We investigate the exchange bias effect in [Pd/Co]<SUB>5</SUB> superlattice structures which are representative system of the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. We fabricate Si/[Pd/Co]<SUB>5</SUB>/FeMn structures, and study the exchange bias variations by measuring hysteresis loop variations with thickness of FeMn layer. In order to optimize the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, we fix the thickness of Pd with 1.1 nm and investigate the dependence of the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy on the ferromagnetic Co layer thickness. As results, we find that the biggest coercivity in 0.3 nm of Co layer without FeMn layer. The biggest exchange bias field is found for 0.3 nm of Co layer when we change the Co thickness with fixed FeMn thickness. When we vary thickness of FeMn layer, the biggest coercivity is found for 5 nm of FeMn layer. No exchange bias is observed when the FeMn layer is thinner than 3 nm, and the exchange bias field increases with FeMn layer thickness continuously up to 15 nm.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of auricular acupuncture at the Shinmun on patients with dementia by using power spectrum analysis. Electroencephalogram(EEG) power spectrum show site-specific and state-related differences in various frequency bands. Methods: Study was carried out in 38 subjects.(31 patients with dementia and 7 normal people, 27 females and 11 males; mean age=75.9 years old). To know the effect of auricular acupuncture at the Shinmun in patients with dementia, we measured electroencephalogram(EEG) of normal people and patients with dementia about ``before``, ``after`` and ``after 15 minutes`` giving auricular acupuncture at the Shinmun, and compared the brain wave(α, β, δ, θ) of EEG 30 channels. Results: In the case of patients with dementia, in the power values of α(alpha) band at F4, FP2, FCZ, F8, FC4 channels (p<0.05) during the Shinmun-auricular acupuncture treatment increased significantly. In β(beta) band, the power values at T8 channel(p<0.05) during the Shinmun-auricular acupuncture treatment increased significantly. In δ (delta) band, the power values at F7, FP1, FZ, FP2, FCZ, C4, FC4, CP4, T8, P7, P3, O1, OZ, O2, P4, P8 channels(p<0.05) during the Shinmun-auricular acupuncture treatment decreased significantly. In θ(theta) band, the power values at O1, OZ, O2channel(p<0.05) during the Shinmun-auricular acupuncture treatment decreased significantly. Conclusions: Through these results, we concluded that auricular acupuncture at the Shinmun on patients with dementia could have effect the functional mechanism of the cerebral cortex.

The aim of this study is to optimize the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-39Nb-6Zr (TNZ40) for bio-implant applications. TNZ40 was designed to have a low elastic modulus (~40 GPa) and good biocompatibility. However, the alloy shows relatively low strength compared to other titanium alloys for bio-implant. In the present study, we tried to obtain the proper combination of elastic modulus and strength by tailoring the direct aging conditions after severe plastic deformation. The mechanical properties are closely linked to characteristics including the distribution and volume fraction of precipitates. †(Received November 6, 2015; Accepted May 19, 2016)

In this paper, we demonstrate that the microstructure and mechanical properties in the Ti<sub>40</sub>Zr<sub>10</sub>Cu<sub>36</sub>Pd<sub>14</sub> alloy can be tailored by controlling the cooling rate during solidification. A lower cooling rate increases the volume fraction of crystalline phase such as B2 but decreases the free volume of the glassy matrix. The increase of the B2 volume fraction can dramatically enhance the toughness of the composites, since the B2 phase is relatively ductile compared to the glassy matrix and seems to have good interface stability with the matrix. From the experimental results, it was found that there is a transition point in the plasticity of the composites depending on the cooling rate. Here, we explain how the toughness of the composites varies in accordance with the cooling rate in the Ti<sub>40</sub>Zr<sub>10</sub>Cu<sub>36</sub>Pd<sub>14</sub> alloy system. 근대 중 Flufenoxuron, Thiacloprid, Pyridalyl의 생산단계 농약 잔류허용기준설정 연구

본 연구는 근대 중 살충제 3종(Flufenoxuron, Thiacloprid, Pyridalyl)은 PHI와 MRL은 설정되어 있으나 생산단계 잔류허용기준(Pre-Harvest Residue Limit, PHRL)은 설정되어있지 않다. 따라서 최종 약제 살포일로부터 농약의 잔류량 감소 양상을 통해 약제별 잔류특성을 파악하고, 반감기를 산출하는 것으로 부적합 농산물의 유통을 사전에 차단하기 위한 PHRL 설정을 위해 기초 자료로 활용하고자 수행하였다. 시험 포장은 위도상 직선거리가 20 km 이상인 2 곳(시험포장1 : 경기도 안성, 시험포장2 : 경기도 이천)을 선정하여 시설재배 조건에서 농약 안전사용기준에 따라 살포하였다. 시료 채취는 최종살포 후 0(3시간 후), 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10일차까지 수확하였고, Pyridalyl이 살포된 처리구는 안전사용기준 시기를 포함하여 14일차까지 수확하였다. 위와 같이 수확한 시료들을 분석하여 잔류량의 경시적인 변화를 파악해 이를 토대로 생물학적 반감기를 산출하였다. 근대 중 잔류하는 농약 성분들은 추출, 액-액 분배, 정제 과정을 거친 후 HPLC로 분석하였다. 약제별 분석법상 정량 한계(MLOQ)는 0.05 mg/kg로 정량한계 수준, 정량한계의 10배 수준, 잔류허용기준 수준에서 회수율 시험을 진행하였다. 세 가지 수준에 대해 Flufenoxuron은 각각 94.2∼96.6%, 94.9∼97.0%, 94.7∼101.4%, Thiacloprid는 73.6∼85.6%, 90.6∼92.2%, 95.1∼97.4% 그리고 Pyridalyl은 105.1∼121.2%, 97.3∼100.8%, 91.0∼93.4%이었다. 각 시험 포장에서의 근대 중 약제별 생물학적 반감기는 Flufenoxuron은 2.8일(포장1)과 3.3일(포장2), Thiacloprid는 1.5일, 3.3일 그리고 Pyridalyl은 1.7일, 3.3일로 나타났다.
