        <P>The prototype of the cdc2 protein kinase in mammalian cells regulates its entry into mitosis by phosphorylating a group of key proteins in the major cell cycle transitions. In this study, using the mep45 gene encoding the 45 kDa major envelope protein (Mep45) of Selenomonas ruminantium, a rumen bacteria, a Mep45-fused substrate (PKTPKKAKKL-Mep45, MFS-cdc2) was cloned to detect the activity of cdc2 protein kinase. We report here on a strategy for the detection of a phosphorylation of a substrate catalyzed by cdc2 protein kinase by using a radioisotope detection technique. It is possible to constantly obtain a reasonable quantity of MFS-cdc2 for the cdc2 protein kinase assay and its cost can be as low as a synthesized peptide. Results of the study indicate that the Mep45-fused protein can be used effectively as a substrate for detecting the activity of cdc2 protein kinase and it can be used in developing a protein biochip for a high-throughput screening and also for studying protein–protein interactions.       • 새로운 각도 다중화 방법을 이용한 홀로그래픽 광 메모리 시스템의 구현과 응용

        It is proposed that an holographic optical memory system for image storage in BaTiO3 crystal using new angular multiplexing method which controls the incident angle of reference beam electrically. In the new angular multiplexing method, the incident angle of the reference beam is controlled by using BPH(binary phase hologram), which is designed and optimized with SA(simulated annealing) algorithm and represented on LCTV(liquid crystal television) for real-time processing. The reference beam can be generated anywhere in two dimensional planes by Fourier transform of the BPH on the LCTV which is controlled by a computer. So, the vertical and horizontal incident angle of the reference beam on the BaTiO3 can be controlled simultaneously. Thus the proposedl holographic optical memory system is simple and stable because there is no mechanical movement in storage and reconstruction process of the images. By using the proposed system, we demonstrated storage and reconstruction experiments for four binary images. We also demonstrated an application experiment that can acquire large number of images than that of the stored images by controlling the number of reference beams. Through this experiment, the proposed holographic optical memory system is expected to be used in the realization of the weighted optical interconnections for optical computing and communications. 기준빔의 입사각도를 전기적으로 제어하는 새로운 각도 다중화 방법을 이용하여 BaTiO3에 영상을 저장히기 위한 홀로그래픽 광메모리 시스템을 제안하였다. 새로운 각도 다중화 방법에서, 기준빔의 입사각도는 SA 알고리듬으로 설계되고 최적화된 BPH를 이용하여 제어하며, 실시간 처리를 위해 LCTV에 표현한다. 기준빔은 컴퓨터에 의해 제어되는 LCTV위의 BPH를 푸리에 변화하므로써 이차원 평면 어느곳에서나 생성할 수 있어 BaTiO3에 입사되는 기준빔의 수직측 및 수평측 입사각도를 동시에 제어할 수 있다. 그러므로 제안된 홀로그래픽 광메모리시스템은 영상의 저장과 재생과정에서 기계적인 움직임이 없기 때문에 간단하고 안정한다. 제안된 시스템을 이용하여 네개의 이진 영상을저장하고 재생하는 광실험을 하였다. 또한 저장된 영상의 수보다 더 많은 수의 영상을 기준빔의 수를 제어하여 얻을 수 있는 응용실험도 하였다. 이 설험을 통하여 제안된 홀로그래픽 광메모리 시스템은 광컴퓨팅 및 통신에서 가중치 광연결을 실현하는데 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

      • PZT-LaMnO₃ Systme에서 SrO 첨가와 치환에 따른 유전 및 압전특성에 대한 연구

        The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of (0.98-x) Pb(Zr 0.54, Ti0.46)O₃-0.02LaMnO₃-xSrO(where x=0.005, 0.01, 0.02) and 0.98 (Pb1-x, Srx)(Zr0.54, Ti0.46) O₃-0.02 LaMnO₃(where x=0, 0.03, 0.06, 0.10) have been investigated. These Sr-doped and Sr-substituted specimens were prepared by the conventional ceramics preparation method and atmosphere sintering method. Room temperature X-ray diffraction patterns indicated that all the specimens had tetragonal structures. Lattice parameters a and c decreased both when Sr was doped and substituted, but c/a ratio increased in general and reached maximum in the case Sr was substituted by 6 mole %. The dielectric constant after poling was lower than that of unpoled specimen in all of Sr-doped compositions and in the case Sr was substituted by 3 mole %. However, it increased after poling when Sr was substituted by 6 and 10 mole %. Also the dielectric constant did not change sharply but rather broadly as a function of temperature. In general the planar coupling factor Kp increased as the dielectric constant K increased. Both Kp and mechanical quality factor Qm increased when Sr was doped by 0.5 mole %, but decreased when more amount of Sr was added. The values of K and Kp increased while Qm decreased as the amount of substituted Sr increased, but when it reached 10 mole %, Kp decreased while Qm increased.

