System-On-Glass를 위한 Poly-Si TFT 소 면적 DC-DC 변환회로

System-on-glass를 위해 poly-Si TFT로 면적이 작으면서도 리플전압을 최소화한 DC-DC 전압 변환회로를 개발하였다. 전압 변환회로는 전하 펌핑 회로, 문턱전압 변화를 보상한 비교기, 오실레이터, 버퍼, 다중 위상 클럭을 만들기 위한 지연 회로로 구성된다. 제안한 다중 위상 클럭킹을 적용함으로써 클럭 주파수 또는 필터링 캐패시터의 증가 없이도 낮은 출력 리플전압을 얻음으로써 DC-DC 변환기의 면적을 최소화 하였다. 제안한 DC-DC 변환회로를 제작하여 측정한 결과 $R_{out}=100k\Omega,\;C_{out}=100pF$, 그리고 $f_{clk}=1MHz$에서 Dickson 구조와 기존의 cross-coupled 구조에서의 리플전압은 각각 590mv와 215mv인 반면 4-위상 클럭킹을 적용한 구조에서는 123mV이다. 그리고 50mV의 리플전압을 가지기 위해 필요한 필터링 캐패시터의 크기는 $I_{out}=100uA$와 $f_{clk}=1MHz$에서 Dickson 구조와 기존의 cross-coupled 구조에서는 각각 1029pF와 575pF인 반면 4-위상과 6-위상 클럭킹을 적용한 구조에서는 단지 290pF와 157pF만이 각각 요구된다. 구조별 효율로는 Dickson 구조의 전하 펌프에서는 $59\%$, 기존의 cross-coupled 구조와 본 논문에서 제안한 4-위상을 적용한 cross-coupled 구조의 전하 펌프에서는 $65.7\%$와 $65.3\%$의 효율을 각각 가진다. An area-efficient DC-DC voltage up-converter in a poly-Si TFT technology for system-on-glass is described which provides low-ripple output. The voltage up-converter is composed of charge-pumping circuit, comparator with threshold voltage mismatch compensation, oscillator, buffer, and delay circuit for multi-phase clock generation. The low ripple output is obtained by multi-phase clocking without increasing neither clock frequency nor filtering capacitor The measurement results have shown that the ripple on the output voltage with 4-phase clocking is 123mV, while Dickson and conventional cross-coupled charge pump has 590mV and 215mV voltage ripple, respectively, for $Rout=100k\Omega$, Cout-100pF, and fclk=1MHz. The filtering capacitor required for 50mV ripple voltage is 1029pF and 575pF for Dickson and conventional cross-coupled structure, for Iout=100uA, and fclk=1MHz, while the proposed multi-phase clocking DC-DC converter with 4-phase and 6-phase clocking requires only 290pF and 157pF, respectively. The efficiency of conventional and the multi-phase clocking DC-DC converter with 4-phase clocking is $65.7\%\;and\;65.3\%$, respectively, while Dickson charge pump has $59\%$ efficiency.
Characteristics of poly-Si TFTs Required for System-on-Glass Analog Circuits

In this paper, we investigate on the characteristics of poly-Si TFTs reuired for the implementation of analog circuits to be integrated with System-on-Glass (SoG). Matching requirements in terms of resistor values, threshold voltage and mobility of poly-Si TFTs are derived as a function of the resolution of display system. Effective mobility of poly-Si TFTs required for the realization of source driver is analyzed for various panel sizes.
Measurement for Biological Controlling of Sacbrood virus on Honey Bee (Apis cerana)

Sacbrood disease is a viral disease on honey bee larvae Apis cerana. Diseased larvae fail to pupae and to be dead at old larvae and pre-pupae stage. Currently, there is no remedy to control sacbrood disease. In this study we conducted to observe sacbrood disease on Apis cerana colonies from June to September, 2014 at the A. cerana apiary of NAAS, and using biological measure to treat this disease. Our study results were showed that sacbrood disease infected A. cerana colonies in all months of observation. The percentage of infected colonies was from 33.3% up to 100%. Controlling sacbrood disease by requeen measure, the percentage of recovered colonies was 57.1 % while of this by cage queen measure was only 28.6 %.
Methods for Studying on Morphological Characteristic of Asian Honey Bee (Apis cerana)

Asian is rich in honey bee species and genetic diversity. Among the difference native honey bee species, Apis cerana is very diversity of subspecies and distribution as well. Until now, nine A. cerana subspecies have been named. However, natural diversity of this species is being declined by threats such as pest, disease, deforestation, pesticide positioning and climate change. Therefore, the understanding of morphological characteristics of A. cerana is viral for maintaining biological diversity. In this paper we give an overview of method that are used for distinguish honey bee A. cerana subspecies and ecotype that can contribute to recognize genetic origin of colonies for conservation and breeding purpose. Base on morphmetric method currently in use, we outline strategies for sampling and measuring morphological characteristics on A. cerana.

