        은희경의 「내가 살았던 집」에 나타나는 영화적 기법

        The strategy of the narrative in the novel of Eun Hi-Kyoung is verified. First, in her text whose character has “the cynical smile” and “the feigned wickedness”, which has the peculiarity that a “focalizer” and “voice” in the text is divided and overlaped. When a focalizer and voice is certainly divided, a focalizer secures the distance with the objectivity and just get a view of the world and the object as well as a character in the text with a view of “the cynical smile” and “the feigned wickedness”. But in the story about the past which is located in the interval of the present time, a focalizer and voice is unjustly divided, or overlaped almost. And throughout this story about the past, A event of the precent which looks meaningless acquires the meaning. At this time, we can realize that the writer is hiding away a restrained desire and thought behind the “the cynical smile”.<br/> Second, the Hard-cut of Montage which appears in the 「The House that I had been」 shows the transformed space made in the memory which looks the object. The arrangement that the past and the present, or difficult stories, or the object and the space stand in a line gives a reader the construable space. At the same time, the meaningless event that happens now has the meaning throughout the memory about the past and a reader can see and feel the space closer than others. Those peculiarities are the modern novel's and film-art's. Eun Hi-Kyoung makes the effect throughout the strategy of the narrative which evokes “the cynical smile” and "the feigned wickedness" that it is made in that a focalizer and voice is divided and overlaped, or situations and shots stand in a line.

        A Damage Constitutive Model of Q345B Steel in Circular Tubes Based on Cyclic Experiments and Its Application on Structure

        Q235B and Q345B are two structural steel grades widely used in China. In previous studies, more precisely in 2012, Nie defi ned a normalized constitutive model using material damage accumulation to describe damage behavior of Q235B steel in circular tubes. This paper focuses on the hysteretic damage behavior of Q345B steel in a circular steel tube under cyclic loads and describes the damage mechanism through a damage constitutive model based on experimental results. Three equations are implemented in the constitutive model, which includes a damage index to accurately describe the plastic and damage behavior of the material. Experiments were conducted in which a cyclic loading is applied in three directions on a circular steel tube. The constitutive model was implemented in the ABAQUS FEA software through a user-defi ned subroutine. Some parameters in the constitutive model were calibrated based on the experimental and numerical results. The performance behavior of a single-layer reticulated dome under seismic motion record was investigated through the increment dynamic analysis method. The results indicate that the constitutive model is suitable for analyses and quantifying seismic damage accumulation and progressive failure and it is also benefi cial for investigating the nonlinear dynamic behavior of structures under seismic loads. The eff ect of accumulated material damage can describe large-scale structural deformation and obvious reduction in the failure limit load.

        Scholarly Periodicals and World Literature Research and Exchange

        The early appearance of periodicals in China is largely under the influence of Western scholarship. The first Chinese language magazine Chinese Monthly Magazine (Cha Shi Su MeiYue TongJi Zhuan), for instance, was jointly issued by two Christian Protestant missionaries in 1865 in Malacca. The earliest literary periodicals appeared in the late Qing Dynasty, of which the four representative popular fiction magazines were New Fiction (Xin Xiaoshuo), Illustrated Fictions (Xiuxiang Xiaoshuo), The All-Story Monthly (Yue yue Xiao Shuo) and Forest of Fiction (Xiaoshuo Lin). As periodicals serve as the principal medium for publishing research, they have a great impact upon the process of scholarly dissemination and communication. Ever since the New Culture Movement, scholarly journals, through introducing foreign literature into China, have been playing a vital part in literary research on world literature. In order for Chinese scholarly journals to be recognized worldwide, it is of great necessity to promote academic quality and realize the professionalization and internationalization of journals.

      • Research about the Degree of Relation between Chaotic Characteristics of Physiological Signals and Emotions

        Physiological information can objectively reflect the emotional state. Emotion recognition based on physiological signals has the important practical application value. In this paper, six kinds of chaotic characteristics were extracted from physiological data about Electromyogram, Skin conductivity, Respiration, which come from Augsburg university in Germany. Six kinds of chaotic characteristics contain the largest Lyapunov exponent, correlation dimension, box dimensions, information entropy, approximate entropy and complexity. On the basis of this, the degree of relation between chaotic characteristics of physiological signals and emotions was researched. The results showed that different chaotic characteristic values of different physiological signals sensitive to the emotion is different. Therefore, in order to improve the recognition rate, the chaotic characteristics of the multiple physiological information need to be merged to establish chaos matrix, which provide a new method for emotion recognition.

        An asymptotic analysis on non-linear free vibration of squarely-reticulated circular plates

        In this paper an asymptotic iteration method is adopted to analyze non-linear free vibration of reticulated circular plates composed of beam members placed in two orthogonal directions. For the resulting linear ordinary differential equations in the process of iteration, the power series with rapid convergence has been applied to obtain an analytical solution for non-linear characteristic relation between the amplitude and frequency of the structure. Numerical examples are given, and the phenomena indicating hardening of such structures have been presented for the (immovable or movable) simply-supported and clamped circular plates.

        A SYMMETRIC FINITE VOLUME ELEMENT SCHEME ON TETRAHEDRON GRIDS

        We construct a symmetric finite volume element (SFVE) scheme for a self-adjoint elliptic problem on tetrahedron grids and prove that our new scheme has optimal convergent order for the solution and has superconvergent order for the flux when grids are quasi-uniform and regular. The symmetry of our scheme is helpful to solve efficiently the corresponding discrete system. Numerical experiments are carried out to confirm the theoretical results.

        <P>High-quality SrAl12O19:Pr<SUP>3+</SUP> nanodisks and nanoplates were fabricated via a new processing technique based on a modified polymer steric entrapment method. Serious agglomeration and large particle size distribution of final products, which usually occurred in the conventional method, were eliminated completely. The effects of new synthetic processes on the morphology, crystallization, and yield of products and the relevant mechanisms were discussed. As far as we know, SrAl12O19:Pr<SUP>3+</SUP> nanodisks with mean diameter ∼60 nm and thickness between 5 and 10 nm were successfully synthesized for the first time by this low-cost technique. The new synthetic method may provide a general route to synthesize other refractory mixed-oxide nanocrystals. Photon cascade emission involving transitions <SUP>1</SUP>S0-<SUP>1</SUP>I6 followed by <SUP>3</SUP>P0-<SUP>3</SUP>H4 in SrAl12O19:1% Pr<SUP>3+</SUP> nanodisks was investigated. Size-effect-induced blue shift of the 4<I>f</I>5<I>d</I> states of Pr<SUP>3+</SUP> was observed in SrAl12O19:1% Pr<SUP>3+</SUP> nanodisks, in which the quantum efficiency was preserved, as in the bulk counterparts.</P>

        Snap-through buckling of single-layer squarely-reticulated shallow spherical shells continuously supported on springs

        An asymptotic solution for snap-through buckling of single-layer squarely-reticulated shallow spherical shells continuously supported on springs is developed in this paper. Based on the fundamental governing equations and boundary conditions, a nondimensional analytical expression associated with the external load, stiffness of spring and central transverse displacement (deflection) is derived with the aid of asymptotic iteration method. The effects of stiffness of spring and characteristic geometrical parameter on buckling of the structures are given by the analyses of numerical examples. In a special case, for reticulated circular plates, the influence of stiffness of spring on the characteristic relation between load and deflection is also demonstrated.