      • Mo¨nckeberg 중막 석회화로 인해 초기자궁내막암이 진행성 자궁내막암으로 판독되었던 1례

        Mo¨nckeberg 중막 석회화는 크거나 중간크기의 근육성 동맥(large and medium-sized muscular arteries)의 중막(media)에 노화와 관련되어 퇴행성 과정인 윤상석회화가 특징적으로 나타나는 동맥경화증의 일종으로, 근본적으로 폐쇄성 죽상경화증(occlusive atherosclerosis)과는 다른 과정으로 동맥의 관강(lumen)을 막는 경우는 드물어 상대적으로 임상적 의의는 적거나 거의 없다. 저자들은 Mo¨nckeberg 중막 석회화때문에 초음파 및 컴퓨터 단층촬영에 의한 병기결정에 혼란을 초래하였던 초기 자궁내막암 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. The Mo¨nckeberg medial calcification is aging change rather than disease entity. The Mo¨nckeberg medial calcification involve muscular arteries of limb, head, and genital track and cause fibrosis change associated with hyalinization and fine basophilic staining, suggesting early calcification with little or no clinical significance but is demonstrable on roentgenograms as regular and diffuse radiopaque shadow under intima. We experienced one case of mis-staging of early endometrial cancer due to the Mo¨nckeberg medial calcification therefore, we report this case with a brief review of the literature of the Mo¨nckeberg medial calcification.

        변위매복된 상악전치의 자가이식을 통한 자발적 맹출 유도

        매복치아의 치료는 단순한 관찰에서 외과적 노출후 교정적 견인까지 매우 다양하며, 매복치의 위치 이상이 심한 경우에는 자가이식을 고려한다. 치아의 자가이식술은 맹출되었거나, 매복치아, 변위맹출된 치아 혹은 기능을 못하는 치아를 동일한 개체의 구강내에서 기존의 발치와나 외과적으로 형성한 수용부에 재위치시키는 술식을 의미한다. 자가이식할 치아는 치근장의 ½∼¾ 정도의 치근 발육시기가 치아가 쉽게 발거되고, 합병증이 적게 생기며, 치근의 최종길이가 충분하게 발육한다. 치근 미완성 치아 이식은 무조건 근관치료 하지 않고, 대부분 치수치유를 목표로 하게 된다. 본 증례는 구순열 부위의 과잉치와 함께 상악 우측 중절치의 맹출지연을 주소로 본원에 내원한 환아로, 방사선사진상 상악 우측 중절치와 측절치의 변위매복을 발견하였으며, 치은내 자가이식술을 시행하여 자발적 맹출을 유도, 정상적 치근발육 및 맹출 후 치열의 양호한 배열을 얻을 수 있었다. The treatment method of impacted tooth is various from simple observation to surgical exposure and orthodontic methods, autotransplantation is concerned to severe malposed impacted tooth Autotransplantation is the transplantation of embedded, impacted, of unerupted tooth, into extraction socket of surgically prepared in the safe individual Autotransplantation of tooth with ½∼¾ root development provldes a good chance of easily extracted, a littte complication, pulp survival, and complete root formation. Transplantation of uncompleted root apex tooth is aim to pulpal healing, not endodontic treatment. The case which were treated with autotransplantation is reported, and induced normal physiologic eruption and good dental alignment.

      • 선천성 기형을 동반한 단일 제대동맥 신생아 2례

        A single umbilical artery is present in about 2/1,000 births. Approximately 10-15% of Infants with a single umbilical artery have congenital abnormalities, usually more than one, chromosomal abnormalities, fetal growth retradation, prematurity, perinatal mortality and many such infants are stillborn or die shortly after birth. We experienced two cases of single umbilical artery. One had congenital malformation of left ectopic fused kidney, but hadn't cytogenetic abnomality. The other had cytogenetic abnormality of 46XY,inv(6)(q11q16), morphologic abnormalities of polydactyly & lower palpebral fissure and congenital abnormalities of tracheoesophageal atresia & TOF. We reported these cases with a related literature review.

