      • Isolation and Expression Analysis of a GDSL-like Lipase Gene from Brassica napus L.

Ling, Hua,Zhao, Jingya,Zuo, Kaijing,Qiu, Chengxiang,Yao, Hongyan,Qin, Jie,Sun, Xiaofen,Tang, Kexuan Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biol 2006 Journal of biochemistry and molecular biology Vol.39 No.3

As lipolytic enzymes, GDSL lipases play an important role in plant growth and development. In order to identify their functions and roles, the full-length cDNA of a GDSL lipase gene, designated BnLIP2, was isolated from Brassica napus L. BnLIP2 was 1,300 bp long, with 1,122 bp open reading frame (ORF) encoding 373 amino acid residues. Sequence analysis indicated that BnLIP2 belonged to GDSL family. Southern blot analysis indicated that BnLIP2 belonged to a small gene family in rapeseed genome. RT-PCR analysis revealed that BnLIP2 was a tissue-specific expressing gene during reproductive growth and strongly expressed during seed germination. BnLIP2 expression could not be detected until three days after germination, and it subsequently became stronger. The transcript of this gene was deficient in root of seedlings growing at different stages. When juvenile seedlings were treated by methyl jasmonate (MeJ), salicylic acid (SA) and naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), BnLIP2 expression could not be induced in root. Our study implicates that BnLIP2 probably plays an important role in rapeseed germination, morphogenesis, flowering, but independent of root growth and development.

A STATISTICAL STUDY OF SOLAR ELECTRON EVENTS OVER ONE SOLAR CYCLE

        Wang, Linghua,Lin, R. P.,Krucker, Sä,m,Mason, Glenn M. IOP Publishing 2012 The Astrophysical journal Vol.759 No.1

<P>We survey the statistical properties of 1191 solar electron events observed by the WIND 3DP instrument from <1 keV to greater than or similar to 300 keVfor a solar cycle (1995 through 2005). After taking into account times of high background, the corrected occurrence frequency of solar electron events versus peak flux exhibits a power-law distribution over three orders of magnitude with exponents between -1.0 and -1.6 for different years, comparable to the frequency distribution of solar proton events, microflares, and coronal mass ejections (CMEs), but significantly flatter than that of soft X-ray (SXR) flares. At 40 keV (2.8 keV), the integrated occurrence rate above similar to 0.29 (similar to 330) cm(-2) s(-1) sr(-1) keV(-1) near 1 AU is similar to 1000 year(-1) (similar to 600 year(-1)) at solar maximum and similar to 35 year(-1) (similar to 25 year(-1)) at solar minimum, about an order of magnitude larger than the observed occurrence rate. We find these events typically extend over similar to 45 degrees in longitude, implying the occurrence rate over the whole Sun is similar to 10(4) year(-1) near solar maximum. The observed solar electron events have a 98.75% association with type III radio bursts, suggesting all type III bursts may be associated with a solar electron event. They have a close (similar to 76%) association with the presence of low-energy (similar to 0.02-2 MeV nucleon(-1)), He-3-rich (He-3/He-4 >= 0.01) ion emissions measured by the ACE ULEIS instrument. For these electron events, only similar to 35% are associated with a reported GOES SXR flare, but similar to 60% appear to be associated with a CME, with similar to 50% of these CMEs being narrow. These electrons are often detected down to below 1 keV, indicating a source high in the corona.</P>

      • Research on Sports Video Analysis Based on Rules

        Hui Li,Linghua Ran,Yang Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.8 No.11

Motivated by principles of natural language processing, we talk about rule-based methods for sports video analysis and propose a video parsing system by using grammar. Firstly, we segments video into elementary shots. Then through event detection, shots are annotated with semantic labels to form a token sequence. Finally, the sequence is parsed and validated with grammar to construct a table of content for the video. Different from other systems in the literature, our system is not only able to annotate semantic events, but also able to recognize hierarchical game structures of sports videos. Thus, it satisfies user’s requirements better.

Chlorogenic Acid-Enriched Extract of Ilex kudingcha C.J. Tseng Inhibits Angiogenesis in Zebrafish

        Tao Zhong,Linghua Piao,김현정,Xian De Liu,Shengnan Jiang,Guomin Liu 한국식품영양과학회 2017 Journal of medicinal food Vol.20 No.12

Kudingcha is a particularly bitter tasting tea that has been widely used in China to eliminate fever and itching eyes, and to clear blood toxins. Kudingcha is considered of value for its potential anticancer effects that are attributed to the presence of characteristic bioactive ingredients. The chlorogenic acid (CGA) derivatives 3-0-caffeoylquinic acid, 5-0-caffeoylquinic acid, 3,5-0-dicaffeoylquinic acid, and 4,5-0-dicaffeoylquinic acid were separated from Ilex kudingcha C.J. Tseng extract by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)–photodiode array detector (PDA) and HPLC-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). In Tg(flk1:EGFP) zebrafish embryos at 52 hours postfertilization (hpf), angiogenesis was significantly inhibited by kudingcha extract (KDCE) at concentrations of 400 and 500 μg/mL and CGA also showed significant inhibition in embryos treated with 80, 100, and 130 μg/mL. Endothelial cell apoptosis showed a dose-dependent increase in response to KDCE and CGA. CGA derivatives from KDCE could have potential as anticancer agents against tumor angiogenesis.

