This study was focused on the profile drag estimation from the wake survey of the now field with the wind tunnel testing. The experimental investigation was conducted with the low turbulence wind tunnel to estimate the profile drag coefficient of the supersonic biplane from the pressure loss in the wake of the model. The surveys were conducted behind the supersonic biplane model whose airfoil could realize the shock wave cancellation at design Mach number 1.7. The two-dimensional CFD simulations were also conducted to compare with the experimental results. The reduction of the test data by Jones equation gave the profile drag coefficients agreed with those obtained from the CFD simulations at zero lift conditions. However, at lifting conditions. the experimental results and the CFD results didn't agree. In this study, the profile drag characteristics of the supersonic biplane were discussed based on these results.
Recent Topics in Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva
Takenobu Katagiri,Sho Tsukamoto,Yutaka Nakachi,Mai Kuratani 대한내분비학회 2018 Endocrinology and metabolism Vol.33 No.3
Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP) is a rare genetic disease that is characterized by the formation of heterotopic bone tissuesin soft tissues, such as skeletal muscle, ligament, and tendon. It is difficult to remove such heterotopic bones via internal medicineor invasive procedures. The identification of activin A receptor, type I (ACVR1)/ALK2 gene mutations associated with FOP hasallowed the genetic diagnosis of FOP. The ACVR1/ALK2 gene encodes the ALK2 protein, which is a transmembrane kinase receptorin the transforming growth factor-β family. The relevant mutations activate intracellular signaling in vitro and induce heterotopicbone formation in vivo. Activin A is a potential ligand that activates mutant ALK2 but not wild-type ALK2. Various types of smallchemical and biological inhibitors of ALK2 signaling have been developed to establish treatments for FOP. Some of these are inclinical trials in patients with FOP.
Development on a Coaxial Heat Integrated Distillation Column(HIDiC)
Noda, Hideo,Takamatsu, Takeichiro,Aso, Kazumasa,Naknishi, Tosinari,Yoshida, Kazufumi,Nakaiwa, Masaru,Mukaida, Tadahiro,Kuratani, Nobuyuki 한국화학공학회 2000 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.17 No.5
Various configurations of a column for performing the principle of HIDiC can be proposed, but a coaxial column which is installed a packing in an inside tube and outer side may be one of the simplest columns for HIDiC. In order to examine whether or not the configuration of the packed column mentioned above is appropriate to HIDiC, an experimental apparatus has been set up and heat and mass transfer rates have been measured by using benzene-toluene system.
