Analysis of Indonesian Rubber Export Supply for 1995-2015

Mulyani MULYANI,Kusnandar KUSNANDAR,Ernoiz ANTRIYANDARTI 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.1

This study aims is to determine the factors that influence Indonesian rubber export supply based on the export destination countries. Indonesian rubber export supply is thought to be influenced by the variables like the volume of Indonesia rubber exports, the price of Indonesian natural rubber, the volume of domestic rubber production, the export volume of the previous period, the rupiah exchange rate against US$, the interest rate and real Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The data used is the annual time series from 1995-2015 based on export countries encompassing the United States, China, and Japan. Multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method is applied to analyse the data. The results showed that the volume of Indonesian rubber exports to China is not influenced by domestic natural rubber prices and the Rupiah exchange rate against the Chinese Yuan. The volume of Indonesian rubber exports to Japan is influenced by the volume of domestic rubber production. The volume of Indonesian rubber exports to the three destination countries is influenced by the volume of domestic rubber production, interest rate, and real GDP.

Physicochemical Properties of Gelatin Extracted from Buffalo Hide Pretreated with Different Acids

        Sri Mulyani,Francis.M.C,Sigit Setyabudi,Yudi Pranoto,Umar Santoso 한국축산식품학회 2017 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.37 No.5

The acid pretreatment of collagen molecules disrupts their crosslinks and assists in the release of acid-soluble proteins, fats, and other components. Generally, to achieve optimum extraction efficiency, strong acids may be used at a lower acid concentration compared to weak acids. This study aimed to determine the yield and physicochemical properties of gelatins extracted from buffalo hides pretreated with different acids. Hides were extracted with hydrochloric, citric, and acetic acids at concentrations of 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, and 1.5 M. A completely randomized design and the least significant difference test were used in the experimental design, and all measurements were performed in triplicate. The highest yield (29.17%) was obtained from pretreatment with 0.9 M HCl. The gel strength did not differ significantly (p>0.05) according to acid type (280.26-259.62 g Bloom), and the highest viscosity was obtained from the 0.6 M citric acid pretreatment. All the gelatins contained α- and β-chain components and several degraded peptides (24-66 kDa). The color and Fourier-transform infrared spectrum of the gelatin extracted using 0.9 M HCl were similar to those of commercial bovine skin gelatin. In general, the physicochemical properties of the gelatin complied with the industry standard set by the Gelatin Manufacturers Institute of America, revealing that buffalo hide could serve as a potential alternative source of gelatin.

        Vina Hariasih Mulyani,Ida Puspita Sari,Asrining Pangastuti 한국서비스디자인학회 2023 한국서비스디자인학회 학술대회자료집 Vol.2023 No.1

Surabaya has a large population so that the waste produced per year is also large. Besides that many people choose to ride private vehicles rather than public transportation. Given that the Surabaya city government organizes tourism-based public transportation known as Suroboyo Bus. The type of research used in this paper was descriptive observational with a qualitative approach. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Suroboyo Bus to change behavior of Surabaya fs citizen. Suroboyo Bus is used as a tourism transportation for people who want to get around Surabaya and help to reduce the impact of plastic bottles in the area. The Suroboyo Bus ’’ system that has been formed by the Surabaya City government is already good. However, the implementation still has many weaknesses. The weaknesses that are still possessed by Suroboyo Bus need to be overcome so that the services provided can be optimal. There are many things which should be done to increase the quality of Suroboyo Bus The time needed for waiting must be shorter than before, it must reduce the comando ’s time to be more efficient. A monitor on the bus that displays the real purpose of the payment system and information about various tourist attractions can help the users. The routes of Suroboyo Bus should be added again in order to cover all tourist attractions in Surabaya. The stricter regulation that says that the number of plastic bottles / glasses is for 2 hours of travel shoul be real action. Cooperation with the sanitation and landscaping service that moves on improving environmental conditions also help to optimalize the system of Suroboyo Bus.

The Role of Financial Management Accountability in Enhancing Organizational Performance in Indonesia

MUKTIADJI, Nusa,MULYANI, Sri,DJANEGARA, Moermahadi Soerja,PAMUNGKAS, Bambang Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.12

The study aims to investigate the implementation of the internal quality assurance system (IQAS) on HEIs performance, mediated by financial management accountability. The commitment from foundation leadership on financial management accountability and their implications for HEIs' performance is also carefully examined. This study employs samples of 108 respondents from the leadership of private HEIs under Region IV Service Institutions. The purposive sampling, as a part of non-probability sampling was chosen as the sampling technique. Statistical data analysis conducted by use the structural equation model to test the hypothesis. The results reveal that the implementation of IQAS does not influence the financial management accountability, but it has an essential role on HEIs' performance. Moreover, foundation leadership's commitment has a significant positive effect on financial management accountability and HEIs' performance. Financial management accountability also has a significant positive effect on HEIs' performance. Financial management becomes important because the entire activities of HEIs should end with financial reporting. Therefore, financial and non-financial aspects are two interrelated and complementary aspects in the accreditation process. The findings of this study suggest that that performance measurement is very crucial as a part of the efforts to meet the general accountability requirement for organizations, particularly in HEIs.

