        Three-dimensional Network Structure of Conductive Composites by Hybrid Conductive Fillers of Silver/graphene

        In order to explore new generations of interconnecting materials in electronic packaging industries, silvernanoparticles (Ag NPS) and graphene nanosheets (GNS) were introduced into matrix resin to prepare conductive composites. The electrical and mechanical of above electrically conductive adhesives (ECAs) were investigated and characterized. It wasfound that the ECAs can be solidified through a chemical sintering in the air at 150 oC for 30 min. The results indicated thatthe percolation threshold of resistivity reaches 3.5×10-4 Ω·cm for ECAs filled with 65 wt.% Ag NPS, 0.5 wt.% GNS and theshear strength reaches 10.8 MPa, suggesting excellent electric conductivity and bonding strength.

      • A Comparative Study of the Features of Reclusive Design in China's Lüdao Fang Residence Garden and Korea's Yunjeong Gotaek

        Background: The classical gardens of China and South Korea, rich in traditional cultural connotations, provide a respite from the emptiness and anxiety brought by modern society. This is closely tied to the involvement of scholarly hermits, who represented the learned and morally cultivated class in the ancient garden constructions of both countries. Studying the spatial characteristics of these hermitage gardens is important for modern spatial design. Purpose:This research compares representative residential hermitage gardens in China and South Korea - the Lüdao Fang Residence Garden and the Yin Zheng Ancient Residence. It identifies the similarities and differences in their spatial features and the reasons behind these variations.It also explores the potential applications of these characteristics in contemporary spatial design. Methods: The study begins with a literature review to define the concept of hermitage gardens. It then proceeds with on-site and documentary research of the Lüdao Fang Residence Garden and the Yunjeong Gotaek, analyzing and comparing the spatial attributes of these two gardens. Results: Both gardens reflect the hermitage philosophies of "Moderate Reclusion" and "Confucian Hermitage," chosen for their locations in scenic, tranquil, and harmonious settings. However, their relationships with urban areas differ; both prioritize the creation of spaces that are secluded yet connected. Conclusion: Analyzing and comparing their reclusive cultural characteristics deepens and refines the understanding of Chinese garden art theory and hermit culture. It also provides a theoretical foundation for further exploring their revitalization and promoting creative transformation and innovative development in Eastern classical garden art.

      • Isotope Programming Model for Context aware Application

        The context-aware application’s main feature is that the program can adjust its behavior according to the context environment. In the traditional object-oriented model, behaviors related to the context may be separated through branching statement, thus greatly reducing the degree of adaptation to environmental changes. This paper, after analyzing the issue of programming context-aware applications through the object-oriented model, puts forward Isotope Programming Model(IPM), which enlarges the concept of object and converts the object from the aggregation of attribute and behavior into the aggregation of attribute and a series of behavior code documents directed to different context. The analysis of IPM performances reveals that IPM model provides better adaptability for application development than the object-oriented model, and reduces environmental changes' impact. This paper also proposes the reason of isotope element’s conflict and gives the resolve method for the conflicts, which can make the IPM model more effective.

        ZrO2 and Y2O3-stablized ZrO2 coatings deposited using an arc ion plating technique

        ZrO2 and Y2O3-stablized ZrO2 (YSZ) coatings were deposited on NiCoCrAlY coated superalloys using an arc ion plating system. The crystalline structure, chemical composition, and morphology of the coatings were systematically investigated using X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, as well as scanning electron microscopy. The thermal stability of YSZ coatings were investigated by oxidation and thermal shock tests. The results showed that near-stoichiometric ZrO2 coatings can be obtained at a relatively large range of O2 flow rates (134-400 sccm), with the main phase of monolithic zirconia being identified. YSZ coatings exhibited excellent thermal stability in the oxidation and thermal shock tests. Before and after thermal tests, only the tetragonal zirconia (t-ZrO2) phase was identified in the YSZ coatings.

