유전알고리즘 기반 콘크리트 구조물의 최적화 설계를 위한 멀티코어 퍼스널 컴퓨터 클러스터의 확장 가능성 연구

본 논문에서는 유전알고리즘을 사용하여 철근콘크리트 구조물의 최적 지진설계를 효율적으로 수행하기 위해 클러스터를 사용하는 경우 확장성을 확인하였다. 클러스터를 구성하는 코어프로세서의 개수를 증가시키면서 유전알고리즘의 각 세대에 소요되는 시간의 감소를 관찰하였다. 단일 퍼스널 컴퓨터의 구성을 분류한 후, wall-clock time과 암달의 법칙으로 예상된 값을 비교하여 예상되었던 병목현상을 확인하였다. 이에 클러스터의 확장성에서 복합적인 요인에 의한 경향을 확인할 수 있었다. 병목현상의 물리적인 요인과 알고리즘 측면에서의 요인을 구분하기 위해 유전알고리즘의 개채수를 나누어 실험을 수행하여 결과를 확인하였다. In this paper, determination of the scalability of the cluster composed common personal computer was performed when optimization of reinforced concrete structure using genetic algorithm. The goal of this research is watching the potential of multi-core-PC cluster for optimization of seismic design of reinforced-concrete structures. By increasing the number of core-processer of cluster, decreasing of computation time per each generation of genetic algorithm was observed. After classifying the components in singular personal computer, the estimation of the expected bottle-neck phenomenon and comparison with wall-clock time and Amdahl's law equation was performed. So we could obseved the scalability of the cluster appear complex tendency. For separating the bottle-neck phenomenon of physical and algorithm, the different size of population was selected for genetic algorithm cases. When using 64 core-processor, the efficiency of cluster is low as 31.2% compared with Amdahl's law efficiency.
Candida utilis 효모를 이용한 HVP 특유의 향 생성 최적화

본 연구에서는 분리대두단백(ISP: isolated soy protein)과 탈지대두박(DSF: defatted soy flake)을 Devolase, Flavourzyme 효소로 가수분해한 각각의 HVP를 발효 배지로 사용하여 Candida utilis(KCCM 50342) 효모의 ethylalcohol, 4-ethylguaiacol의 생성과 향 생성의 주요 인자인 α -galactosidase의 활성을 측정하였다. Ethylalcohol은 발효 1일째에 탈지대두박을 원료로 하고 여과후 미생물 처리한 경우에서 가장 높게 생성되었고, 4-ethylguaiacol은 일부 여과하지 않고 미생물 처리한 경우에서 낮은 농도의 생성을 보였다. α-galactosidase 효소활성은 탈지대두박 보다 ISP를 원료로 한 HVP에서 높은 활성을 보였다. 관능검사결과 탈지대두박을 사용한 HVP의 관능적 특성이 ISP를 원료로 한 HVP보다 더 우수하였다. 결과적으로 탈지대두박을 원료로 한 HVP의 향기성분 및 관능적 특성이 우수함을 확인하였다.

Fucoidans, polysaccharides that are composed of fucose, uronic acids, galactose and xylose, are one of the main constituents of brown seaweeds. For the past decade algal fucoidans have been extensively studied due to their biological activities including anticoagulant, antiinflammatory, antitumor, contraceptive and antiviral activities. Even though fucoidan is known as a highly functionality derivative, its industrial applications have been limited because of low inclusion efficiency and high cost of manufacturing. Furthermore the sea-weed smell of fucoidan has been a limiting factor for the application especially in food and cosmetic area. The potential application of various extraction technology and deodorization of sea-weed smell is highly equired for a wider application of fucoidan. As an alternative extraction process, enzymatic hydrolysis process or ultra-high pressure treatment has been investigated for the improvement of production yield and bioefficacy of fucoidan. More intensive research on the fucoidan production technology and its application in nutraceutical and cosmoceutical area is needed.
FBG를 이용한 변형률 기반 건물의 횡방향 구조반응 모니터링 기법에 관한 해석적 연구

본 논문에서는 건물의 횡방향 구조반응을 평가하기 위한 변형률 기반의 모니터링 기법이 제시되고, 이에 대한 기초 연구로써, 구조해석을 통해 제안된 기법을 검증한다. 광섬유 격자 센서(fiber Bragg grating, FBG)는 일반 변형률 센서와 비교하여 내구성이 뛰어날 뿐 아니라 높은 샘플링 수와 여러 지점을 동시에 계측할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이러한 특성 때문에 FBG 센서는 구조 모니터링을 위해 많은 센서가 요구되는 건물의 모니터링에 적합하다. 본 연구에서 FBG 센서는 수직 부재의 변형률을 계측하며, 이는 해당 부재의 곡률을 평가한다. 이러한 곡률은 횡변위와 횡가속도를 평가하는데 사용된다. 추가적으로 횡방향 가속도는 frequency domain decomposition(FDD) 기법을 이용하여 구조물의 고유진동수와 모드형상을 추정하는데 사용된다. 9층 철골모멘트 골조 예제의 적용을 통해, 제시된 기법이 건물의 다양한 횡방향 구조 반응과 동적 특성을 평가하는데 적절함을 확인하였다. In this study, the strain based monitoring method to evaluate the lateral structural response of buildings is presented and an applicability of the proposed method is confirmed through the numerical study. It is assumed that the fiber Bragg grating(FBG) strain sensor is employed to measure the strain response of members due to the excellent properties such as multiplexing, and higher sampling frequency. These properties of FBG sensors is proper for buildings the a lot of sensors are required to monitor the reponses of those. FBG sensors measure the strain response of vertical members and are employed to calculate the curvatures of members using the measured strain responses. Then the lateral displacement, and lateral acceleration is evaluated based on the curvatures of vertical members. Additionally, these dynamic responses of buildings are used to evaluate the dynamic properties of buildings such as the natural frequencies and mode shapes using the frequency domain decomposition(FDD) method. Through the application of nine-story steel moment frame example structure, it is confirmed that the proposed method is appropriate to evaluate the lateral structural responses and dynamic properties of buildings.
용매추출과 분무건조의 통합방법을 이용한 후코이단의 냄새 저감 공정 개발

Volatile components of crude fucoidan and its raw material, Undaria pinnatifida sporophylls were identified by GC/MSD analysis, and the effects of a combined method of solvent extraction and drying (hot-air drying or spray drying) on deordorization of fucoidans were examined. The major components of seaweed smell (odor) in crude fucoidan and Undaria pinnatifida sporophylls were identified as alkanes (octadecane, heptadecane, tetradecane) and acids (hexadecanoic acid, oleic acid). Solvent extraction and drying were combined for the deordorization of fucoidans: hot-air drying/deordorization process (HDDP) and spray drying/deordorization process (SDDP). The deordorization effects of solvent extraction using solvents including water, ethanol, and acetone were investigated. Among the tested solvents, ethanol was selected as a deordorization solvent, because the seaweed smell and taste were mostly lowered by ethanol extraction followed by drying. In addition, HDDP and SDDP were compared, showing that SDDP gave higher sensory characteristics than HDDP. When the crude fucoidan was treated by ethanol extraction for 30 min followed by SDDP, approximately 60% of off-flavor components of crude fucoidan was removed based on GC/MSD peak area, and the total sugar and sulfate contents and APTT-anticoagulant activity significantly increased compared to crude fucoidan. In conclusion, SDDP after ethanol treatment was proposed and established as a deordorization process for fucoidan preparation.
