시간별 기온자료를 이용하여 우리나라에서 12개의 주요도시들에 대한 도시화 효과를 계절별 및 월별, 시간별로 조사하였으며, 본 연구에서는 김경환 등(1999)에 제시된 방법에 따라 주요도시와 주변 도시들 간의 기온차이의 최대값과 평균 기온차이 그리고 이들 두 값의 비율를 계산하여 도시화 효과를 검출하였다. In this study, the urbanization effect in Korea on the seasonal, monthly, and hourly scales is investigated by using hourly air temperature data of 12 stations in 1998 with Kim(1999) s detection method which calculates maximum temperature difference (Δ T ˆ (u-s)max), mean temperature difference (Δ T (u-s)), and ratio of these two values between urban and surrounding cities.

하시모도갑상선염과 악성흉선종이 동반된 순수 적혈구 형성 부전증 1예

순수 적혈구 형성 부전증은 정상세포 골수소견을 보이면서 성숙 적혈구 전구세포가 없는 임상 증후군이다. 환자들은 심한 빈혈과 낮은 망상적혈구수, 정상 혈소판 및 과립구수를 보인다. 선천성과 후천성 적혈구 형성 부전증으로 분류되고 대부분은 후천성이며 발병 기전은 주로 면역학적 매개에 의한다. 흉선종과 동반되는 경우가 가장 흔하고 그외 류마티스 관절염, 전신성 홍반성 루푸스, 간염, 단핵구증, 림프종, 만성 림프구성 백혈병, 거대 과립구성 백혈병 등에서 관찰될 수 있다. 그러나 두 가지 이상의 질환이 동반되는 경우는 매우 드물다. 저자등은 순수 적혈구 형성 부전증이 흉선종 및 하시모도 갑상선염과 함께 동반된 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Pure red cell aplasia is a clinical syndrome defined by the absence of mature erythroid precursors in an otherwise normocellular bone marrow. The mechanism inducing selective red cell aplasia is still subject to discussion. Hypothesis of mechanisms involve immunologically mediated disease, HPV B19 infection, intrinsic stem cell defect (myelodysplasia). The 68 year old male patient was diagnosed as pure red cell aplasia because of severe anemia and marked bone marrow hypoplasia. The result of CT guided lung biopsy was lymphocytic thymoma. Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is considered on results of laboratory and cytologic finding. We reported a case of pure red cell aphasia associated with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and thymoma with brief review of literature.

최근 황사현상에 관한 관심은 높아지고 있지만, 황사가 기온변화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 연평균 기온변화에 황사현상이 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해서 전국 12지점의 기상관측소에서 관측된 일평균 기온과 황사관측 자료를 사용하였다. 1954년에서 1963년까지와 1989년부터 1998년까지의 두 기간에 대한 연평균 기온차이로부터 계산된 기온증가는 0.4°C~1.4°C의 범위 안에 나타났으며 평균값은 0.89°C로 나타났다. 황사효과로 발생된 연평균 기온증가는 강릉에서 0.02로 가장 높게 나타났으며 전주는 -0.0으로 가장 낮게 나타났다. 최근 35년간 한반도 기온변화요인 중 황사로 인한 기온변화 기여도는 약 0.6%로 나타났다. In spite of recently increased interest in the yellow sand phenomena, studies on the contribution of the yellow sand effect to the variation of annual mean temperature in Korea have rarely been revealed. The method to detect the effect of the yellow sand in the apparent increase of annual mean temperature was developed based on the daily yellow sand and mean temperature data of 12 stations of the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA). The temperature increase, driven from annual mean temperature difference between 1954-1963 and 1989-1998, is found to be a range between 0.4°C and 1.4°C with its mean of 0.89°C. The temperature increase due to yellow sand effect showed that the largest temperature increase appeared in Kangnung with a 0.02°C, while the largest temperature decrease appeared in Chonju with a -0.00°C. It is found from the detection methode of yellow sand effect developed in this study that the contribution ratio of yellow sand effect to the air temperature change of Korea is 0.6 percent during recent 35 years.
Chiral Separation of Fluvastatin Enantiomers by Capillary Electrophoresis

An analytical CE method was developed for the enantiomeric purity determination of fluvastatin enantiomers. Fluvastatin enantiomers were separated on an uncoated fused silica with 100 mM-borate solution containing 30 mg/mL of (2-hydroxypropyl)-$\beta$-cyclodextrin (HP-$\beta$-CD) as running buffer and fenoprofen as an internal standard. The linearity was observed within a $400-700\;{\mu}g/mL$ concentration range ($r^2{\geq}0.995$) for both fluvastatin enantiomers. The repeatability expressed as coefficient of variation (CV) of the method were 0.96 and 0.92% for (+)-3R, 5S and (-)-3S, 5R-fluvastatin, respectively. The limit of detection and quantification for both fluvastatin enantiomers were $1.5\;{\mu}g/mL$ and $2.5\;{\mu}g/mL$, respectively.

<P>Although Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) has been detected in 5-15% of gastric carcinoma (GC) cases, the mechanism by which EBV contributes to its tumorigenesis remains unclear. Only a subset of EBV latent proteins such as EBV nuclear antigen-1 and latent membrane protein 2A (LMP2A) are expressed in EBV-associated GC (EBVaGC) cases. In this study, to elucidate the role of LMP2A in the tumorigenesis of EBVaGC, we established permanent cell lines expressing LMP2A. The LMP2A gene was cloned from a naturally EBV-infected EBVaGC cell line, SNU-719 and transduced into an EBV-negative GC cell line, AGS, using a retroviral vector. The sequence of SNU-719 LMP2A showed several conserved variations compared to that of the prototype EBV strain B95-8 LMP2A. Four of seven established cell clones expressed LMP2A protein at detectable levels. These cell clones did not show enhanced cell growth compared to control cells in normal or low serum-containing medium. Furthermore, LMP2A expression had no effect on colony forming ability of the cell clones in soft agar. Our results suggest that LMP2A alone has little effect on tumorigenesis of EBVaGC.</P>