      • Pretreatment Thrombocytosis as a Prognostic Factor in Women with Gynecologic Malignancies: a Meta-analysis

        Background: This study was performed to analyze the prognostic implications of pretreatment or preoperative thrombocytosis in women with gynecologic malignancies. Material and Methods: We surveyed 2 medical databases, PubMed and EMBASE, to identified all relevant studies. A total of 14 (n=3,490) that evaluated the link between thrombocytosis and 5-year survival were included. REVMAN version 5.1 was used for our analysis and publication bias was evaluated using the Begg's funnel plot and tested by STATA 11.0. Risk ratios (RRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) generated by the random effect model were used to assess the strength of any association. Results: 709(20.3%) of the 3,490 patients exhibited thrombocytosis (platelet counts > $400{\times}10^9/L$) at primary diagnosis, and their mortality was 1.62-fold higher compared with the others (RR=1.62, 95%CI=[1.28-2.05], p<0.0001). Thrombocytosis failed to have a stronger effect on the survival of advanced patients of stages III to IV in our study (n=478, RR=1.29, 95% CI=[1.13-1.48], p=0.0003), nor in women with cervical cancer in stage IB (n=1371, RR=1.73, 95% CI=[1.71-2.58], p=0.007). In addition, when adjusted for different carcinoma, it was associated with worse prognosis for all except the ones with vulvar cancer (n=201, RR=0.43, 95% CI=[0.14-1.29], p=0.13). Conclusions: This meta-analysis indicated that thrombocytosis might be associated with a worse prognosis for patients with gynecologic malignancies but without specificity or sensitivity for the ones in advanced stage. When adjusted for different gynecologic malignancies, it showed a significant effect on survival of all except vulvar cancers.

        This paper comparatively studies on literary works of Lee Mae Chang and Yu Xuan Ji who respectively represent Korean and Chinese prostitute poets, intended to conduct a further study on the life of Lee and her literature world in Korean period, and the life of Yu and her literature reality in Tang Dynasty. Though Lee and Yu were 700 years apart with different nationalities, they are counterparts in term of their status, talents in literature and other aspects. As for the features of their works, from female perspective, their internal feeling tones about love and departure in their works are not constrained by common customs but reflect the real feelings in the mortal world. The comparative studies on the life stories and works of Lee Mae Chang and Yu Xuan Ji, two representative prostitute poets, are of great significance to understand Korean and Chinese literature. It can provide an opportunity and basis for the continuous study on women``s literature, which will further enrich the classical Korean and Chinese literature.

        엉겅퀴의 스코폴라민 유도 인지능 손상에 대한 개선 효과 및 보호 기전 탐색

        Scopolamine induces cholinergic dysfunction and oxidative stress, which leads to cognitive impairment. In the present study, we investigated the mechanisms by which Cirsium japonicum var. maackii (CJM) improved cognitive impairment in scopolamine-injected mice. Mice were administered an ethyl acetate fraction of CJM (EACJM, 50 and 100 mg/kg) for 14 days, and were injected intraperitoneally with scopolamine (1.5 mg/kg) for 8 days. To determine the protective effect of EACJM against memory loss in mice, T-maze, novel object recognition (NOR), and Morris water maze (MWM) tests were conducted using a scopolamine-treated mouse model. The protective mechanisms of EACJM in the brain were studied using western blotting. Scopolamine-induced memory dysfunction in mice was confirmed using behavioral tests, including T-maze, NOR, and MWM. However, results showed that EACJM effectively alleviated memory impairment in scopolamine-treated mice. Brain weight of EACJM-treated mice increased compared to that of scopolamine-injected mice. EACJM also downregulated acetylcholinesterase and upregulated brain-derived neurotrophic factor and phosphorylated cAMP response element-binding protein, indicating that EACJM ameliorated scopolamine-induced cognitive impairment. In addition, EACJM downregulated the B-cell lymphoma-2-associated X protein/B-cell lymphoma-2 ratio, indicating that EACJM blocked the apoptosis of neuronal cells. These results indicated that EACJM may be a useful therapeutic agent for preventing cognitive impairment in neurodegenerative diseases.

