A new formulation of the J integral of bonded composite repair in aircraft structures
Nassim Serier,Belaïd Mechab,Rachid Mhamdia,Boualem Serier 국제구조공학회 2016 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.58 No.5
A three-dimensional finite element method is used for analysis of repairing cracks in plates with bonded composite patch in elastic and elastic plastic analysis. This study was performed in order to establish an analytical model of the J-integral for repair crack. This formulation of the J-integral to establish models of fatigue crack growth in repairing aircraft structures. The model was developed by interpolation of numerical results. The obtained results were compared with those calculated with the finite element method. It was found that our model gives a good agreement of the J-integral. The arrow shape reduces the J integral at the crack tip, which improves the repair efficiency.
ON WEIGHTED AND PSEUDO-WEIGHTED SPECTRA OF BOUNDED OPERATORS
Athmouni, Nassim,Baloudi, Hatem,Jeribi, Aref,Kacem, Ghazi Korean Mathematical Society 2018 대한수학회논문집 Vol.33 No.3
In the present paper, we extend the main results of Jeribi in [6] to weighted and pseudo-weighted spectra of operators in a nonseparable Hilbert space ${\mathcal{H}}$. We investigate the characterization, the stability and some properties of these weighted and pseudo-weighted spectra.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate theeffects of sodium alginate (SA) coatings containing Menthaspicata essential oil (MSO; 0.5 and 1%) and cellulosenanoparticles (CN; 0.25 and 0.5%) on chemical (totalvolatile base nitrogen content and peroxide value), microbial(total viable count, psychrotrophic count, Pseudomonasspp., and Enterobacteriaceae), and sensory (odor, color, and overall acceptability) properties of raw silvercarp fillets during 14 days of refrigerated storage. TheMSO was mostly comprised of carvone (78.76%) andlimonene (11.50%). SA ? MSO 1% ? CN 0.5% was mosteffective in extending the shelf life of silver carp fillets, followed by SA ? MSO 1% ? CN 0.25%, SA ? MSO1%, SA ? MSO 0.5% ? CN 0.5%, SA ? MSO0.5% ? CN 0.25%, SA ? MSO 0.5%, SA ? CN 0.5%,SA ?CN 0.25%, and SA. Incorporation of MSO 0.5%didn’t have any adverse effect on odor, color, and overallacceptability of treated samples.

Objectives: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a prevalent and chronic, pruritic inflammatory skin condition that can influence all age groups. AD is associated with a poor health-related quality of life. This randomized clinical trial was performed to compare the effectiveness of Olivederma (combination of aloe vera and virgin olive oil) or betamethasone regarding disease severity, quality of life, serum IgE and eosinophil count. Methods: Thirty-six AD patients were randomly allocated to topical Olivederma or betamethasone, and were followed for 6 weeks. Results: Total SCORAD severity scores showed significant decrease in both groups, while it was more prominent in Olivederma group (64.5% improvement in Olivederma vs. 13.5% improvement in Betamethasone, p-value < 0.001). Quality of life (DLQI questionnaire) of AD patients was significantly improved after 6 weeks treatment with Betamethasone (22.3%, p < 0.001) and Olivederma (60.7%, p-value < 0.001). Olivederma group showed a significantly lower DLQI score in comparison with Betamethasone treated patients after 6 weeks of therapy (p < 0.001). Improvements in eosinophil count and serum IgE was observed. Conclusion: In summary, this study shows that Olivederma is superior to topical Betamethasone after 6 weeks of therapy with regard to disease severity, quality of life and eosinophil count.

This research delved into the impact of SRL strategies-based instruction on EFL students’ L2 writing performance, academic self-efficacy, and use of SRL strategies. To this end, 50 Iranian EFL learners, including 25 males and 25 females, attended the study. The experimental group was provided with a four-month SRL strategies-based intervention which followed the Self-Regulated Strategy Development model adapted from Harris and Graham (1996), and the control group took the traditional writing course needed by the university curriculum with the same length. All the students were required to accomplish pre- and post-writing tests as well as self-report questionnaires, including the Writing Strategies for Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire and the second Language Writer Self-Efficacy Scale, at the beginning and the end of the instruction. The outcomes showed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in the post-writing test. Experimental group 's levels of linguistic selfefficacy and performance self-efficacy were remarkably higher than their counterparts in the control group. The study further implies that the instruction might contribute to the increased application of SRL strategies in EFL writing classes in a way that students might become more self-directed and selfregulated in their overall language performance in general and their written performances in particular.