Structural Transformation and Dyeing Performance of Poly(Ethylene Terephthalate) Filament Using Dicationic Imidazolium Ionic Liquid

        Haiying Wang,Qiaoping Li,Linghua Zhuang,Guowei Wang,Jie Sun 한국섬유공학회 2018 Fibers and polymers Vol.19 No.1

3,3'-[1,2-ethanediylbis (oxy-2,1-ethanediyl)]-bis[1-methyl-imidazolium]-dibromide (DImDBr), a gemini imidazolium ionic liquid, was synthesized for the modification and dyeing promotion of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) filaments. The results showed that parameters such as treatment temperature, time, and DImDBr concentration played a critical role on the tensile strength and tensile strength retention of modified PET filaments. The optimal treatment parameters of the PET filaments were 120 ℃ for 90 min with addition of 6 % ionic liquid. The influence of disperse dyeing parameters (temperature, time, and dye concentration) on DImDBr modified PET filaments were also studied. The disperse dyed PET filaments (after treatment with DImDBr) exhibited a desirable color strength (K/S value), excellent soap washing fastness, light fastness, and rubbing fastness. Furthermore, the native PET filaments and DImDBr treated PET filaments werecharacterized by FT-IR, XRD, DSC, TGA, and SEM. Density functional theory (DFT) simulation showed the presence of two kinds of hydrogen bonds (C-H/O and O-H/Br) and eight strong hydrogen bonds in the DImDBr/cis-PET monomers, while only three hydrogen bonds were found in the DImDBr/trans-PET monomers. The structural transformation from the crystalline phase to the amorphous phase (FT-IR, XRD, and DFT simulation) after DImDBr modification confirmed thedyeing promotion of PET filaments at lower temperature.

Temperature Effect Analysis of Large Segment Factory Manufacturing Alignment of Steel Box Girder

        Deng Fuqiang,Wang Jinfeng,Yang Songwei,Xu Linghua,Xu Rongqiao 한국강구조학회 2024 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.24 No.1

The construction of the cross-sea steel box girder bridge is gradually advancing and integrating, which particularly refl ects in the size of the bridge. The length of a single installation segment often exceeds 100 m. The alignment of the steel box girder is signifi cantly aff ected by the temperature eff ect during manufacturing. This paper investigates the impact of temperature gradient on corresponding alignment at the manufacturing stage for the large-segment steel box girder taking a large-span continuous steel box girder bridge as a case study. The inspection of temperature during the assembly procedure was carried out. After obtaining the data during welding, the infl uence of the temperature was evaluated using a fi nite element model. The results show that with the temperature gradient measured, the defl ection of the second suspension of the mid-span reaches 10.9 mm and the defl ection of the cantilever end reaches 17.1 mm, respectively. The deformation conforms to the code specifi cations when considering the infl uence of the temperature gradient eff ect. The corresponding pre-camber value should be set for the large segments assembled outdoor. At the same time, welding operation should be carried out under the preset temperature diff erence to partially eliminate the impact of temperature gradient.

Comparative Metabolite Profiling and Hormone Analysis of Perennial and Annual Rice

        Xiuqin Zhao,Ting Zhang,Liyu Huang,Huimin Wu,Fengyi Hu,Fan Zhang,Linghua Zhu,Binying Fu 한국식물학회 2012 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.55 No.1

Perenniality is one of the important topics in rice breeding which is generally accompanied by complex physiobiochemical processes. To understand the metabolic characteristics of perennial rice, in the present study, gas chromatography–mass spectrometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays were used to profile the distribution patterns of 33 primary metabolites and hormones [indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and zeatin riboside (ZR)] of annual (RD23) and perennial (Oryza longistaminata and the line AA with RD23 genetic background) rice genotypes. Results showed that both metabolites and hormones have distinct genotype and organ distribution patterns, and considerable variations were observed between the metabolites in stem bases of perennial and annual rice. Most of the metabolites, including sugars, organic acids, and amino acids, significantly accumulated in the stem bases of perennial rice by decreasing the level in roots and leaves. Fifteen metabolites consistently accumulated significantly in the stem bases of both perennial genotypes. Additionally, the organ-level IAA content and IAA/ZR ratio in the two perennials were considerably higher than those in RD23. The present study indicated that the significant accumulation of the metabolites at stem base and the higher IAA/ZR ratio are involved
