교정치료 초기에 사용되는 4가지 호선의 초기 치료효과를 비교하기 위한 전향적 임상 실험 연구

본 연구의 목적은 교정치료 초기에 사용되는 스테인레스스틸, 다가닥철선, 초탄성 NiTi, 열활동성 NiTi 재료로 이루어진 총 4가지 호선의 초기 치료효과를 비교하기 위하여 시행되어으며, 실험의 설계는 전향적 임상 실험(prospective randomized clinical trial)으로서 브라질 리오데자네이로 주립 치과대학에 내원한 45명의 고정식 교정장치 환자를 대상으로 시행되었다. 각 호선의 재료는 환자의 치열에 무작위로 배당되었는데 스테인레스스틸은 26명,다가닥철선은 22명,초탄성NiTi는 22명, 열활동성NiTi는 20명에게 할당되었고.8주후에 모형을 다시 제작한 후 3차원 디지털 영상 장비를 이용하여 모형의 치관에 설정된 해부학적 지표의 변화를 측정하였는데 치료전 및 치료후 치열불규칙지수(Dental Irregularlty Index)의 차이로 초기 교정치료 효과를 비교하였다. 분산분석을 시행하여 불규칙지수의 변화를 살펴본 결과 호선의 재료에 따른 초기 치료 효과는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. The aim of this study was to compare the clinical performance of 4 types of orthodontic wires, indicated for initial tooth alignment: stainless steel, multistranded steel, superelastic and thermoactivated nickel-titanium. A prospective randomized clinical trial was conducted on a sample of 45 patients, at the Dental School of the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Fixed appliances were fitted and study casts were obtained from each patient. Randomly, the wires were allocated as follows: 26dental arches for superelastic NiTi wires, 22 for stainless steel, 22 for multistranded and 20 for thermoactivated archwires. After 8 weeks, the archwires were removed and impressions for study casts were taken again. Using a 3D digitization technique of defined anatomical points on the study cast crowns, a Dental irregularity Index (Dll) was created for each study cast. The difference between Dll before and after the archwire insertion expressed the aligning effect of the wires. ANOVA tests were employed to evaluate the anatomical point approximation (positive Dll) and separation (negative Dll), for each area of the dental arches: upper and lower whole arch and anterior arch. Results showed no significant difference between the different archwires.

In this work, catalytic Rh<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>-functionalized WO<SUB>3</SUB> nanofibers (NFs) were synthesized via an electrospinning route and used as a highly selective acetone-sensing layer for potential diagnosis of diabetes. Catalytic rhodium nanoparticles (Rh NPs) with average diameters of 5.0+/-0.52nm, which were synthesized by the polyol process, were dispersed in water with W precursor and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) for electrospinning. As-spun Rh NP-loaded W precursor/PVP composite NFs were calcined at 600<SUP>o</SUP>C for 1h in air atmosphere to achieve Rh<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>-decorated WO<SUB>3</SUB> NFs. Microstructure evolution and chemical composition of Rh<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>-decorated WO<SUB>3</SUB> NFs as a function of Rh-loading amounts, i.e., 0.01wt%, 0.05wt%, 0.10wt%, and 0.15wt%, were examined using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The mean size (30nm) of the WO<SUB>3</SUB> crystallites in Rh<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>-decorated WO<SUB>3</SUB> NFs was much smaller than that (60nm) of the WO<SUB>3</SUB> crystallites in pristine WO<SUB>3</SUB> NFs. The Rh<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>-decorated WO<SUB>3</SUB> NFs showed outstanding acetone (CH<SUB>3</SUB>COCH<SUB>3</SUB>) sensing response (R<SUB>air</SUB>/R<SUB>gas</SUB>=41.2 to 5ppm), which was 4.6 times higher than the response (R<SUB>air</SUB>/R<SUB>gas</SUB>=9.0 to 5ppm) of pristine WO<SUB>3</SUB> NFs at highly humid atmosphere (95% RH). In addition, superior acetone cross-sensitivity of the Rh<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>-decorated WO<SUB>3</SUB> NFs was observed in other interfering gases such as pentane (n-C<SUB>5</SUB>H<SUB>12</SUB>), ammonia (NH<SUB>3</SUB>), toluene (C<SUB>6</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB>CH<SUB>3</SUB>), carbon monoxide (CO), and ethanol (C<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB>OH) at 5ppm. These results are highly promising for the accurate and selective detection of acetone in exhaled breath for potential diagnosis of diabetes.

<P>Candida antarctica lipase B catalyzed the stereoselective ammoniolysis of N-alkyl aziridine-2-carboxylates in tBuOH saturated with ammonia and yielded the (2S)-aziridine-2-carboxamide and unreacted (2R)-aziridine-2-carboxylate. Varying the N-1 substituent on the aziridine ring changed the rate and stereoselectivity of the reaction. Substrates with a benzyl substituent or a (1′R)-1-phenylethyl substituent reacted approximately ten times faster than substrates with a (1′S)-1-phenylethyl substituent. Substrates with a benzyl substituent showed little stereoselectivity (E=5–7) while substrates with either a (1′R)- or (1′S)-1-phenylethyl substituent showed high stereoselectivity (D>50). Molecular modeling by using the current paradigm for enantioselectivity—binding of the slow enantiomer by an exchange-of-substituents orientation—could not account for the experimental results. However, modeling an umbrella-like-inversion orientation for the slow enantiomer could account for the experimental results. Steric hindrance between the methyl in the (1′S)-1-phenylethyl substituent and Thr138 and Ile189 in the acyl-binding site likely accounts for the slow reaction. Enantioselectivity likely stems from an unfavorable interaction of the methine hydrogen with Thr40 for the slow enantiomer and from subtle differences in the orientations of the other three substituents. This success in rationalizing the enantioselectivity supports the notion that an umbrella-like-inversion orientation can contribute to enantioselectivity in lipases.</P> <B>Graphic Abstract</B> <P>Under protection: Candida antarctica lipase B-catalyzed ammoniolysis of aziridine-2-carboxylates is a highly enantioselective route to enantiopure material. This reaction was studied by varying the N-1 substituent on the aziridine ring. Electrolyte analyzer is one of widely used instrument in the hospitals and laboratories. In this paper, a desktop electrolyte analyzer which can detect and display both ion concentrations of hydrogen and sodium in the solution using ISFET is developed. We designed hardware of the system including signal-processing circuit for multiple sensor and flow system consist of a sample chamber unit and 12 actuators. For the efficient control of the system, 2-point calibration, measurement and washing algorithms are also developed. We compare the pH, pNa values measured by the developed system with those measured by reference system and verified the performance.

An angular method of identifying diffractive excitation(DE) events for interactions of a hadron beam in nuclear emulsion is applied to identifying DE events in interactions of heavy ions beams. The "apparent" mean free paths (MEP) of DE processes for ^16O(^28Si) beams are 1.00±0.12, 2.4^_1.6_-0.7, and 2.2±0.4(1.5±0.2)m, respectively, at 200, 60 and 14.6 GeV/nucleon, which corresponds to 20-10% fo the MFP for total inelastic interactions. Distinctive features of diffractively excited nuclei are discussed.
