The Binding Mechanism of Lecithin to Soybean 11S and 7S Globulins Using Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Interactions between lecithin (Lec) and soybean11S and 7S globulins were investigated using fluorescencespectroscopy. Fluorescence of 11S and 7S was quenchedby Lec. The quenching mechanism was static due toformation of a complex. Thermodynamic parameters weremeasured using the van’t Hoff equation. Interactions ofLec with both globulins were driven by hydrophobic forcesand binding processes were spontaneous. A larger absolutevalue of ΔG for 11S indicated that binding of 11S wasmuch easier with Lec. Three-dimensional fluorescencespectra showed that binding of Lec with 11S more easilyinduced changes in the microenvironments of Trp and Tyrand in the polypeptide backbone structure of 11S. Simulated experiments verified that soybean proteins witha high 11S content combine both more easily and morestrongly with Lec.
Design and Implementation of a High-frequency Signal Generator using the DDS Mixing Principle

Signal generator is a kind of electronic devices that generate repeating or nonrepeating electronic signals which are generally used in designing, testing and so on. Under a certain reference frequency, it is able to control the output main signal frequency by selecting the suitable mixed signal at the output with bandwidth filter. This paper introduces a design and implementation of a high-frequency signal generator based on the DDS mixing principle. The generator uses the characteristics of D/A convertor as DDS output frequency spectrum. Experiments show that using the bandwidth filter, most of the spurious signals are removed and the main frequency is confined, thus, signal of 101MHz could be achieved significantly. Additionally, it is observed that the Sine wave is finally obtained from the figure and the filter circuit is able to confine the signal bigger than 30dB for the frequency over 101MHz.
Vein Image Processing based on Morphology for Medical Diagnosis

Medical diagnosis based on vein characteristics attracted large attentions. The change and some feature of vein will reflect the diseases which can be observed from the diagnosis from specialists. Thus, it is very important to process the vein image for medical diagnosis. In order to process the vein image efficiently and effectively, this paper introduces a vein image processing approach based on the morphology principle, which is suitable for examining the shape of veins. The vein images captured from human fingers are used for the experiments. It is observed that the vein shape could be examined clearly so that any diseases or potential risks could be diagnosed by the doctors, comparing with traditional image processing approaches.

A new hollow fiber filled with the lower refractive index liquid as core constructs a liquid core optical fiber(LCOF). The LCOF have been used as colorimetric cell to determine elements Cr and Cu in the presence of 70%- 50% ethanol or 50% dioxane aqueous solution, based on colored complex of Chromium(VI) with Diphenycarbazid(DPC) and copper with Chromaurd S(CAS) respectively. The sensitivity (1/ng/ml) of calibration curve of Cr and Cu are 0.052, 0.017 over the range 0 - 25, 0 - 24(ng/ml) respectively. The Cr in the animal gum and Nation Standard of China are determined with recoveries of 94 - 102%.
Effect of Ni2Si Precipitates on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cu–Zn Brasses

Novel ultrahigh strength Ni2Sistrengthened brasses were fabricated, and microstructure and properties were investigatedusing scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, hardnessmeasurement, and electrical conductivity test. After optimal treatments (solid solution treated at 900 ℃ for 2 h, hotrolledby 80%, cold-rolled by 80%, and ageing treated at 300 ℃ for 8 h), the Cu-20Zn-3Ni-0.68Si alloy’s hardness, tensilestrength, yield strength, and electrical conductivity is 270.6 HV, 964 MPa, 933 MPa, 21.6%IACS, and 3.4%, respectively. δ-Ni2Si precipitates formed during the annealing process, which had a crystal orientation relationship with the matrix: (001)m// (001) δ, and [110]m// [100]δ. Quasi-cleavage fracture surfaces with shallow dimples were presented in both the Cu-20Zn-1.5Ni-0.34Si and the Cu-20Zn-3Ni-0.68Si alloy. These findings give a new method to develop new high strength low-costbrass copper materials.
THE DOMAIN OF ATTRACTION FOR A SEIR EPIDEMIC MODEL BASED ON SUM OF SQUARE OPTIMIZATION

This paper is estimating the domain of attraction for a class of susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered (SEIR) epidemic dynamic mo\-dels by using sum of squares optimization. First, the stability is analyzed for the equilibriums of SEIR model, and the domain of attraction in the endemic equilibrium is estimated by using sum of squares optimization. Finally, a numerical example is examined.

As a fuzzy set extension, the hesitant set is effectively used to model situations where it is allowable to determine several possible membership degrees of an element to a set due to the ambiguity between different values. Some new hesitant fuzzy operational rules are introduced based on the Hamacher t-conorm and t-norm, whereby we present a multi attribute decision making method under hesitant fuzzy information. In the daily management of library, book selection problem usually is very complex and unstructured, because variety of uncontrollable and unpredictable factors affects the evaluation and decision-making process at different levels. By integrating the multiple attribute decision making method with (Patron Driven Acquisitions, PDA) mode, a novel multiple attribute decision making framework based on Hamacher operations in PDA mode is proposed to select the best book providing the highest satisfaction for the attributes determined in this paper. Finally, a case study is so demonstrated to verify the reliability and applicability of the proposed framework.