In this study we conducted to rear worker honey bee (Apis cerana) from larvae to adult stage in the laboratory by using plastic well plates. Our study results were showed that honey bee larvae Apis cerana could be reared in the laboratory. The adult worker bee started to emerge on day 17 from grafting. The emergence of worker bee peak on day 18 and declined thereafter. The average survival rate from larvae to pre-pupae stage was 74.6%. The average survival rates from pre-pupae to adult stage and from larvae to adult stage were 40.7 % and 30.4 % respectively.

System-on-Glass 아날로그 회로를 구현하기 위해 요구되는 저항 matching 및 poly-Si TFT 특성을 기존 아날로그 회로를 이용하여 조사하였다. 저항 값, poly-Si TFT의 문턱전압 및 이동도의 matching 조건을 디스플레이 시스템의 해상도에 따라 유도하였다. 또한, 소스 드라이버를 구현하기 위해 요구되는 poly-Si TFT의 유효 이동도를 다양한 패널 크기에 따라서 분석하였다. Using the existing analog circuits, required resistor matching and Poly-Si TFT characteristics are investigated for the implementation of analog circuits to be integrated on System-on-Glass. Matching requirements on resistor values, threshold voltage and mobility of poly-Si TFT are derived as a function of the resolution of display system. Also, the effective mobility of poly-Si TFT required for the realization of source driver is analyzed for various panel sizes.
양파김치 추출물 투여가 Streptozotocin 유발 당뇨병 흰쥐의 혈당강하 및 혈중지질 함량에 미치는 영향

양파김치를 이용한 가공식품의 개발을 위해 streptozotocin(STZ)으로 유도한 당뇨병 흰쥐를 이용하여 양파김치 추출물 투여에 대한 혈당강하 및 지질성분의 함량 변화를 조사하였다. 체중변화는 정상군은 4주 사육기간 동안 지속적으로 증가하였으나, STZ 유도 당뇨대조군은 유의하게 감소되었다. 양파김치 추출물과 quercetin 투여군에서도 유의한 체중감소가 있었으나 투여군 간에 유의한 차이는 없었다. 혈당농도는 정상군에 비해 STZ로 유도한 당뇨흰쥐에서 유의하게 증가되었으며, 투여 2주에서부터 대조군에 비해 양파김치 추출물 투여군과 quercetin 투여군에서 유의하게 감소되었다. 그러나 식이농도 증가 및 투여군 간에 유의한 차이는 없었다. 소변량은 정상군에 비해 STZ로 유도한 당뇨흰쥐에서 유의하게 증가되었으나 양파김치 추출물 및 quercetin 투여군의 식이농도 증가에 유의한 차이는 없었다. 신장무게는 정상쥐에 비해 당뇨쥐에서 증대되었으며, 양파김치 추출물 및 quercetin 투여군에서 유의하게 낮은 수준을 나타내어 정상군과 차이가 없었다. 혈청 총콜레스테롤 및 중성지질은 정상쥐에 비해 STZ 유도 당뇨대조군에서 증가되었으나 양파김치 추출물 및 quercetin 투여군에서 낮은 수준을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 양파김치 추출물 섭취가 당뇨쥐에서 증가된 혈당 및 혈청 콜레스테롤 수준을 감소시킬 수 있음을 의미하는 것이다. The purpose of this study was carried out to examine the effects of onion kimchi extract supplementation on blood glucose level and serum lipid components in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats for 4 weeks. STZ was administered as a single dose (50 ㎎/㎏ BW) to induce diabetes, and the diabetic rats were divided into eight groups (normal, diabetic control, and six treatment groups). The dose of onion kimchi extract 100 (OK-100), 200 (OK-200), and 400 (OK-400) ㎎/㎏/day or quercetin as a main compound of onion 5 (Q-5), 10 (Q-10), and 20 (Q-20) ㎎/㎏/day were orally administered daily to STZ-induced diabetic rats for 4 weeks after STZ injection. The diabetic control rats (465.6 ㎎/dL) showed significantly higher blood glucose level than the normal rats (76.3 ㎎/dL) after 4 weeks, but was significantly reduced with onion kimchi extract and quercetin supplementation (p<0.001). Changes in body weight, kidney weight and urine volume were not significantly different in diabetic control rats, and in onion kimchi extract and quercetin treated rats. The serum total cholesterol levels of control were significantly decreased in onion kimchi extract and quercetin supplementation groups, respectively (p<0.001). The blood urea nitrogen level and urinary protein excretion in diabetic rats were not significant different among the groups. These results suggest that onion kimchi extract supplementation in STZ-induced diabetic rats may be a very important factor for the reduction of blood glucose and serum cholesterol profiles.
