      • Pb□Ge□O□ 단결정의 유전적 성질

        Ferroelectric Pb5Ge3011 single crystal was grown from the melt by the Czochra1ski method. From the complex dielectric measurements and the pyroelectric measurements, it was confirmed that Pb5Ge3011 undergoes a displacive second order phase transition at 177 ℃. Arrehnius' activation energy was estimated as 1.2eV from the measurements of electric conductivities. Refractive indices obtained by using the Brewster's law are no=2.111, ne=2.140for λ=6328Å at room temperature and thermo-optical coefficients are 4.26×10-5/℃ in the ferroelectric phase and 2.71×10-5/℃in the paraelectric phase. An impedance relaxation was observed over a wide temperature range, including the Curie temperature. The relaxation was composed of two mechanisms, the one due to a charge carrier hopping Process and the other one resulting from the intrinsic polarization of the ferroelectric material.

        워크플로우에서는 기업이 정한 목표를 달성하고, 기업의 현재의 불확실성과 불안정성을 제거하고, 현재의 치열한 경쟁을 극복하고, 장래에 보다 나은 기업이 되기 위해서, 기업의 모든 재 구성원과 자원들 사이에 존재하는 이질적 요소를 조정·조화시킨 후, 유기적으로 결합하여, 조직의 목적을 이루는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문은 크게 두 가지에 초점을 두고 있다. 첫 번째, 프로세스를 최적화시키기 위한 조정 기준을 제시한다. 이 전의 연구들에서는 프로세스를 조정 할때, 대부분 분석가의 직관과 경험에 의존했었다. 그러나, 본 연구에서는 이러한 분석가의 직관과 경험에 의존한 프로세스 조정을 최대한 줄일 수 있는 몇가지 간단하면서도, 강력한, 정량화 된 기준을 제시한다. 두 번째, 워크플로우에, 시간을 소요하는 처리와 하지 않는 처리로 구분 할 수 있으며, 처리 시간을 확률 함수로 파악함으로써 현실세계에 가까운 모델링을 할 수 있는, GSPN(Generalized Stochastic Petri-net)을 적용한 프로세스 모델링 방법을 제시한다. This paper proposes a method to analyze and design for workflow systems called GSWN(Generalized Stochastic Workflow Net), which is based on stochastic Petri-net, and an algorithm for workflow process optimization based on simulation analysis. The proposed modeling method was developed by adding workflow characteristics to stochastic petri-net. The proposed algorithm is consist of 4 major steps such as GSWN step, GSWN to matrix step, block establishing step, and process optimizing step.

        Clinical Experience of Rigid Bronchoscopy in Single Center

        Background: The aim of this study was to analyze clinical situations requiring rigid bronchoscopy and evaluate usefulness of rigid bronchoscopic intervention in benign or malignant airway disorders. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 29 patients who underwent rigid bronchoscopy from November 2007 to February 2011 at St. Paul's Hospital, The Catholic University of Korea School of Medicine. Results: Of the 29 patients, the most frequent underlying etiology was benign stenosis of trachea (n=20). Of those 20 patients, 16 had post-intubation tracheal stenosis (PITS), 2 had tracheal stenosis due to inhalation burn (IBTS) and other 2 had obstructive fibrinous tracheal pseudomembrane (OFTP). Other etiologies were airway malignancy (n=6), endobronchial stenosis due to tuberculosis (n=2), and foreign body (n=1). For treatment, silicone stent insertion was done in 16 cases of PITS and IBTS and mechanical removal was performed in 2 cases of OFTP. In 6 cases of malignant airway obstruction mechanical debulking was performed and silicone stents were inserted additionally in 2 cases. Balloon dilatation and electrocautery were used in 2 cases of endobronchial stenosis due to tuberculosis. In all cases of stent, airway obstructive symptom improved immediately. Granulation tissue formation was the most common complication. Conclusion: Tracheal stenosis was most common indication and silicone stenting was most common procedure of rigid bronchoscopy in our center. Rigid bronchoscopic procedures, at least tracheal silicone stenting, should be included in pulmonary medicine fellowship programs because it is a very effective and indispensable method to relieve critical airway obstruction which needs training to learn.

      • Health Span-Extending Activity of Human Amniotic Membrane- and Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cells in F344 Rats.