Developing Business Management Strategy Based on the Factors that Affecting Willingness to Pay Tax: Evidence from Indonesia

        Vitra Yozi,Sri Mulyani,Citra Sukmadilaga,Hamdi A Pertama 대한산업공학회 2019 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.18 No.3

This study aims to prove the relationship between just implementation of taxation regulations and tax law enforcement and tax evasion rates and willingness to pay taxes in Indonesia. Data analysis using the structural equation modelling approach. The results of this study prove that (1) just implementation of tax regulations affects the level of tax evasion but does not affect taxpayer willingness to pay; (2) tax law enforcement lowers the rate of tax evasion and increases taxpayer willingness to pay; and (3) a decrease in the tax evasion rate has an impact on increasing taxpayer willingness to pay.

      • Implementation of Mechanization Model for Rice Production System and Strengthening Farmer Institutions in Sidowayah Village, Klaten District, Central Java

        ( Uning Budiharti ),( Reni Jualiana ),( Mulyani ),( Daragantina ) 한국농업기계학회 2018 한국농업기계학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.23 No.1

Model of implementation Mechanization for Rice Production System is done in Sidowayah Village, Klaten district, Central Java Province. The research method is institutional approach with the rationale of corporate development in developing integrated agricultural area by applying Economies of scale, which the principle is the wider the more efficient, in term of business cost which includes plant management, production facility cost, transportation costs and marketing costs of farm products. Through the cooperative there will be consolidation of business that facilitate access of information, capital, and bergaining poistion in the market. The essence of the corporate concept is to build cooperation through a single management system, by merging small farms into a large scale business that meets economies of scale to become more efficient, high productivity, homogeneous products, and higher production quality that are prerequisites for improving competitiveness, added value and improve production quality. Institutional factors is an important element in the successful implementation of mechanization, technical assistance and management is necessary to improve the performance of gapoktan ( group of farmer group) institutional. Reformion to empower gapoktan as the main driver in rice production system, from the land preparation to harvesting and marketing activities. Institutional strengthening includes technical and management, from technical aspect of operator training and basic maintenance of machines. As for the management, the method is meetings, socialization, discussion and comparative studies. Strengthening gapoktan institutions in synergy with BUMDES (village owned corporation) empowering gapoktan to handle rice production system from supplying farm input, land preparation, transplanting, weeding, harvesting and selling the paddy. And this new system increase farmer income Rp 1.5 to 2 million per stakes (1 stakes = 1/3 ha). So the implementing rice mechanization is directly give profit for farmers.

Mathematical Model for Revenue Management with Overbooking and Costly Price Adjustment for Hotel Industries

Masruroh, Nur Aini,Mulyani, Yun Prihantina Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers 2013 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.12 No.3

Revenue management (RM) has been widely used to model products characterized as perishable. Classical RM model assumed that price is the sole factor in the model. Thus price adjustment becomes a crucial and costly factor in business. In this paper, an optimal pricing model is developed based on minimization of soft customer cost, one kind of price adjustment cost and is solved by Lagrange multiplier method. It is formed by expected discounted revenue/bid price integrating quantity-based RM and pricing-based RM. Quantity-based RM consists of two capacity models, namely, booking limit and overbooking. Booking limit, built by assuming uncertain customer arrival, decides the optimal capacity allocation for two market segments. Overbooking determines the level of accepted order exceeding capacity to anticipate probability of cancellation. Furthermore, pricing-based RM models occupancy/demand rate influenced by internal and competitor price changes. In this paper, a mathematical model based on game theoretic approach is developed for two conditions of deterministic and stochastic demand. Based on the equilibrium point, the best strategy for both hotels can be determined.

CgGH insertion functional domain analysis in transgenic G1 and G2 and G3 mutiara catfish (Clarias gariepinus) broodstock

Buwono Ibnu Dwi,Grandiosa Roffi,Mulyani Yuniar 한국수산과학회 2022 Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Vol.25 No.1

Catfish is one of the most important freshwater fish farming commodities in Indonesia. Higher catfish production can be achieved by cultivating transgenic catfish carrying the growth hormone (GH) gene of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus GH, CgGH). This research focuses on analysis of the presence of the CgGH gene in transgenic G1, G2, and G3 mutiara catfish broodstock, as an indication of stable CgGH inheritance. CgGH gene was isolated using the RNeasy mini kit and RT-PCR. RT-PCR revealed amplicons measuring approximately 600 bp in transgenic G0, G1, G2, and G3 mutiara catfish. The CgGH consensus sequence similarities ranged from 93.76% to 97.06%, with four functional domain sites (somatotropin-1, somatotropin-2, four α-helix, N-glycosylation, four cysteine residues) of fish GH proteins. The functional domains of fish GH proteins are conserved in G1, G2, and G3 and indicate stable exogenous GH inheritance to produce transgenic catfish strains in each generation.
