A survey was carried out in order to figure out of phenomenon of increasing and decreasing rate of WBC during a day in normal and healthy rat by injection ACTH. For this survey, it was classified by two groups 20 male rat and 20 female rat that are 8 month old. This blood sampling was collected by thin smear method 10 times from 10:30 A. M. to next 8:30 A. M. by 2 hours intervals and calculated by direct manual method. As the results of this survey, the following conclusions were obtained. 1. Increase and decrease of neutrophil and lymphocyte was almost same with control. 2. Eosinophil was decreased after two and four hours by injected ACTH.
hTERT mediates norepinephrine-induced Slug expression and ovarian cancer aggressiveness

Stress hormones have been implicated in both tumor initiation and progression. Human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) is overexpressed in cancer cells and associated with malignant tumor progression and poor outcome. We thus sought to determine whether the stress hormone norepinephrine (NE) could induce hTERT expression and subsequently ovarian cancer progression. Unexpectedly, NE induced hTERT transcript and protein expression, and subsequently ovarian cancer cell invasion. Pharmacologic inhibition of β2-adrenergic receptor 2 and protein kinase A, as well as silencing of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α and c-Myc expression, profoundly attenuated NE-induced hTERT expression. Strikingly, stimulation of the cells with NE or ectopic expression of hTERT induced expression of Slug, ovarian cancer cell epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and invasion. Silencing of hTERT expression abrogated NE-induced ovarian cancer cell invasion, EMT and Slug expression. In addition, silencing of Slug expression significantly inhibited NE- and hTERT-induced ovarian cancer cell EMT and invasion. Moreover, continuous exposure to NE was sufficient to enhance in vivo hTERT expression and metastasis of ovarian cancer cells to the lung. Finally, we provide evidence that hTERT links Src to Slug expression in NE-induced ovarian cancer EMT and metastasis. We thus demonstrate a novel role of hTERT in stress hormone-induced ovarian cancer aggressiveness through inducing Slug, providing novel biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets for ovarian cancer.
The Response of Brassica Species Against NaCl Stress During Germination and Seedling Growth

Experiment was carried out to observe seed germination and seedling growth of Brassica species such as cabbage (Brassica oleracea capitata L.), cauliflower (Brassica oleracea botrytis L.) and canola (Brassica napus) in four treatments of salinity including 0.0 (control), 0.5, 0.8 and 1.0% NaCl. The results showed that different concentration of salinity had considerable effects on the germination, germination rate and root and shoot length of canola, cabbage and cauliflower. Germination percentage in all three species showed significant decrease with increasing salinity up to 1.0% NaCl. This decrease was more in cabbage as compared to canola and cauliflower. The required time for germination increased with high levels of salinity. The seedling growth of three plant species was also strongly inhibited by all salinity concentrations. Particularly at 1.0% NaCl, no measurable length was observed in all plant species. At 0.5% and 0.8% NaCl root growth of all three plant species were more affected then shoot growth by salinity. However this decrease was more prominent in cauliflower as compared to canola and cabbage.