The Cost of Non-maghreb Achieving the Gains from Economic Integration
( Mohammed Hedi Bchir ),( Hakim Ben Hammouda ),( Nassim Oulmane ),( Mustapha Sadni Jallab ) 세종대학교 경제통합연구소 (구 세종대학교 국제경제연구소) 2007 Journal of Economic Integration Vol.22 No.3
The purpose of this paper is to estimate the impact of the integration of Maghreb countries into a free trade area on the main macroeconomic aggregates. By using the MIRAGE model and MacMap database, we tested different scenarios to estimate the gains or the potential losses of various plans of trade integration (Free trade area for the Maghreb countries, Custom Union between Maghreb countries, Maghreban Common Market). Our study suggests that the overall gains from liberalizing trade in goods (and removing various regulatory non-tariff barriers in the process) could reach at least USD 350 million. The increase in revenue through increases in production and wages would positively affect welfare levels for Maghreb consumers. The dynamic gains from liberalizing trade in goods can outstrip the static gains, with productivity improvements as the main driver. Our analysis shows that the creation of a common market is probably the most interesting and efficient option for the Maghreb countries.
How the DOHA Round Could Support the African Industry?
Hakim Ben Hammouda,Stephen Karingi,Nassim Oulmane,Mustapha Sandi Jallab 중앙대학교 경제연구소 2007 Journal of Economic Development Vol.32 No.1
This study provides a quantitative evaluation of the Doha Round in terms of the market access for industrial products and the possible consequences of the trade liberalization process. It analyzes the impact of the reforms put forward by the July Package concluded in Geneva. The tariff reduction scenarios under review fit in with the commitments undertaken in the July Package. All four scenarios reviewed are based on a Girard formula. The first, third and fourth scenarios are ambitious, whereas the second is more conservative. Scenarios 1, 3 and 4 differ in the way they factor in special and differential (S&D) treatment. In terms of impact, the simulations show that a liberalization scenario based on an ambitious, non-linear Girard formula would be a less desirable alternative for Africa. It would allow for increases in the welfare and production of the African countries but would not boost African exports.
Optimal Regional Trade-Integration Schemes in North Africa: Toward a Pro-Industrialization Policy
( Simon Mevel ),( Jaime Moll De Alba ),( Nassim Oulmane ) 세종대학교 경제통합연구소 2016 Journal of Economic Integration Vol.31 No.3
This article examines the status of industrial production in North African Countries as well as the role that regional trade integration through free-trade agreements and trade facilitation may play in spurring this region’s reindustrialization. The study uses Applied General Equilibrium model to assess the potential impact of the establishment of a Continental Free Trade Area as well as the reduction of costs to trade across borders. This article also measures the additional impact of the implementation of the Great Arab Free Trade Area and, finally, a deeper free trade agreement among North African countries and the European Union. The main findings indicate that each free-trade agreement configuration will stimulate, in relative terms, North African countries’ exports from a number of main industries. Whereas industrial products represent the largest share of North African countries’ export gains to Africa in general, mining and energy dominate North African countries’ export gains to the rest of the Arab League and food dominates the exports to the European Union. Therefore, the establishment of the Continental Free Trade Area, accompanied by trade-facilitation measures, appears to be crucial in providing support for North African countries’ industrialization.
A fecalith mimicking a bladder calculus secondary to an appendicovesical fistula: a case report
Gonzalez-Urquijo Mauricio,Romero-Davila, Andrea,Mendoza-Silva MaryCarmen,Treviño Antonio Nassim Halun,Rodarte-Shade Mario,Gil-Galindo Gerardo 대한대장항문학회 2023 Annals of Coloproctolgy Vol.39 No.4
An appendicovesical fistula is defined as an abnormal communication between the appendix and the urinary bladder, with only a few cases reported in the literature. It is very challenging to make an early diagnosis, due to the inability of conventional imaging modalities to detect this unique pathology. The symptoms are often mild, and there are not any specific signs or symptoms that might suggest this type of anomalous communication. We report a case of a 27-year-old male patient who presented difficulty for initiating urination, dysuria, and persistent urinary tract infections. An abdominal x-ray showed a large calculus inside the bladder. A cystoscopy was performed, where the tip of the appendix was seen protruding inside the bladder with a large fecalith adhered to the bladder wall. An appendectomy and partial cystectomy with primary repair were auspiciously achieved. A review of the literature is also presented.