        한·중 여성 유선시 시어 비교 연구

        유선시는 한시의 체제를 갖추고 작가와 신선이 교유하면서 신선세계를 환유(幻遊)하거나 연단복식(鍊丹服食)하는 것을 묘사하는 작품이다. 이 연구에서는 한국의 허난설헌(許蘭雪軒)·허소설헌(許少雪軒)·이매창(李梅窓), 그리고 중국의 낙기란(&#39558;&#32494;&#20848;)·고태청(&#39038;太&#28165;)·섭소난(&#21494;小&#40510;)·심선보(沈善&#23453;)의 유선시 작품을 대상으로 시어를 유형별로 정리하고, 이를 분석한다. 시어를 비교함으로써, 한·중 여성 시인이 즐겨 사용한 시어와 소재, 제재 등을 확인할 수 있다. 그리고 빈도수가 많은 시어를 살펴보면 한·중 여성 유선시 작품의 특징을 도출할 수 있을 것이다. Focusing on the poetic language in the female poems about fairyland excursion in Korea and China, this paper selects the works of Korean poetesses including Heonanseolheon, Heososeolheon and Maechang, and Chinese poetesses including Luo Qilan, Gu Taiqing, Ye XiaoLuan and ShenShanBao, extracts and classifies the poetic language into different categories, such as verbs and adjectives, and makes a list of the words with high frequency. Through the analysis and comparison of the poetic language, we can know about the commonly-used words, materials and subjects by Korean and Chinese poetesses, and further identify the characteristics of the female poems about fairyland excursion in Korea and China.

        Microstructural control of Cr–Si–N films by a hybrid arc ion plating and magnetron sputtering process

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>The microstructural evolution of Cr–Si–N films deposited by a hybrid arc ion plating and magnetron sputtering process was investigated by varying the sputtering power of Si target and substrate bias voltage. Detailed nanocomposite microstructures of the films were studied by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results indicated that the incorporation of Si into the growing CrN films at 0V led to the formation of a nanocomposite containing CrN nanocolumns embedded in amorphous SiN<I><SUB>x</SUB></I> matrix or near-amorphous microstructure. For the films having a Si content of ∼10at.% and ∼15at.%, a negative bias voltage of −50V resulted in the aggregation of nanocolumns in the amorphous matrix. Further increase of negative bias voltage to −250V led to the formation of a three-dimensional CrN/a-SiN<I><SUB>x</SUB></I> nanocomposite microstructure. The mechanism of microstructure evolution is discussed by considering the thermodynamic and kinetic factors.</P>

      • Sensitization of Cervical Carcinoma Cells to Paclitaxel by an IPP5 Active Mutant

        Paclitaxel is one of the best anticancer agents that has been isolated from plants, but its major disadvantage is its dose-limiting toxicity. In this study, we obtained evidence that the active mutant IPP5 ($8-60hIPP5^m$), the latest member of the inhibitory molecules for protein phosphatase 1, sensitizes human cervix carcinoma cells HeLa more efficiently to the therapeutic effects of paclitaxel. The combination of $8-60hIPP5^m$ with paclitaxel augmented anticancer effects as compared to paclitaxel alone as evidenced by reduced DNA synthesis and increased cytotoxicity in HeLa cells. Furthermore, our results revealed that $8-60hIPP5^m$ enhances paclitaxel-induced G2/M arrest and apoptosis, and augments paclitaxel-induced activation of caspases and release of cytochrome C. Evaluation of signaling pathways indicated that this synergism was in part related to downregulation of NF-${\kappa}B$ activation and serine/threonine kinase Akt pathways. We noted that $8-60hIPP5^m$ downregulated the paclitaxel-induced NF-${\kappa}B$ activation, $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ degradation, PI3-K activity and phosphorylation of the serine/threonine kinase Akt, a survival signal which in many instances is regulated by NF-${\kappa}B$. Together, our observations indicate that paclitaxel in combination with $8-60hIPP5^m$ may provide a therapeutic advantage for the treatment of human cervical carcinoma.
