Vibration Analysis of a Multi-span Continuous Bridge Subject to Complex Traffic Loading and Vehicle Dynamic Interaction

Lingbo Wang,Xin Kang,Peiwen Jiang 대한토목학회 2016 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.20 No.1

A numerical analysis of the dynamic behavior of multi-span continuous bridges subject to traffic loadings and vehicle dynamic interactions is presented in this paper using the finite element program ANSYS. The proposed numerical model is capable of: (1) analyze “complex bridge systems”, “complex vehicle models”, and “complex traffic conditions”; (2) predict the vehicle-bridge coupled vibration response under various complex traffic loadings and vehicle dynamic conditions including the passage of multiple vehicles, vehicles changing lanes, vehicles subject to constant acceleration, and vehicles overtaking; and, (3) investigate the effect of girder stiffness decay on the coupled vibration of the vehicle-bridge system. Analytical and experimental results indicate that decay in the girder stiffness has a major effect on the coupled vibrations between the vehicles and bridge. The established method could be extended to analyze the vehicle-bridge coupled vibrations of many different types of bridges subject to complex vehicle loadings, which potentially could have a broad impact in the field of Bridge Engineering.

Whole-genome resequencing reveals domestication and signatures of selection in Ujimqin, Sunit, and Wu Ranke Mongolian sheep breeds

        Wang Hanning,Zhong Liang,Dong Yanbing,Meng Lingbo,Ji Cheng,Luo Hui,Fu Mengrong,Qi Zhi,Mi Lan 아세아·태평양축산학회 2022 Animal Bioscience Vol.35 No.9

Objective: The current study aimed to perform whole-genome resequencing of Chinese indigenous Mongolian sheep breeds including Ujimqin, Sunit, and Wu Ranke sheep breeds (UJMQ, SNT, WRK) and deeply analyze genetic variation, population structure, domestication, and selection for domestication traits among these Mongolian sheep breeds. Methods: Blood samples were collected from a total of 60 individuals comprising 20 WRK, 20 UJMQ, and 20 SNT. For genome sequencing, about 1.5 μg of genomic DNA was used for library construction with an insert size of about 350 bp. Pair-end sequencing were performed on Illumina NovaSeq platform, with the read length of 150 bp at each end. We then investigated the domestication and signatures of selection in these sheep breeds. Results: According to the population and demographic analyses, WRK and SNT populations were very similar, which were different from UJMQ populations. Genome wide association study identified 468 and 779 significant loci from SNT vs UJMQ, and UJMQ vs WRK, respectively. However, only 3 loci were identified from SNT vs WRK. Genomic comparison and selective sweep analysis among these sheep breeds suggested that genes associated with regulation of secretion, metabolic pathways including estrogen metabolism and amino acid metabolism, and neuron development have undergone strong selection during domestication. Conclusion: Our findings will facilitate the understanding of Chinese indigenous Mongolian sheep breeds domestication and selection for complex traits and provide a valuable genomic resource for future studies of sheep and other domestic animal breeding. Screening a Panel of Acid-producing Strains by Developing a High-throughput Method

        Lijuan Zhu,Hui Zhang,Shiyuan Wang,Anqi Zhao,Lingbo Qu,Wenlong Xiong,Md. Asraful Alam,Wenlong Ma,Yongkun Lv,Jingliang Xu 한국생물공학회 2022 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.27 No.5

Organic acids are natural cellular metabolites, which are widely used in food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. Among them, L-lactic acid is of special interest, because it is widely used in food and pharmaceutical industries and its monopolymer (poly (lactic acid)) is a green, renewable, biodegradable, and biocompatible alternative to the petroleum-based polymers. Currently, organic acids are predominantly produced by microbial fermentation. Their productions have been substantially improved by genetic modifications, metabolic engineering, and fermentation optimizations. However, the commonly used microbial producers still suffer from low acidic tolerance. Screening higher tolerant acid-producing microorganisms from the nature is relatively less explored. The traditional fermented foods are good resources for the screening of acid-producing and probiotic microorganisms. However, they are relatively less explored, especially those foods in developing countries. To speed up the acid-producing microorganism screening, we developed and validated a high-throughput method in this study. By using this method, we screened 1,296 colonies in 4 days and obtained a panel of acid-producing microorganisms. Among them, a Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus showed the potential for organic acid production and probiotics applications.

No-Load Power of Disc Refiner in Low Consistency Refining

        Huan LIU,Jixian DONG,Xiya GUO,Bo Wang,Qiao Lijie,Chuanwu DUAN,Kai QI,Lingbo Kong 한국펄프·종이공학회 2020 펄프.종이기술 Vol.52 No.2

Disc refiner is the key equipment in pulping and papermaking process, and the no-load power of disc refiner will directly affect the refining efficiency. So the refining efficiency and energy saving of the refining process will be promoted through theoretical and experimental study on it. In this paper, the measurement and the theoretical calculation method of the no-load power of disc refiner in low consistency refining were summarized. And the effects of pulp properties, control parameters and bar parameters of refining plate on no-load power were analyzed. The main research direction of the no-load power of disc refiner was proposed which has a positive significance on energy saving and pulp quality improvements of refining process.
