        On Strongly Extending Modules

        Atani, S. Ebrahimi,Khoramdel, M.,Hesari, S. Dolati Pish Department of Mathematics 2014 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.54 No.2

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of strongly extending modules which are particular subclass of the class of extending modules, and study some basic properties of this new class of modules. A module M is called strongly extending if each submodule of M is essential in a fully invariant direct summand of M. In this paper we examine the behavior of the class of strongly extending modules with respect to the preservation of this property in direct summands and direct sums and give some properties of these modules, for instance, strongly summand intersection property and weakly co-Hopfian property. Also such modules are characterized over commutative Dedekind domains.

RESEARCH Open Access : Carcass traits, meat yield and fatty acid composition of adipose tissues and Supraspinatus muscle in goats fed blend of canola oil and palm oil

        ( K. D. Adeyemi ),( M. Ebrahimi ),( A. A. Samsudin ),( A. B. Sabow ),( A. Q. Sazili ) 한국동물자원과학회(구 한국축산학회) 2015 한국축산학회지 Vol.57 No.42

Background: Dietary fats can alter the deposition and distribution of body fats in ruminants. The deposition and distribution of body fat play a vital role in the quality of ruminant carcasses and are of great commercial value since they influence the profitability and consumer acceptability of ruminant meat. The current study examined the effects of dietary blend of 80 % canola oil and 20 % palm oil (BCPO) on carcass characteristics, meat yield and accretion of fatty acid (FA) in subcutaneous, omental, perirenal, and mesentery adipose depots and m. supraspinatus (SS) in goats. Methods: Twenty four Boer crossbred bucks (BW 20.54 ± 0.47 kg) were randomly assigned to diets containing on DM basis 0, 4 and 8 % BCPO, fed for 100 d and harvested. Results: Diet had no effect (P > 0.05) on slaughter weight, dressing percentage, carcass and non-carcass components, meat yield, color, moisture and carotenoid contents and weight of adipose tissues in goats. The proportion of C18:1n-9 and cis-9 trans-11 CLA in the omental, perirenal and SS was higher (P < 0.05) in goats fed 4 and 8 % BCPO compared with the control goats. Dietary BCPO reduced (P < 0.05) the proportion of C14:0 in the omental, perirenal and mesentery depots, C18:0 in the perirenal depot, C16:0 in the SS and C16:1n-7 in the SS, omental and perirenal tissues. Dietary BCPO enhanced the proportion of C18:1 trans-11 Vaccenic and C18:3n-3 in SS and C20:5n-3 in SS and mesentery depot. No significant changes were found in the FA composition of subcutaneous depot. Conclusions: Results indicate that dietary BCPO can be utilized to alter the FA composition of adipose tissues without detrimental effects on carcass characteristics in goats. Nonetheless, dietary BCPO is not an effective repartitioning agent for body fats in goats.

        Cauchy Completeness of κ-frames

        M. M. Ebrahimi,M. Mahmoudi,M. Vojdani Tabatabaee 경북대학교 자연과학대학 수학과 2004 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.44 No.4

Considering general Cauchy filters for κ-frames, we prove some results about completeness, given by Banaschewski, for κ-frames. In particular, we show that a uniform-frame L is complete if and only if every general regular Cauchy filter of L is convergent.

Wear properties of brass samples subjected to constrained groove pressing process

        Ebrahimi, M.,Attarilar, Sh.,Djavanroodi, F.,Gode, C.,Kim, H.S. BUTTERWORTH - HEINEMANN 2014 MATERIALS AND DESIGN Vol.63 No.-

Ultrafine grained materials have experienced a rapid development during the last two decades. Constrained groove pressing (CGP) process is one of the severe plastic deformation methods to fabricate ultrafine grain sheet materials. In this research, wear behavior of brass sheet subjected to CGP process was investigated. Generally it is shown that CGP process enhances the wear resistance of the material and this behavior is improved by increasing pass number. Also, the effect of initial pass and lower applied normal load on the wear resistance is more profound than subsequent passes and higher applied normal load, respectively. In addition, the influence of normal load is more profound than pass number at the increment of friction force. Although CGP process results in reduction at the specific wear rate, the influence of the first pass is much higher than the subsequent ones. Furthermore, lower specific wear rate is occurred at the higher applied normal load. The scanning electron microscopy analyses indicated that the wear mechanism is transferred from adhesion, delamination, abrasion and oxidation for the annealed condition to abrasion and adhesion for the third pass CGP sample. Also, it is found that there is a reverse relationship between specific wear rate and hardness.

Detection of Broken Bars in Induction Motors, Using Neural Network

        M. Ebrahimi,M. Moradian,M. Danesh,M. bayat 전력전자학회 2006 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.6 No.3

This paper presents a method based on neural networks to detect the broken rotor bars and end rings of squirrel cage induction motors. At first, detection methods are studied, and then traditional methods of fault detection and dynamic models of induction motors by using winding function model are introduced. In this method, all of the stator slots and rotor bars are considered, thus the performance of the motor in healthy situations or breakage in each part can be checked. The frequency spectrum of current signals is derived by using Fourier transformation and is analyzed in different conditions. In continuation, an analytical discussion and a simple algorithm are presented to detect the fault. This algorithm is based on neural networks. The neural network has been trained by using information of a 1.1 KW induction motor. This system has been tested with a different amount of load torque, and it is capable of working on-line and of recognizing all normal and ill conditions.

Composition of Derivations on (semi) Prime I-rings

        M. Mehdi Ebrahimi,H. Pajoohesh 경북대학교 자연과학대학 수학과 2004 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.44 No.2

In this paper first we show that the iterationdn ; n 2; of a non zero derivation d on a semi-prime `-ring R is not a derivation, and henced can not be nilpotent. Then we see that if R is prime and d1; ;dn ; n 2; are positive derivations on R with d1 dn a derivation, then at least one of these derivations must be zero. Finally, taking R to be a semiprime f-ring, we show that if for every x 2 R; dn (x) is central, then, under some mild conditions, there is a nonzero inner derivation on R such that (x)d(x) = d(x)(x) = 0.These results generalizes and improves the ones in [3], [8], and [9]. And show that imposing an order on a ring, making it an ordered ring, gives stronger results.
