Based on improvement of technology and equipment, passenger car development period becomes shorter and shorter. To follow up this short development period, a simple and clear simulation model is required which can give a development direction of safety system in the early stage of vehicle development process. In this study, a general Madymo side simulation model (general side model) is developed and its application case result is reviewed. A general side model should be simple and clear in order to correspond with its purpose. Therefore one of the main points of model development is to reduce a modeling time and solving time for quick response during development period or even test.

It is essential to develop efficient and cost-effective production methods to achieve or maintain international competitiveness. An innovative production method, such as rotary blanking, enables manufacturers to both reduce expenses and economize production time. However, there are not enough numerical analyses for this process. In this paper, numerical simulations of rotary blanking were performed. After comparing the cutting planes generated by conventional and rotary blanking experimental tests, the cutting areas of two punch geometries were analyzed. The influence of punch geometry on part quality was then investigated through simulations. The procedure for die stress analysis was established and stress distributions of the worksheet and the tools were analyzed. This paper deals with the development and feasible study of the train to pedestrian protection airbag. The concept of the airbag system is to protect the pedestrian like as workers on railroad. The airbag system includes cushions, gas generators , a housing, sliding fixture, anti-bouncing airbag, and a leg protection bumper. Those things were designed and fabricated. The performance of the airbag system was evaluated in the sense of the static deployment test, drop test, dynamic motion test and field(train level) test. The deployment logic, TTF(Time to fire), and the inner pressure of the cushion were also investigated for the airbag.