        <P>: Aging brings about the progressive decline in cognitive function and physical activity, along with losses of stem cell population and function. Although transplantation of muscle-derived stem/progenitor cells extended the health span and life span of progeria mice, such effects in normal animals were not confirmed. Human amniotic membrane-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AMMSCs) or adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) (1 ?? 10(6) cells per rat) were intravenously transplanted to 10-month-old male F344 rats once a month throughout their lives. Transplantation of AMMSCs and ADMSCs improved cognitive and physical functions of naturally aging rats, extending life span by 23.4% and 31.3%, respectively. The stem cell therapy increased the concentration of acetylcholine and recovered neurotrophic factors in the brain and muscles, leading to restoration of microtubule-associated protein 2, cholinergic and dopaminergic nervous systems, microvessels, muscle mass, and antioxidative capacity. The results indicate that repeated transplantation of AMMSCs and ADMSCs elongate both health span and life span, which could be a starting point for antiaging or rejuvenation effects of allogeneic or autologous stem cells with minimum immune rejection.</P>

        Survey of Yogurt Powder Storage in Ambient Export Countries A Safety Evaluation Standard Compliance and Comparative Analysis

        Yogurt powder is fermented milk processed in the form of dry yogurt, and has advantages such as stability, storability, convenience, and portability. China and Vietnam are important export target countries because of the increased demand for dairy products. Therefore, we surveyed dairy product standardization in order to establish an export strategy. Lactic acid bacteria counts are unregulated in Korea and Vietnam. In China, lactic acid bacteria counts are regulated at $1{\times}10^6$ colonyforming units (CFU)/mL and detected at $6.24{\pm}0.33\;Log\;CFU/mL$. All three countries have regulated standards for total bacterial counts. In China, total bacterial counts of milk powder are regulated to n=5, c=2, m=50,000, M=200,000 and detected at $6.02{\pm}0.12\;Log\;CFU/mL$, exceeding the acceptable level. Lactic acid bacterial counts appeared to exceed total bacterial counts. Coliform group counts, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, and Salmonella species were not detected. Acidity is not regulated in Korea and Vietnam. In China, acidity was regulated to over $70^{\circ}T$ and detected $352.38{\pm}10.24^{\circ}T$. pH is unregulated in all three countries. pH was compared to that of general fermented milk, which is 4.2, and that of the sample was $4.28{\pm}0.01$. Aflatoxin levels are not regulated in Korea and China. In Vietnam, aflatoxin level is regulated at 0.05 ppb. Therefore, all ingredients of the yogurt powder met the safety standards. This data obtained in this study can be used as the basic data in assessing the export quality of yogurt powder.

        Nose-to-brain delivery of hyaluronate – FG loop peptide conjugate for non-invasive hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy therapy

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The intranasal drug administration has attracted great interest as a non-invasive route allowing targeted delivery of drugs directly to the brain. However, one of the main issues in nasal drug administration is mucociliary clearance. Hyaluronate (HA) has been widely used as a mucoadhesive excipient for ocular, rectal, and vaginal delivery. Here, FG loop peptide (FGL) was conjugated to HA for improving enzymatic stability and delivery efficiency from the nose to the brain. The successful conjugation of FGL to aldehyde modified HA was confirmed by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and <SUP>1</SUP>H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The outstanding enzymatic stability of HA–FGL conjugate was also corroborated by the GPC. The HA–FGL conjugate showed enhanced binding affinity onto nasal epithelial cells. In addition, <I>in vivo</I> nose-to-brain delivery of HA–FGL conjugate could be visualized by using an IVIS imaging system and fluorescence microscopy. Finally, <I>in vivo</I> therapeutic effect of HA–FGL conjugate was successfully confirmed by histological analysis, transferase-mediated uridine 5-triphosphate-biotin nick end-labeling (TUNEL) assay, immunofluorescent staining, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and rotarod tests in hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy model animals.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The intranasal administration is an attractive non-invasive delivery route to the brain. </LI> <LI> The conjugation of FG loop (FGL) peptide to hyaluronate (HA) improves its enzymatic stability. </LI> <LI> HA–FGL conjugate can be efficiently delivered from the nose to the brain. </LI> <LI> HA–FGL conjugate shows a significant therapeutic effect on hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

        High-Temperature Phase Transformation in Ferroelectric LiH3(SeO3)2 and Topochemical Nature

        The high-temperature anomalies of LiH3(SeO3)2 were optically studied in the rst heating process. Optical observation shows an appreciable change of surface, revealing some kind of viscous liquid ow at the surface. The sample history is very important for the high-temperature properties. Phase transformations are actually due to changes in the conditions at the surface. The conditions under which a sample is prepared at room temperature can affect the temperature at which a phase transformation occurs when the sample is heated. The wide scatter of the transformation temperature indicates that the nature of the high-temperature anomaly is obeyed by the topochemical factors, i:e:, controlled by the defect structures at the surface of crystals. The temperature 75-90 C (Tp1) is interpreted as an onset of partial melting related to thermal decomposition at reaction sites at or near the surface of solids. The physicochemical state above Tp1, at least on the surface, is regarded as a transitory liquid one that is, with multi-component, consisting of unreacted remaining ferroelectric LiH3(SeO3)2 and reacted intermediate products, neither being the hypothetical paraelectric phase or being the molten state of LiH3(SeO3)2 itself. The surface layer formed between bulk and electrode may result in space charge and aect severely the apparent capacitance and conductance of the specimen, which is the origin of the very large values of dielectric constant and electrical conductivity above Tp1.