        자연휴양림의 종다양성 증진을 위한 식생관리 방안 연구 -경기도 축령산자연휴양림을 사례로-

        본 연구는 휴양림의 기능 향상을 위한 식생관리 방안을 제시하고자 경기도 남양주시 수동면 외방리 축령산자연휴양림을 대상으로 실시하였다. 휴양림 내 등산로 및 산책로 주변의 주요 분포종인 잣나무 인공식생지와 자연식생지인 낙엽활엽수림의 생물다양성 조사 및 분석 등을 실시하여 휴양림 기능향상을 위해 식생유형별 관리를 위한 관리방안을 도출하였다. 연구방법은 생물다양성 측면에서 식생관리, 현존식생 및 비오톱 현황, 식생유형 구분, 식생구조, 야생조류 서식구조 등의 기능검토를 실시하였다. 휴양림내 식생유형 구분은 현존식생과 비오톱현황을 기초로 잣나무 인공조림지와 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림으로 크게 구분할 수 있으며, 등산로 및 산책로 주변 대표식생 조림여부, 식생관리 등에 따라 4개의 유형(관리되지 않은 인공 잣나무림, 관리된 인공 잣나무림, 단풍나무 비율이 높은 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림, 관리된 낙엽활엽수림)으로 구분하였다. 식생구조 분석결과 종다양도는 낙엽활엽수림이 인공 잣나무림 보다 종다양도가 높게 나타났고 관리되지 않은 상태가 관리된 상태보다 종다양도지수가 높게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 야생조류 서식구조 분석결과 관리된 잣나무림은 층위구조가 빈약한 단층으로 식재되어 다양한 야생조류의 이동통로로서 부적합한 구조이고, 관리되지 않은 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림, 잣나무림 등이 양호한 야생조류 서식구조를 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 생물다양성 기능 검토에 근거하여 관리유형을 크게 보전관리와 복원관리로 구분할 수 있었다. 보전관리 중 기존낙엽활 엽수림 유지유형은 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림 지역, 관리된 낙엽활엽수림 지역 등이 속하며 생태적 관리유형은 관리되지 않은 인공 잣나무림 지역을 설정하였고, 복원관리지역인 생태적 복원유형은 관리된 인공 잣나무림 지역으로 설정하여 식생관리 유형별 관리방안을 제시하였다. This study was supposed to offer vegetation plans for functional improvement of the recreational forest by researching Mt. Chukryong which is located at Oebang-li Sudong-Myon Namyangju Kyong-gi Province inKorea. In this study, artificial vegetation and natural vegetation near trails in recreational forest were researched through biodiversity analysis. From this analysis process, a typical management improvement of the biodiversity functions were examined by reviewing functions biotope condition, vegetation structure and wild bird community condition. Typical vegetation system was divided into four detail parts: Managed artificial Pinus koraiensis forest, Not managed artificial Pinus koraiensis forest, Natural deciduous forest and Not managed deciduous forest. As a result of the vegetation structure, the numerical value of the deciduous forest species diversity was higher than that of artificial Pinus koraiensis, and the numerical value of the managed condition was higher than that of not managed condition. As a result of a habitat structure analysis of the wild bird community, managed Pinus koraiensis forests were inadequate structure for wild birds to habit in there because the forests had weak structure layers, but unmanaged deciduous forest and unmanaged Pinus koraiensis that had diverse layers was proper places for birds to in habit. Thus, based on the functional analysis of biodiversity, management patterns of the target area were concluded in two manners: conserving management and restoring management. Deciduous forest protection target areas included natural deciduous forest area and managed deciduous forest area, ecological restoration target area included unmanaged artificial Pinus koraiensis area and restoring management target area includes managed artificial Pinus koraiensis.

      • 개에 있어서 심장사상충증을 동반한 창상성 횡격막 허니아의 수술적 치료 1례

        A 7-month old, castrated male Shih-tzu dog was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University with history of depression, dyspnea, mild scale, tachypnea, exercise intolerance and severe leanness. On physical examination, cardiac arrhythmias was heard and heart worm ELISA test was positive. Microfilaria was found on the direct blood smear. Survey radiographs showed loss of diaphragmatic line and cardiac silhouette, displacement of lung fields and presence of gas filled intestines in the thoracic cavity. Rib fracture and pelvic fracture with callus formation were found incidentally. On the basis of physical examination and radiographic findings, it was diagnosed as traumatic diaphragmatic hernia and heart worm disease. Herniorrhaphy was performed. Postoperatively, it was treated for heart worm disease and scale. There is no evidence of recurrence of diaphragmatic hernia and heart worm disease over 1 year.
