb2+ ions was described. With a suitable molar ratio (4:1) between the10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid (PCDA) and His-DA monomers, the histidine units of the hybrid liposomes could rationally interrupt the efficient backbone length of polydiacetylene (PDA) chains, which causes the probe to be highly sensitive and selective for colorimetric visualization of tracing Pb2+ ions. Moreover, the His-PDA films also displayed sensitivity to volatile organic solvents or vapors, which could promote vivid color changes from blue to purple or pink. These interesting findings indicate that histidine-functionalized diacetylene may offer a promising way to design smart devices for real applications of sensing or tracing hazardous substances in the future.
